Game over!!

Arsenal have lost this game. against southampton 2-0

how can we 6 defensive minded players yet conceive stupidily.

AW lacks tactics, clearly

ajz

1.) And Szczeney can be an utter ballbag sometimes

i have been studying Sagna, and I've come to a 70% conclusion that he needs to be replaced.

he has indirectly caused/concieved us 2 goals in the last 3 matches.

what are the opinions of the House!

ajz

1.) I think he is better this season than last few, for me it's been Jenkinson for a while now but both competing has to be Good

2.) He's good cover for defenders but I don't think he's as good as he was 3 years ago (2 leg breaks will do that to you.)

Montoya could come in. But I think a more experienced right back is needed and jenkinson as back up still.

3.) 30 Sep 2013 09:48:36
Although better than last season he is still not on top of his game, he seems to lose concentration to easily which is the reason he has cost a couple of goals. But our unbeaten run says he can't be doing that badly.

Thats the problem, changing a winning team and Jenks needs a good run of games to see where he is at, he himself got caught in possession against Swansea in a dangerous position, but he had just come on.

It's like a rock and a hard place. I would have liked Jenks to have started as number 1 this season but think he will have to wait for his chance again and just try and grab it.

4.) I think Jenkinson is ready to replace him. but we still need depth and having sagna as a backup is not a bad option.

however if we can buy a RB which will challenge Jenks for the RB spot. even better.

5.) Yes sagna has not been the same player and needs replacing tbh also mertesacker doesn't do it for me at fault for the Swansea goal I kno most guys love big per but I'd like another solid cb to partner koscielny Montoya and abate would be good replacements for sagna also I think we made a mistake not signing kolo toure on a free he's been liverpools best defender and can play right back

6.) I don't agree with any of these posts. Jenkinson is a country mile off Sagna. Quicker down the wing, that's it, and he's cost us quite a few goals and played a lot less. Koss has cost us two penalties and Merts has made a couple of positional mistakes - they are all human but the stats from last season don't lie.

i have stopped believing in AW.

I believe in Arsenal. this is a bad weather period that will pass and a new management/board, manager & team will come soon.
And all will be well again!

SOS!!

we need saviour(s).
starting with the Board, AW and even the team.
1. the Board needs to understand that football has changed, investment isn't about profit alone, but also positive continuity.
Legacy should be allowed to die! we have been the force in the game, been the most attractive to watch, most entertaining to relax with. what is the way back to the legendary times.
2. AW needs to go!. all you "in Wenger we trust" should understand that AW is still living in the past. football is a moving faster than time machine. its not only about luck, the pitch, the referees. its about a manager knowing what to do, when to do and how to do it.
Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, Spurs and so many clubs have replaced their managers for lack of performance or achievement. yet we hang on to AW for over 8yrs. 8yrs of whats?
3. the team, is becoming lazier to me. how on earth would chamakh & co (thank GOD they've gone now) sit on the bench for season, collecting salary and no performance?
this has rubbed on the present team, and they are lazy. have they seen how RM trained? jeez. believe the whole team apart form few that (Ox, Kos etc) should be retained. even JW & Ramsey threats to our contemporaries. a player that cannot redefine is moves, skills, and better his lot is dead. to me Theo is fast becoming a dead wood.

to be cont'd

Its so sad this days, watching Arsenal plays. you hardly can predict a win over lower clubs.

this makes me wonder, "why the goose chase" on Suarez?
with 49M, we could have sorted out, a rocky DM, Accurate passing Midfielder player, prolific Attacker, and a GK.

all this while, we could gotten a 98% quality team prepared for the new season. now I ask myself what the hell was AW doing?
wasnt he thinking at all?
wasted a freaking transfer window chasing Suarez!
Jeez, respect to RVP, Cesc and others. they saw it coming.

one love to my fellow gunners, I believe we will see the light at the end of the tunnel.
one day, AW will go, Stan & his cohort will leave. but the Fans remains.

ajz

1.) I honestly believe the main man to blame here is Gazidis, he sorts the transfers etc. Wenger partly to blame imo.

2.) 19 Aug 2013 13:55:48
Really?! Are you guys for real?

I really like Arsenal and feel that they are a model for how a club should be run. Clubs like Spurs and Liverpool are a huge way behind you on the development curve needing to build a spanking stadium and bank tens of millions of pounds in order to match you.

Wenger has developed a great ethos and built the club into what they are. To have such a powerful club that expects success every year is a privilege and you are in a golden age, the likes of which you will not be able to easily replicate and you have not experienced before. Yes Arsenal have won trophies in the past but the Premier League era is unique in creating clubs that always will finish amongst the top 6, thanks to Wenger you are one of them.

I support Villa and that did not happen to us. We played well and beat you, please be more graceful.
The fans reaction at the game was negative and expectation stinks, hardly inspires the players.

You will spend some cash, but the pressure you are exerting for instant gratification will lead you into wasting that cash in order to relieve some pressure. Even if you have a 'bad' season and finish 6th! (god forbid) these things happen and you are in a great position to bounce back, get behind your manager and the players you have. all is FAR from lost.

So we lost the match against Southampton because Wenger refused to play some players.
Podolski, Sanogo, Campbell.

whats wrong the AW?

Coq's perfomance is poor.

how do u Coq, Chambers, Mertz, Kos, Gibbs & Debuchy, yet u stlll have a poor defence?

Coq's job in my opinion was to break southampton's play!!

Very bad team selection, Shezza bad. AW out

I totally disagree with your post.

some of these palyers are better than the frequently used players.

The problem with the team is Wenger and his selection criteria.

Joe Cambell, Podolski, Rosicky are better players. not being utilised or know when not to play the likes of Giroud (who lacks power in his shots) is AW stubborness

The truth, is AW is full of s**t.

he had better options earlier, yet he closed his eyes. why won't Newcastle rubbish us?

AW's going to buy scrap again.
