Could it be that CC, Malaga, Metal & Ed002 are all the same person? They have all vanished!

Come back guys, it's boring without you.

Believable5 Unbelievable14

I was thinking that for sometime before the drama happened. If it is true, then I wonder what that chap is like in front of a mirror.

Nas

Agree3 Disagree4

Agree with the first line, but why want the moaning monty brigade back?

Agree8 Disagree1

The Eds can confirm that their IP addresses are different, they've done it before.

Agree4 Disagree0

I don't think ED002 and Metal are the same but possibly CC and Malaga are, Malaga has a habit of turning up on the site when the transfer window opens and CC disappears.
Metal and CC share the same views in my opinion.
But if they all the same it don't matter because I never served my apprenticeship under Bergkamp it was Henry.

Agree4 Disagree2

Have I missed something I enjoyed the banter what went down on here with ed002 since I've been back from traveling its all gone quite can anyone explain please.

Agree2 Disagree0

So glad they are gone (not ed002). Was getting so repetitive and boring.

Jensen Hatrick

Agree5 Disagree2

Champagne charlie already came on here and confirmed that he was using the name malaga gooner, and he did it over a month ago. He gave some lame excuse about being unemployed and at home bored.

pretty cool guy.

Agree2 Disagree1

Oh good, they are gone so you guys can keep drooling over players we will never buy and keep worshipping a person clueless manager.

ooh will we sign Isco, Jovetic or break the bank with CR7. blah blah blah!

They kept it real.
CC and Malaga were the same.
Metal was Raz

Agree6 Disagree0

As Malaga Gooners biggest fan, and therefore Champagne and Metals, I can confirm that no one wants them back on here posting. There was one month where he posted as Champagne Charlie so often I thought he had his own exclusive rumour page

Paul

Agree6 Disagree2

Raz changed his name to Metal Gooner after some time away from the page, because he would get so much stick for his posts and there were anonymous posts continuing to get personal with him. He came back and said as much, after a few weeks posting as MG.

Anyone who thinks Champagne Charlie is metal has no brain. There's every chance CC and Malaga were the same and even Tony Soprano.

You're right the page is quiet without them.

Ed002 could have named and shamed the posters giving him abuse. He also could have cheered up a whole lot and not answered everybody's posts like someone who didn't want to be here.

But yeah, guess the page is now way 'better' with the one line posts and daft transfer speculation.

And like I said - the Eds can easily confirm the IP addresses of at least MG, CC and Ed002 were all different. {Ed027's Note - Metal and Charlie are different people, Malaga is also different

Agree2 Disagree2

Thanks Ed027, maybe now posters will stop chatting nonsense about them. They're gone, let's just leave it at that.

Agree2 Disagree0

Well didn this one spiral, personally I thought it was a joke but some people "why so serious" lol

to all the ramsey haters I think you should lay off him, I know he's not great every game but regardless of what position he gets put in he's one of very few players that works hard and gives his all
i might get some disagrees for this post but I think it's true

Believable28 Unbelievable2

Gervinho works hard to but he still sucks monkey balls!
Chess

Agree2 Disagree11

Lets get behind Wenger & the team for the run in. I am fed of all the moaning, we sound like spud fans!

Agree17 Disagree2

Ramsey is 21, less than 2 yrs removed off an injury where his leg was snapped in half. and oh ya, is being asked to play central midfield for a team that plays like we do.

He will absolutely come good

Wenger isn't an person

Agree6 Disagree0

Your fed up with the moans, wheres your sign off name, is it because you are one of these.

Agree2 Disagree1

He has had a better season than last but I still feel disappointed when him and gervinho names are announced in the starting line up.

Agree4 Disagree0

How old is he? Remember how much stick song got. then suddenly he was the the 1st player on the team sheet (most used player last season I think).

Similar story with Gerv. good preseason and confidence up meant he was banging them in at start of season (scored as many by sept as the entire previous season). Injury/ACN put him back. The skill is there, his decision making/shots taking will improve.

Agree3 Disagree4

^^^ Gervinho will shortly be 26 how long does it take to learn to shoot, this is normally one of the first things you learn.

Agree2 Disagree0

Anything else think every young Arsenal player suffers from the ghost of Cesc. Just because he was a mature at 21 doesn't mean every other player can. Also everyone forget Cesc had an off-season or two before he really came great.

szczesny's father has come out and said that szczesny was playing injured for a couple of months, and then when he returned from injury, he was thrown in at the deep end without any recovery/training time.

he basically blames wenger entirely for his son's drop in form, and says he has a lot to answer for.

in my opinion, this isn't going to help his son very much. infact because its wenger, it would probably be the opposite, and we won't see him again for the rest of the season!

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Szczesny hasn't matured as a keeper & needs this wake up call. Fabianski looked a far more mature & vocal keeper, whilst keeping two consecutive clean sheets.

You would think that with us so far behind, Arsene would splash the cash, but he won't change his miserly ways. if he doesn't spend big this summer then I want him gone as we need at least 5 top class players, but he won't admit it. His reign as arsenal boss has become stagnant and we need refreshing. iwould back him if he changed his policy and spent big, but it ain't going to happen, so buy buy wenger.

Believable7 Unbelievable12

Although I agree with your opinion of 5 class signings, the problem lies with trying to integrate them into the first team straight away, it would be like training a brand new team and the amount of time it would take to settle it would be too big a risk for AW. He will probably draft in or 1 or 2 class signings over the next couple of transfer windows and while keeping our main 11 happy he will bring in the quality we are crying out for,

N. Wales Gunner

Agree2 Disagree3

5 world class and a t least 11 signings in total. Our squad is embarassing.

Agree2 Disagree10

20 Mar 2013 18:06:43
world class players needed and loads of deadwood sold. but who wants to sign them!

Agree0 Disagree0

World class players don't need time to integrate. Look how easily RVP slotted in at Man Utd.

Agree4 Disagree1

We don't need 5 world class players (although it would be nice). How many world class players have Man United got - I'd say 3 at most, and they are 50 points ahead of everyone else in the league. The other teams in the world that have that many world class players are Madrid and Barca.

Realistically one or two top-quality players is all we might get but that could make a big difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2013 13:16:50
Sorry Mate, not all World Class ll integrate straight-away like RVP. He's in EPL for 8yrs before heading to Man. United, so its easy for him. Look at Robinho, Shevy, Ballack etc, they find it difficult to cope.

Would anyone else here take Sanchez from Barcelona?

He is going to leave this window (I think)
He is top quality, he shouldn't cost too much (don't barca owe us money or something?)

I think he could be a ripper signing,

Thoughts?

Nick.

Believable23 Unbelievable3

Alexis would be a brilliant signing. just absolutely lethal. think of a front line of sanchez on the left, wally on the right and poldi in them middle. absolutely lethal. we are done with the midfield poultry. however we still need a CDM and a RB and a CB and a backup GK or make our current GK the backup.

Sanchez, ibrahimovic, cesc, all play the position in barcelona occupied by the magician. why would they be given an opportunity? is anyone else really better than him?

Cesc cannot hold down a starter spot, he cannot play on the wing and he cannot play where xavi does.

Sanchez can play on the wing. but his movement is mostly in straight lines of off the ball movement. not a lot of roaming allowed for a player of his ability.

At arsenal with no messi he would have the freedom to move and implement himself in useful areas. poldi and wally and sanchez can interchange and it would be brilliant. however I see it unlikely to happen.

Agree6 Disagree2

I like him, but do we need another player who has had fitness problems? and I would dubious of signing any player from Barca, i'd probably get 10 goals a season in that team haha

the player I would love to see at Arsenal would be Gonzalo Higuain

1404

Agree5 Disagree7

Your post is spot on generally, but cesc has started a LOT of games for barcelona this season. Only their main stars (messi, iniesta, pique, alvez) have started more I think. Alex song might be struggling at barca, but cesc fits in perfectly.

Sanchez to arsenal would be excellent, because I believe we need a good winger, more than we need a good striker (though we need both)!

Agree2 Disagree0

I am aware cesc fits in that team. but they only have soo many slots and in the champions league encounter with milan it was a fact that he would have hindered their progress if he played upfront. so he did not play at all.

eventually he will play the xavi role no doubt. regardless I wish him the best. and he will be fine. he is a very talented player.

sad for song as he will be a wasted talent. and sad for sanchez unless he really does look at us as an option.

we need his kind. hard working and quick. he would be the right player. we have Ox and gervinho to use as subs for the wings then.

Agree1 Disagree0

. we sell our best to Barca and then buy their rejects. Super!

Agree0 Disagree1

Its not like sanchez is a reject. its not like silvester from man u. that is a reject.

Curious about fans thoughts on our potential signings from last two windows (players we were linked to, or fans wanted to have bought);
Etienne Capoue, Isco, Villa (maybe more I don't know)

Do we still think this is the best we can do? Or are they, and i'm quoting a post here, "Lazy choices"

Are we overlooking other more suitable players, and waiting for these players to be found? Or are we happy with these players and think they can do the job

Personally I think we can do better, but 4 months ago I would have loved to have these players

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I think Isco is better than we can do. Capoue would come if Wenger pulled his finger out and spent some money, but will he do it?

the david villa ship has sailed. would be amazing to have him right now, for the remaining 9 games of the season. but in 6 months time when we are looking to start the new season, someone younger will probably be more desirable.

ive just seen a FB announcement about boycotting the Wigan and United game to be 'heard' to the board. IMO I thought this might have been over given the last couple of results and the fact we all know this last run in is imperative we get maximum results so if any of you are part of the 'BSM' then please read the following;

this is pathetic. absolutley pathetic. maybe if you took your negative vocals/actions and converted it into some positive vocals/actions you might see a change in performance on the pitch. its partly u lot boycotting the games and putting the players down that puts such a negative vibe on the team and other fans etc. just go to the games and shout your heart out for the club cause if your hearts in it then youl want us to get 3rd/4th, youl want CL for the money involved and the names we can attract. there's 9 games to go with 27 points for grabs and your talkin about missing games and causing a ruckuss, wtf? rubbish fans, just drive YOUR team to 3rd and enjoy it! this isn't by any means a trophy but u know it will b us who feels embaressed if we drop below the scums, enter (or even miss out) europa and ul b thinkin well maybe if we'd turned up that day. just a thought for you.

GTID what ever the result, home, away, rain, shine - GTID!

COYG!

Believable13 Unbelievable3

I think we should just get behind the team for the remaining 9 games and get ourselves in to the champions league.
After that we should stop going to the games until we spend enough and strengthen the squad. So until 31st Aug we can see what is happening and by not going to the stadium, let the board know hey have time until the transfer window closes or get used to the empty chairs.

How the "mighty" have fallen.

Just saw that Francis Jeffers was on the score sheet for Accrington Stanley.

Fair play to him actually wanting to play football unlike some eejits in the premiership.

The fact he plays for Accrington should answer your question.

What do people think when we heard that the challenge by McManaman on the Newcastle player won't be taken further by the FA? I think its a disgrace that such players are still allowed to carry on playing, and he isn't the only one.

Former ref Graham Poll (who booked a player 3 times) compiled a top 10 list of the worst tackles he had seen and surprise, surprise, none of them included leg breaks to Eduardo, Ramsey and Diaby, and not even Balotellis on Song last season, but I suppose its more a surprise he managed to count to 10.

Point is, this has to be dealt with as hard as possible and if in the cases of Roy Keane or Ben Thatcher, then it should be considered as assault which the police should deal with.

Keane also claims that Nani's red card was justified (for me, it was a harsh decision but not a howler, if that makes sense) and that's fine, but its the manner in how he comes across and aggressively makes his opinions heard, and as good a player he was, I just cannot stand him.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

I think the rule as it currently stands needs to be scrapped. You need consistency in decisions, it makes no sense for a panel to be able to overturn red cards, but not to have a panel review dangerous play even if seen by a match official. Of course, once the panel is set up an increasing fine / ban regime should be set up for repeat offenders (that type of player).
In fairness, the same should go for simulation (that type of player).

I think this helps the referee out and moves the game forward much like goal line technology, it is impossible for the referee in an instant with no replay to see everything or if he sees it to have a perfect angle or the stones to make the call (especially if he is a linesman) a panel would take that pressure off and as I mentioned above it is already occurring on some decisions already. BUT importantly you would limit the variation between referees on what is a red card offence.

As to involving the police, I think only in the clearest of cases, assaulting a fan or writing in your autobiography that you intentionally injured the person, should an assault charge be laid. (Funny that those two classy individuals come from the same club. )

Where it is a heat of the moment challenge even if poorly conceived I think that the police are best left out of the equation.

Even the Shawcross challenge, although terrible, was a player attempting to go for the ball, not intending to injure rambo. He was miles behind, but I do not think he is intending to break the individual's leg.
