Makes you wonder why they bother doing it?
Very top players earn by the they are in their mid 20s more money than they could ever need to live an extremely comfortable life for the next 100 years, yet they fight for a career that lasts into thier mid 30s if at all possible.
I don't begrudge them the money they get because it is supply and demand and everyone is only worth what someone somewhere is prepared to pay them, but I don't feel sympathy for them either as very very few walk away from the game due to it being unbearable, the other undervalued over worked professions you mention in your article lose fantastic people every day simply because of terrible conditions.
I don't understand your article really, sorry.

The piece we sometimes forget is the scrutiny they go through while they do their job. Would you like to be on TV doing your job eg a plumber while haveping people heckle you, others making your job harder by hiding your tools ( divers ) as well as experts pointing out that you padded the job out, you did it poorly or you lacked commitment. A plumber is paid a market rate as is a footballer.
Footballers are treated like meat. That’s why the bosman case came about. Players were traded like cattle and disposed of by clubs like garbage. While fans give players stick for joining an opponent for more money and expect clubs to ditch players if under performing but for players to go on loan or move to another club without a thought.
Yes they earn a lot of money and are spoilt but I am sure it’s not all roses.

No proper Christmas with your misus and kids, a month away ( International tournament) with lots and lots of down time with very little to do, you go can't go for a drink or night out with the other lads your working away with.
So many rules for 11 months of the year about what you can eat drink where you can go and when even how much you weigh isn't your own chioce.

No it isn't a perfect life at all but still very few if any give it up willingly and very many try to prolong it beyond their capabilities because they don't want to retire from the job.
Makes you wonder doesn't it :-)

I'm a becks man myself SY mate but San Miguel is a top substitute of the Olly Giroud calibre when becks is injured.
So we have Arsenal football club and beer in common, there is hope for us yet mate :-)

{Ed025's Note - im a moretti man myself G62..

You lads need to drink Guinness, a proper drink, not dishwater. It puts hairs on your chest. My missus must drink gallons, by the look of her feet.

After reading post below about Lafont I thought i'd have a little look. I must say very impressive reflexes but looks as green as grass. Look at some of the YouTube clips he has this horrible habit of getting far to much on his saves and slapping them back into the danger area. I know YouTube is nothing to go by but YouTube usually makes average look good but in this case it makes him look very green.

29 Mar 2018 20:03:32
For me that has always been Ospina's biggest weaknesses, he so often makes a good reflex save but always seems to push it right back in the danger area either forcing a great double save from himself or a goal that should never have happened.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yes though it could probably apply to the Mulumbu one as well I guess. I like to try and make the pic something for people to figure out. Even if there is not much in the way of news at the moment at least it can be something interesting!}

29 Mar 2018 08:27:28
I never realised the pictures significance before!
Sometimes the level of my stupidity seems to have no limits :-)

Fair comment Sanogo mate :-)
It's a bit like your home town or your family, you might be well aware of the place your froms faults and how run down it is, you yourself and the people you grew up with might often talk about it between yourselfs but when someone from elsewhere starts slagging off your home, na you can't have that mate :-)
Fight like cat and dog between yourselfs but when an outsider attacks! You have to close ranks to see them off

Then when they've been safely dismissed and you've had a couple of bonding pints together

it's back to fighting kicking and punching between yourselfs again :-)

62 the bus is in second place 20 odd miles ahead of the the old hiace van. Get the driver of the hiace van out. Oh wait the driver will decide when he goes😁😁😁😁.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Mar 2018 17:59:43
True 12 our bus driver is taking us backwards and unfortunately he actually thinks we're actually going in the right direction.
Of course you don't need a driver for your bus do you, you have a brake man :-)
