It's seems common knowledge that Sagna will be leaving this summer and he's heads already slightly gone

By argument is why get Corcha, we have a young good RB in Jenkinson so why not let him be first choice? I'd prefer an experienced RB

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You are 100% correct, Sagna isn't and shouldn't be on our team. really Jerkinson wld have done better and also provide better pull-outs for the attackers.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Rangel would be a good option. Generally quite solid, with prem experience and a good price. also not too likely to displace and hinder Jenks

Agree0 Disagree0

Sagna lost so many point´s for us this season, Love him but he´s not Arsenal class any more : (
Jenks will be first choice next season and corchia and bellerin will push him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why on earth did Jenk not get a run yesterday? After giving away the penalty I would have sent Jenk on. Sagna was really off yesterday.

Dear Chris the REDman

Don't know what you were smoking when you watched the game but I'm travelling home from it.

No complaints on the pen - it was a clear one

RVP's foul deserved a red card but the ref bottled it. The only thing redder than that tackle was your leaders nose!

Jones tackle may have deserved a red also

Rio brought Gibbs down in the area toward the end but the ref bottled it

You were only controlling the game for bits of the second half. Kos had RVP in his pocket all game. The only way he was going to score was a pen of free kick.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I love the way u accuse me of being biased while leaving out all of the things that didn't go our way like ramsey getting a 2nd yellow, rio got the ball (just) but he did, but I woulda had no complaints if a oen were awarded as he gave the ref a decsion to make.
rvp bottled it? no my friend your keeper made a very good head save if I remember, u had 2 good chances we had 5-6 that's simple, a deserved draw but if one team was gunna win it was us!

Agree0 Disagree0

REDman,

Twice as many chances as you, twice as many on target, DDG made a load of saves, how many times did your players block shots, you have a 10 minute spell and you're the only team that was going to win. Priceless.

Your football knowledge has been described as that of a barbie doll, you've just confirmed it and next time you reply to being called thicker than a whale omelette it's always best in your reply if you spell omelette correctly, proved that to be correct too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Every Manchester United fan is the same. win a trophy and they are the best team in the world. can't wait for city to get cavani and chelsea to get falcao. we may not be in in. mainly if we buy no one. but clearly the title will be grabbed from their hands by better teams.

yest it proved that utd always get the benefit of the doubt. I remember 3 instances last year where RVP got hacked in the pen area and nothing was given. it was a penalty no denying that. but its amazing how it was just given. otherwise its always a ponderous thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

No name u just dnt get it do u?

Right the shots yes u had maybe 1 or 2 more on target but tell me do u remember when arsenal used to have 6 shots on target and if they didn't score 3 goals the keeper mustof had a blinder? because I do! If u really think DDG had one sunday u are wrong. Tbh I dnt care we got a point the league is done and that point helped u in your quest for that 4th place trophy, I would rather u in there than any1 else.
Barbie doll lol that hurts, make sure u tell me when u have an original qoute instead of regurgitating wot some one else has said.
U derserved your point i'm not debating that! But if ure keeper doesn't get his head in the way or we were more precise in our heading it could of been 3-1. Can u debate that?
Chris the REDman
P. s try leaving a name do I know next time who it is talking rubbish instead of hiding behind a no name, any1 would think u dnt believe wot u say

Wow so now ure complaining about correct calls! U lot are getting worse yhan Liverpool fans

REDman,

Your banter is like your midfield, pathetic, so DDG never had to make a save, we could of been 3 nil up before you even got your goal, but if's don't count. I wasn't regurgitating I was pointing out your flaws, which are considerable.

I know you Utd girls hate it when people don't leave a name, like someone posts a truth and you girls hate it because it is the truth and your only come back is that no name 5h1te.

I'm betting your not even a Manc!

Agree0 Disagree0

Whooo hang no name I didn't say he didn't have ti make a save and if I did its was my fone, I said ddg didn't have to make any worldies all simple stops for a team of the year goalkeeper tbh, remind me how many players got in that team from arsenal?

My banter is not bad your replys are pathetic!
Chris the REDman

Agree0 Disagree0

How many players got into team of the year?

we could sell our entire squad and be competitive. tell red nose to try that and he would quit. because the best he could do then was fight relegation.

again we don't buy superstars we make them.

you guys are no better than city and chelsea. at least they admit it. unlike you closet fans. who don't want to admit the reality. the real plastic fans are united fans.

and blaming the phone? new low. so do you send the msgs intended for your man lover to your gf too by mistake? oops.

Lakerville

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't agree that they're no better than City or Chelsea. God I hated them when we were fighting them, but I can't help but respect them. Smug gits, but rightly so.

Have the rules changed or are the tv just persons, Bruce Pope says "There is the possibility that Chelsea can qualify [for the Champions League] if they win the Europa League - and they have a one-goal advantage after a 2-1 semi-final first-leg win at Basel - but the push in the league must continue, especially with Manchester United and Spurs their next opponents. " in his round up of the Chelsea Swansea game.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They are pushing for the europa league winners to go to champions league. but from what I last read. won't be introduced until 2015, when they expect and overhaul of the current format for both competitions.

So doesn't matter if chelsea win the europa league by 500-0. they will get the spot only if top 4.

Hi ed :)
The reports of Fabregas and his rumoured unsettled nature as things stand at Barca, are they true? If so, could he be in line for a sensational return to Arsenal?
Also, if there was one player you had to put your money on joining Arsenal this summer, who would it be?
Thanks yet again mate :)
Cheers!

sean

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I really don't think cesc will return this summer. sadly. but I have a hope that he will return some day.

the dreamsigning this summer would be falcao, he is a top quality striker, who can make something out of nothing. is it realistic though? no.

well well well I thought u were lucky today boys and larkerville,

I see your reply to my last post laker embrassing to say the least, but oh well if u think city are doing things the 'right way' compared to us and tbh u to an extent fair enough. How u can say we DEFO won't win the league next year is mental, how do u know this? But let's be honest we will be a hell of a lot closer than u.

Anyways now I've cleared that up with that, to quote stoner 'bowel nugget' that was a lively game, and quite how there can be any (and there are a few) complaints about that pen I dnt know!
I thought u lot were lucky to get away with a point tbh, yes you had a good first 30 mins but we had more clear chances than we normally need to win a game and couldn't so I guess a well done has to go to the arsenal for that.
Rvp really is pure class and really showed you what u had and at the end gave u all a nice little wave, that was nice.

So all in all IMO u just managed to scrape the result you went out to get and i'm happy u did, because like us u are a proper club and deserve to be there fighting, no matter if laker is not happy u doing the 'Man city' was

Gd bye lads

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We could have been 3 up at the break. A point was good result for both teams.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lucky to get a draw? Typical Man Utsh*ted fan. You were lucky not to be 2 nil down if Ramsey had squared to Walcott. Why is everybody lucky if Utd draw. Face it yes domestically you're the best team but where has that gotten you in Europe over the last two years. knocked out of the group stage. You're a force on the wain and one I can't wait for us to climb over when Fergie leaves.

Agree0 Disagree0

A proper club? How do you figure that? You have spent multi millions on players. Rooney 30m, Veron 28m, De Gea 19m, Ferdinand 28m, the list goes on!

City are only doing what United have been doing for years! Buying other peoples talent!

We are run right. not your lot!

We are only 2 or 3 players from dominating!

Talk $hite on your own page. not ours!

I'll set Malaga gooner on ya in a moment!

CAMMY don't worry mate I am monitoring the CR** that's coming out of his mouth.

i wonder will they have to float a few more shares his summer to pay a few more bills.

malaga gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris redman. one point I agree with you on is lakerville is an absolute joke.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol yes we are run right, if u look at the new ffp rulings coming into place soon i'm sure u will see we are in a very good place, like yourselves. The argument that some how u are run right compared to us from cammy did make me laugh, how does that work? Because u dnt spend money and we do? Give it a rest! U used to spend money, remember Reyes £19m, wiltord etc now u sell.
Im sure once u look at this game tomorrow u will see if any team was gunna win it was gunna be us, we had 4-5 good goal scoring opportunities to your 2, we were well in control after 25 mins and i'm sure if we needed to win that game we could of.
Lol wondered how long Malaga could wait to put he's pointless tripe in, all that time to think malaga and floating share jibes! How old is that now? Really is that all u can think of? Zzzz
Anyways I bet cammy has creamed his pants, malaga reads his posts, made his day that. {Ed027's Note - Reyes cost 10.5m, and could of risen to 17m, given, he only played 69 times, so I highly doubt we had to pay that £6.5m, we also got most of our money back when we sold him to Atletico Madrid

Agree0 Disagree0

Still willing to pay them sort of fees back then though ed!

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris redman, malaga gooner is right, your owners are having to sell the club bit by bit to asian consortiums, WHY, because Man United do exactly the same as city and chelsea, you buy your way to success, if that's what floats your boat fair enough, but stop living in denial
trev the gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Good stuff. I will just wait in the shadows. I don't need to hound my point of view on you.

you only see what you want to see.

Remember red nose won't be there forever, giggs is nearing his grave, rio is one game away from being in a wheel chair, vidic is your diaby.

same tactic does not work every year. this year the strikers won the title. but I can say for sure other teams will prepare for you lot.

everything in life has a cycle, , liverpool, man utd, nokia. its just a matter of time. enjoy it while it lasts. because when people come mocking you ain't going to like the sound.

also what the others said about Manchester United not being different to City or chelsea. whatever makes you sleep at night I guess.

Agree0 Disagree0

And again to mr anon, insulting me.

no problems in insults man. I can take it. i'm not sure you can.

try leave a name next time. be a man/woman

Lakerville

Agree0 Disagree0

The term money buys trophies came from the united era of buying players for 30 mill. I don't need to look at syd's transfer fees. its all over the internet.

outside of city last few years utd pay second highest agent fees. always good to do some under table activity.

Do I need to talk about the Chevrolet deal? or do you have another take on how an unauthorised deal became legit, only for the guy to be fired later?

why was alex son caught up in the panaroma investigation that he banned tv from OT media room?

truth hurts. scamsters will remain scamsters. thugs remain thugs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Laker how on earth do u expect me to take anything u say seriously, I mean even your own fans think u talk rubbish mate.
Yeh yeh yeh every1 is ruining football because now poor old arsenal can't compete! Maybe u should look at why u can't compete rather than why we can?
Personally I think np name got u spot on mate.
Chris the REDman
P. s please dnt sick malaga on me anymore i'm still trying to get over his last comment, hurt that did.
Can anybody tell me arsenals real stadium name? So long since u lot sold out I've forgot

Agree0 Disagree0

Take me seriously? hahah. are you 5? some swindon fc fan turned bradford fan turned united fan is coming on here telling me about arsenal?

im not worried about Arsenal. we are fine. i'm not in denial. but us fans always have class and always will. we support it through down times as well. when things go wrong for you. about 2 billion people will switch allegiances. including yourself.

talking about Arsenal selling the stadium name?

which is the official drink of man utd? official watch of man utd? official cell phone carrier of man utd? official training groud of man utd. I could name 32 more but i'd rather let you google it.

there's probably an official Manchester United bacon and egg breakfast. sellouts.

if they could sell you they would.

and i'm ok with the fact that some people don't like me on here. its not a popularity contest and everyone is free to air their view. Unless you don't like that side of it because your from syria and your president Bashaar Al -asaad's personal trainer.

To be fair to Sagna, he was good defensivly apart from 1 huge mistake. Koscielny was world class today, Ransey and Arteta also very good. Having Cazorla on the left did leave us very exposed. Il take the draw as united were very dangersous in the 2nd half.

Chelsea got United, Spurs and Everton so could be tough for them. We 100% need to win our next 3. No excuses. We can keep this good form going.

Detroit Gooner

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes we defo need the max 9 points from our final 3 games. QPR next which should be straightforward enough as they are already down, they lack character. Then Wigan at home which will be tough as they are still fighting to stay up and then Newcastle final game (They should be safe by then) that are pretty bad defensivly but can be dangerous on their day.

What goes for us now is that Spurs and Chelsea have to play each other so one or both will drop points, so any result there can only benefit us in a way. Chelse still have some hard games with Everton and Utd at OT to play adding in to the Uefa cup 2nd leg aswell.

It will be tight but I still think we will do it.

Agree0 Disagree0

You make a good point about Carzorla although he a had a pretty good game on the ball especially in 1st half because he likes to come inside he often leaves the LB exposed, its good job really that Gibbs has bags of energy and is quick.

Our squad lacks proper naturel wide men which means we are off balanced with too many central players and can mean the central areas can still get too condensed when we attack. I just do not like this 4-3-3 and it does not get the best our of all our curent players.

Sagna has been poor of late and Jenkison should be playing instead. He was our weak link today and was exposed By Utd at key moments.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramsey was not good today.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramsey was outstanding today!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramsey was my MOM today, most improved player this year and he is showing he wants to win every tackle header and match as a whole, if you think he wasn't good today you must have been watching another match.

1404

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramsey may make a couple of mistakes a game such as an easily given away pass and can be timid to shoot when he really have, but boy does he put in a shift. He runs about all over the place and while this does not make a good player on its own you can tell he is talented. He played very well today and for every mistake he does four or five good things.
The lucky thing is that the mistakes don't usually cost us, such as giving away a silly penalty.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can someone say Ramsey was not good?

Thought him, Per, Kos and Arteta were excellent along with the keeper

SY4

Agree0 Disagree0

Kos was my MOM today.

Agree0 Disagree0

Since the start of 2013 Ramsay has def. improved. game after game. I'm pleased for the player. He struggled a long time after the leg break, but has shown determination and effort, and importantly for the last 2/3 games he's not performing that 360 degree turn that had me stressed out! He slowed every attack down when circling round, and I'm glad that he's (almost) stopped. Kos. was superb, and Mert.
was not far behind him. We need Defensive mid, Keeper, and Top Striker as minimum requirements for next season. With good additions we could be realistic challengers!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2013 18:33:14
After today, I think we need to let Sagna go. Get a new RB and have Jenk and a new RB compete for the spot. Sagna can't do anything on offense anymore and was the only reason we gave up a goal.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Apr 2013 18:25:32
any bets on how many anti sagna posts are going to be up here soon?

i have big respect for the guy as he was one of our best players for many seasons but my word has he lost it. we've been carrying him all season and this game epitomised that fact. a perfect example of wengers faults is continuosly playing sagna when he has a very hungry and talented jenkinson sitting on the bench.

we need a proper winger gervinhio, walcott, padolski, ox don't do it for me and we need to replace arteta he slows things down too much with his side way passes he also gives away silly fouls.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree although we gave it good go today our side can still look off-balanced with no real wide men and too many central players. If look at Utd they always have a good balance to their side and always use proper wingers that look to make the pitch as wide as possible to help create space. Although some may not agree I think a player like Nani may well be worth making a bid for if Utd want to sell.

Gervinho, Podolski, Cazorla are just not as effective out wide as they are centrally.

Still do not like this 4-3-3 that we play and a DM, Winger and Sriker are needed. I do think our back 4 is that bad But Sagna needS dropping for Jenkinson. TV5 has had bad season but I still think he has quality and will hopefully come back strong next season.

Well 1-1 had the better of the game 1st half but Sagna's silly challange let them off the hook to make it 1-1.

Even 2nd half more but we had a good spell toward the end and could have nikced in with a bit more luck, some good defending by Utd kept us out. 1-1 overall was a fair result really as they had some dangerous moments also.

How do you win a penalty against Utd?

SY4

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Rio took the ball. So how could it be a penalty?

I am disappointed we never buried a few of our several chances today.

You must be disappointed that you only made two decent chances, one being offside.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

That being said, I fully expect Arsenal to win the remainder of their games, with Spurs dropping points between now and the end of the season. Chelsea 3rd, Arsenal 4th, Spurs 5th.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sydney,

By your logic Sagna's reckless challenge was not a penalty.

Since Sagna got the ball before clattering RvP.

- James R.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rio made enough contact with the ball to divert the ball away from the player before he made contact with the player. Sagna didn't divert the ball away from RvP before he clattered him. He didn't get enough on the ball to prevent it being a goalscoring opportunity. So therefore he took RvP down whilst RvP still had a chance to score.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

How many penalties have been awarded for Vs against this season?

If that tackle had been against Utd at OT, it would have been a penalty without fail.

Also, your centre half should have been off for his second tackle from behind just like Sagna should have been off.

1-1 half time played well more hunger, Utd left of the hook by Sagna's sloppy tackle for the penalty.

Our goal was slightly offside mind, but we desvered to be in the lead as we have largely dominated Utd in that half. First the 50/50's and Cazrola and Rosicky playing well and finding spaces. Keep it up guys and we might just win this one.

Hey Eds,

Seen a couple of rumours about us and spurs being in a battle for Soldado from Valencia. Is there any concrete interest from us even if he is a back up target? Dunno about anyone else but I think I would prefer him to Jovetic. Soldado is slightly cheaper and has scored something like 70 goals in 105 appearences. He would fit in quite well with the pace of the team.

I usually hold optimism before we play a big team, knowing if we put in a good performance we can beat anyone from Barca to Bayern. However I am never optimistuc before a Arsenal vs Man U game. They are always that one team that repeatedly outclass us. I'm sorry for being negative but 1 win in last U says it all.

Wenger needs to get his tactics spot on today. I'm hoping injueed or not, Podolski gets his chance up front. If Gervinhio and Ramsey start in place of Wilshere and Ox I might just break down into tears. Cazorla has to be played through the middle. I'm struggling to see where the goals will come from. I'm hoping Jenkinson - Mertesacker - Koscielny - Monreal is the back 4. Biggest question is who will start for Man U upfront. I think RVP and Welbeck which might be hard to cope with.

Predictions? I think we will be lucky to get a draw. 0-0 or 1-1. After this if we win all ours against low league opposition we are most likely to get 4th or 3rd. Chelsea vs Spurs will be massive.

I would just like to add, Utd have been the best team this season, much as it pains me and after all we sold Robin to Utd.

NI Gooner.

Hi Ed,

I was wondering what our chances are of getting Cesc Fabregas back or if he is even a good fit with the current team? I am guessing all these rumours of Barcelona being willing to sell him this summer are false but I want them to be true because I miss having him be a Gooner.

Thanks! {Ed027's Note - Check the questions page

I want cesc back! Forget jovetic, bring our captain back wenger!

Well he should've never been captain. Nowhere near being vocal enough to lead the team. But I'd bring him back anytime, he's world class.

Hi people, just wandering that with giroud now being banned would you rather see walcott or podolski play through the centre? Personally for today I'd prefer podolski in the centre with walcott on the right and chamberlain on the left, just to see how capable united's defence is with dealing with that much speed and power together. Most teams have one or the other but I feel today we could threaten on both fronts?
Thanks

Hi mate - I'd have walcott down the middle for his pace in attack - I don't know how pod would do on his own - none of them can be worse than giroud right?

Can't imagine why anyone would go for Theo over the the Pod, in front of goal Pod is deadly whereas Theo is just damn right frustrating.
Pace doesn't make a footballer.

Stop wandering mate, keep still!

Wondering is fine though.

Ed (and everyone else too), my first post, please reply. Has there been ANY interest in Cesc from Arsenal? What does Cesc feel like at barca, looking to move? {Ed027's Note - Welcome mate. We are in no position to look at Cesc, just look at how he left, like he was going home, he's happy, he's with his family and his heart feels at home. But if Barca want to sell, expect him back at Arsenal, if not there are serious issues at our club, Don't get your hopes up though

that was the case when he left. lately iv been hearing fans are booing him and want him sold. hence the question. there's this (reliable)guy on twitter who claims a 30m signing has been agreed with a player, caveat being top 4 finish. not revealing any names. fingers crossed its cesc.
