EDs, any truth in the Mario Suarez rumours?
Thanks.

Willesden Gooner

{Ed002's Note - I am aware that Suarez wants a move to get more game time and am aware that there is interest in him from Napoli. It doesn't strike me as either a preferred or long-term solution for Arsenal. However, as the story has come from Inda it should be given some credibility.}

Eds, any idea who the French midfielder come centre half is we're apparently talking to(according to Guillem Ballague on sky just now)?

Willesden Gooner

{Ed027's Note - nope

29 Jul 2014 14:15:35
Just read on Guillem Ballagues twitter account that Messi to Arsenal was a made up story and that Wenger is not interested in Casillas or Khedira. Make of it what you will.

Willesden Gooner

1.) I think all of that is well known.

Messi - Silly season rumour.
Casillas - Got Ospina now.
Khedira - Asking for ridiculous wages.

I think a meagre 4 league titles in 110 years is pathetic let alone boring. Puts them level with Sheffield Wednesday, bahahahahahahaha!!

Willesden Gooner

1.) 27 Apr 2015 09:53:33
That did really annoy me when he said that. Clearly he isn't too clued up on Chelsea's history. Honestly he is a great manager but I cannot stand his arrogance.

2.) 27 Apr 2015 09:58:11
Oh come on give them credit - They got exactly what they needed and did exactly what they wanted to do. Arsenal invented winning boring - 1 nil to the Arsenal ring any bells? You'd love to win another title regardless of if it was 'boring' or not. Try to be humble, others on this site are managing it.

{Ed025's Note - well said rosie, spot on mate..

3.) 27 Apr 2015 10:51:11
Rosie I agree with almost you say chelsea are very worthy champions elect and a bit of humidity shouldn't be beyond anyone who hopes to be taken seriously, but personally I'd rather be runners up 100 times watching the invincibles over 38 games than winning a hatrick of titles under George style football ever again, to each thier own I know.

4.) 27 Apr 2015 11:35:46
Agree, G62. As a spectator, you want the spectacle to be as spectacularly entertaining as possible!

5.) 27 Apr 2015 11:46:57
And if you go back to the first half of the season you will see Chelsea getting the results and playing some lovely football. It's easy to forget but they haven't played boring park the bus football all season. It's like a driver in formula one, you give yourself a nice enough lead and then drive safe to make sure the car behind doesn't over take - Liverpool could have done this last year but they didn't and they crashed and burned. Smart football, smart tactics and despite being an unhappy United fan you have to congratulate Chelsea.

{Ed025's Note - im with you rosie..

6.) 28 Apr 2015 22:54:03
RedRosie. The point was not about getting results or how teams play, it was about 4 titles to 14 and the audacity the classless portuguese man had to even mention the history of Arsenal when he manages a small club with no history and a corrupt owner billionaire. I remember the 1-0 to the Arsenal days very well darling, thanks for the patronising reminder and if you'd actually followed Arsenal around the country and gone to as many matches as I did, you'd know how much attractive football we did play during that time and how many spankings we handed out. There's obviously F all of interest going on at your club if you feel the need to come on to the Arsenal page and make out your some kind of authority on football. Now do one back to your non-mancunian bunch and leave us to debate OUR team. This is not a free for all site, that's why we have our own pages

{Ed025's Note - i dont get that WG, if rosie was being abusive or nasty then i could understand your point, but it was a valid argument and other posters are welcome on this and every other teams pages im afraid, G62 and dags often visit other pages and post so i dont see why you object to outsiders having their say, you dont have to agree with them and you can ignore their posts if you like mate, but exclusivity is not happening..

The away goals rule is complete and utter fotheringay. It was introduced to stop "Home" teams sitting back and defending and encourage attacking football. Arsenal scored and attacked in both legs, while Monaco sat back and defended deep in both legs, I don't think they even managed a shot on target at home, proving what a load of tosh it is, simple!

Willesden Gooner

1.) 20 Mar 2015 16:20:22
Would we be asking for change if we made it through on the away goal rule all these seasons in a row? For me we shot ourselves in the foot time after time in the champions league, got rolled over and taken apart in the first leg.

Granted we seemed to do well in the second leg and almost bring it back, but we always leave ourselves with to much to do.

For me the away goal rule was brought in for a good reason, and could be outdated now. But for me, it's never been good enough from Arsenal.

2.) 20 Mar 2015 19:12:00
You absolutely know if the rule was changed next season we'd get Barcelona in last 16 and draw 2 2 at their place 1 1 at home then lose in extra time and we'd all be moaning about the rule change like mad :-)

EDs I've moved and feel I should change my name as it's not geographically accurate, what do I do?
Thanks, good work by the way, you're awesome. I want to have your babies! x

Willesden Gooner

{Ed002's Note - It rather depends where you have moved to WG - and where your heart truly rests. I know practically nothing of Willesdon aside from it being one of those areas of London I was warned off. When I first moved to London back in 1981 I was given a list of go/no-go areas and I am pretty sure Willesdon was on it.

I am probably a little old to support you in your quest to have an Editor's baby - but I rather suspect Ed025 would be keen to snuggle his hairy beer gut in to the small of your back and do what he can to assist.}

1.) Ed I fear that you have been left in charge of ed025's southern comfort whilst he is away, the mention of an ed spooning a poster is not normally your style, as for willesdon though I agree

{Ed002's Note - You might want to forget the spooning whilst you worry about the forking.}

2.) 09 Feb 2015 21:16:43
Ed,

I totally agree.

Or, maybe I might disagree.

Choices, choices, choices :-)

WENGER OUT!

Willesden Gooner

1.) Patience WG were closing in on last season now we are only 7pts behind this time last year, who knows we could end up with a better 4th than ever before :-)
I think we should put the first half of this season very firmly and totally down to injuries and the naughty naughty stadium:-)

2.) Now that's funny!

3.) Don't get me going.

14 Jan 2015 19:46:59
Any one else notice, looks like Ozil's been on the roids since his injury, proper beefed up!?

Willesden Gooner

{Ed025's Note - stera or hemme?...probably the latter, cos hes a pain in the arse..

1.) I get the feeling your not a big Ozil fan Ed

{Ed025's Note - what makes you think that G62?.. :)

2.) Its the little things that give it away Ed :-)

3.) I think it's this years shirts, theo looked like it too although they've both prob been in the gym for the last six months as they've not played much football

4.) 14 Jan 2015 20:43:11
Lol Ed,

Love that :-)

5.) I thought it was the shirts until I saw one of him in September and now. Definitely bulked up a bit. Whether that translates to his game. Who knows.

6.) 14 Jan 2015 21:19:33
Think you have to beef it up in the prem as it's so physical. I know theo purposely hit the gym to deal with the physicality, guess Ozil has too. Has was getting swatted alot. I still think Ozil is going to turn up second half of the season

{Ed025's Note - i hope your right baggins..or you might have to change your name mate.. :)

7.) Yeah alexisbaggins has a nice ring to it

8.) 14 Jan 2015 23:11:39
here's an embarrassing confession - around 4 years ago I was on the currant bun as nasribaggins. Then the greedy merc broke my heart along with RVP and Fabs. Football never the same after that period. Hope for Ozil, will depend if the fans are patient. Our lot can turn quite quickly in my experience

{Ed025's Note - have you ever thought you may be a jinx baggins?...your new username should be.... jonahbaggins mate.. :)

9.) 14 Jan 2015 23:20:05
Baggins the bock?

10.) You on quite a roll eh Ed025? lol

Nasribaggins > Nasri was sold
Ozilbaggins > Ozil got injured 3 months

Care to change it to Mourinhobaggins? :D

11.) 15 Jan 2015 11:46:33
or wengerbaggins? There are a few on here that might like that jinx. I'm firmly sat on the fence

{Ed025's Note - aiden mcgeady baggins would be good for me mate..

12.) RVPBAGGINS! Mwwwaaahhhaaaaa

Bringing arteta on instead of Flamini is one of the reasons Wenger needs to go, pathetic! No place for loyalty if you want to win trophies, Arteta wouldn't make it in to most teams in the premier league, he's useless.
