Hopefully Sanchez is back next week, who do you drop for him?

Against the spurs it has to be ozil ATM, would say Ramsey but against them everyone needs to work and ozil won't track back

Tough one, ozil provides the passes and not the work rate, theo is not ready for the hustle and bustle. Me I prefer a fit sancez and a fit ox at the moment, but is the ox fit. Tottenham will be full blooded unlike today.

I've thought about it and your right Lee its the only option, unbelievably it has to be Mesut which is harsh but the right thing to do.

Don't get me wrong guys there will be other times when ozil will be more suited than Ramsey or theo, what a great problem to have, forgot about the ox!

no, Ozil and Alexis start on the wings, bring theo on at around 65 mins when their LB and RB's are knackered to punish them

Ozil today ducked out of a clearing header in the second half at the edge of the box. We will need full blooded comittment next Saturday . Both him and theo would be great to bring on if needed next week.

I would start sanchez and rosicky over ozil and theo. Both just give that bit more energy

I think that sanchez fever has taken over the arsenal team, once paulista comes in with his hard tackles and we get the right players in the summer with a DM and a forward/winger I think we can do some serious damage.

of note I noticed many of you guys seem to think ozil did not have a physical game, he actually had the highest amount of sprints and second highest in terms of coverage, and not sure if anyone noticed but he lasted 90 mins, I rarely see him that long, perhaps wenger sees some sort of change for him to keep him on 90 mins.

besides that pass along is worth the game.

Poldolski leaves teams work rate improves 5000% even Ozil catches the bug, coincidence? Yeah most probably but Poldolski was a lazy so and so and a big popular influence amongst his team mates

But will theo still lacking a little sharpness I think Ozil for me too.
Ospina, Bellerin, BFG, Kos, Monreal, Le Coq, Santi, Ramsey, Sanchez, Ozil, Giroud. That line up is pretty scary IMO

Well dags we play cHelski at home 4 games before the end of the season so who knows aye, once wager the spurs out the way we have a really good run till chelski so that's where we can rack up the points :) COYG!

Ed It must be something in the water up your way. My mates an evertonian and he's a closet arsenal fan. I suppose its because of the close proximity of them red teams and wanting them sorted. The only trouble is we haven't managed it as often as he would like.

On a good run now, but where would we have been if better prepared with a few signings before the start of the season

The what if crowd shows up, no time to enjoy the big win. Let's refuse to let the naysayers and Arsene out crowd get us down tonight ;-))

I would like to see us run the table with an invincible worthy run in us getting into the top 3 and challenge for the title, defend the FA Cup and a deep run in the CL. That's right let's shoot high, historic double in the cards?

Gotta say I've always followed the youth and since the start of last season I've had a list of 4 youngsters who I really thought could make it. That list:
Bellerin
Gnabry
Zelalem
Akpom

Bellerin has been brilliant since coming in for Debuchy. I was a bit worried about him defensively but he has been solid defending and a real threat attacking. Was dissapointed he didn't feature more last year but is playing well now and growing in confidence each game.

Gnabry obviously has been injured this season and just coming back. Hopefully he gets some game time before the season ends. Don't really understand why he didn't get more minutes last year either having scored his first goal against Swansea then having that great game against the spurs so I was quite baffled when he hardly played anymore but he still has a big future.

Zelalem I wouldn't expect to see anytime soon but anyone who watched last seasons pre season games will know he looks extremely talented and has great vision. He is very highly rated by everyone at the club and I know it sounds vey forward because he is still so young but it's hard not to see him breaking into the first team eventually.

Last but not least Akpom. He is the one that I was least confident about. Not because I didn't think he was talented but because we built up the likes of Afobe and J.E.T up and they didn't make it but there is something different about Chuba. He is too good for reserve level now and hopefully keeps getting these first team chances and hopefully signs a new contract because I really think he's going to be a great player. I mean just ask sanchez he don't call him Titi for nothing.

Oh and just a side note its great to see our internal solutions working out. Coquelin hasn't put a foot wrong and hopefully continues to play well and same goes for ospina.

When everybody is fit/available, is this our biggest/best squad for many a year?

I think so.

I would be happy to finish 3rd/4th this season and if we pick up FA Cup again, I would be happy Dags.

But, next season, with maybe 2 good quality additions, I expect us to be challenging big time for top spot.

I know its a long way off, but anything less and questions need to be asked.

Not sure why, probably years of failing miserably in CL, but I never 'plan' for it at start of season.

We normally qualify from group stages, but after that, we go no further (obviously, apart from Barca final).

But, maybe this year?

I'm not saying we will do it- but for the first time in a long while I firmly believe there is no club out there we couldn't beat - albeit on a good day with pretty much all of our squad available.
For once we CAN rest a few people - even it it is just one or two and some of the others get a 60 min game instead of 90.
For the last few years we have always had a depleted/knackered squad for all the important games -now we are much stronger.

Of course we will always be better with the absolutely brilliant Sanchez but today does show we can do well if we have to be without him
I still think Giroud is a bigger miss for the team than any other player and who without we struggle most

Gunner today was about getting three points without any fuss. Villa were hopeless, job done. Ozil and walcott got valuable game time and we go into next week, stronger, so spurs get blown away. And sancez back hopefully.

Promising run-out for Akpom once again. He reminds me of Anelka back in his Arsenal day. Seems to know how to apply his pace very well and spot the dangerous areas to run into. Looks set to be incredibly promising, and with enough of these crucial sub appearances in the coming games, it seems it's only a matter of time before he'll get that necessary first goal

Lovely to see a BIG club with a great youth policy and academy coming to fruition. Coquelan, Bellerin, Akpom, Walcott and Gibbs on the bench . I think we've answered the one man team rubbish as well. Hitting form at the right time. By far the most in form team in the country and still in with a shout of 3 trophies. Bring on the spurs :-)

Now is just jostling, april, is when the men stand up and the boys fail. Hope you are still posting the same then.

Well I never thought it would of been 5! Great game, great goal by bellerin, glad to see Ozil get an assist and goal, theo seems to be getting back to the way he was, le coq showed again why he deserves to start every game! Ospina showed why he should be our no.1, we seem so much more assured with him in goal :) buzzing!

Totally agree with you about Ospina. He inspires confidence in me as a fan and a viewer when he's in goal, we look so much more assured and solid.

So so impressed with a number of players who I would only have considered squad/fringe players a few months back! Ospina, Monreal, Bellerin, Coquelin, Rosicky, Akpom! All looking very good! Current squad depth is very very promising :)

Totally agree with you apart from Rosicky, because I've always considered him a very important part of our squad who is at times underused.

I've particularly been impressed with Bellerin and Monreal, Coquelin has been a revelation but both fullbacks have been so dominant in their respective positions and have become vital players in the past few weeks, which at the start of the season I couldn't have imagined saying.

It was probably that ed025 I think she said that "she didn't see any more signings" but then she does tend to indulge a bit too much in the southern comfort, and is also an Everton fan (only just though).

Theo would have got another if he stayed on, looking sharp.

Possibly for one week at some point in time but for a month or 2 seems unlikely.
I don't think anyone knows why I'm sure if they did they'd change it but we are INJURIES R US of football and have to cope accordingly I guess
