Is there any chance of signing remy in jan or not? Can qpr sell him to us as he's on loan at newcastle?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I may be wrong but I would assume it depends how long the loan deal is. The loan could be just until the next transfer window (jan) or a season long loan. Also, it depends if there is a "recall" clause, where the "parent" club (QPR) can recall the player at any time, or at one months notice.
In theory, he could stay on loan to newcastle until january, recalled back to qpr who could than sell him to us. but, like I said, I may be wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have just found out he is on a season long loan so probably not

Agree0 Disagree0

What if there is no recall, the loan is definitely for 1 year, but I thought maybe if a club makes a bid for a player that is on loan to another club, the club may be able to recall the striker to let him leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not 100% but I think first we would have to agree a deal with qpr.
And then agree a compensation fee with Newcastle.

hi lpool fan in peace, see we kept it warm for u for the nite, must say was hoping the baggies would of nicked it today lol, anyway can I say how nice it is to c the two of us at the top I hope it continues for the season maybe me being optimistic but u never know, looks a lot nicer with us up there imo 2 teams who have a real history its like a flashback to late 80s early 90s, anyway i'm off now to get my white gloves, glow sticks and pop down to my local warehouse, good luck to u us and anyone playing the mancs, the rent boys or the spuds

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Nice post alba77. nice to see liverpool doing well but would have liked it more if you sold us suarez lol

I know everyone wanted (and expected) 3 points from today but when you play away to an in form team you have to take anything but a loss. Not many teams go to Old Trafford and take 3 points from the Mancs so I expected a tough game from WBA today.
I thought not only did WBA play well today but we didn't have a great performance, for the first time in a long while we were really exposed by our long injury list. Jack and Rambo don't belong on the wings, Giroud got hardly any service and WBA did very well at keeping Ozil quiet.
I'm very happy to be top of the league going into the international break but I hope Poldi, Walcott and Santi get fit soon because November and December are packed full of tough fixtures for us and we're going to need a fully fit team. If we get through those 2 months without dropping too many points then I genuinely feel that we can go all the way.
P.S let's all laugh at the spuds!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Gunner Girl

Anyone expecting 3 points from yesterday are a tad naïve, there are NO givens in the league, look what happened at the Lane yesterday :).

Its a point gained rather than 2 lost

guys, I owe everybody a huge apology.
yesterday I posted " did you know we have scored 1st in every game this season".
oh me and my big mouth, sorry chaps, please forgive me (holds head in shame)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

When they scored first, the first thing that came to my mind was your post

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol sorry being human

Agree0 Disagree0

DG you were not the only one mate, twice this season I haven't predicted the score and the two games were? I may be rubbish at predicting scores but strangely it seems they do have a use after all. Maybe that's the deal, I embarrass my self and the pay off is we win. Must be a ying and yang thing, well stand by for me to be wrong again pre Norwich game

Agree0 Disagree0

G62, do not, I repeat do not, predict the norwich match (smiles)

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair play DG, but! Anything less than a 3 1 win and I can't promise to hold back.

Oooops

Agree0 Disagree0

G62, i'm going to gladly hold you to that prediction mate

did anybody see Loic Remys first goal yesterday? (cardiff vs newcastle).
watch it if you can. is it just me or does he not look exactly like thierry? they even have the same number

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He did look very good mate and must admit I did think how much better he would look in one of our shirts at times

Agree0 Disagree0

G62, yeh I think he would do well at our place

Agree0 Disagree0

not the best performance but let's give credit to WBA. very attack minded team and in form. That said, I thought we were poor today, especially 1st half. but, top of table going into international break so can't be too bad. happy {Ed039's Note - A draw against a team that went to Old Trafford last week and won on the whole is a good result)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed039, very true and to be fair it could have been worse

Agree0 Disagree0

Its all good DG, yeah we want to beat everyone in every game that's only natural mate and we all want our team to play at their brilliant best too. But all in all i'm well chuffed to get four points from visits to Swansea and West brom with a home win against Napoli sandwiched in between.

We've had worse weeks Roders lovely jubley

Agree0 Disagree0

Very true G62, the big games come thick and fast after the international break. if we are top or near the top come mid dec I will be very happy

Agree0 Disagree0

Draws away from home are not bad results, a win would of been great but a draw against an inform west brom is a decent result.

Gotta remember we have norwich at home next so a massive chance for 3 points and keep our run going.

Much as I like the lad and think he's potentially great - I can see why Jenks is backup to Sagna. He gets hopelessly out of position at times and seems to think he should always cross to the far corner flag. If he concentrates more on delivery he can really provide as he has the speed to get to the line.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Exiled I totally agree, although to be fair sagna is not the greatest crosser of a ball either. I would agree that he is slightly better than jenks but I don't think there is a lot in it

Agree0 Disagree0

You got it Dagenham. as it happens I think a really big weakness is the delivery from all the full backs. Gibbs hits about one in 10 into a useful area, yesterday he missed a simple pass to put Giroud in two yards out. instead he decided to take out a fan in row W.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are correct exiled. not too sure how old you are but bring back kenny sansom and sammy nelson lol

OK we all hoped for 3pts but a point is still a good result today.
We can't be brilliant in every game and let's face it the games have come thick and fast with CL Qualification and all, plus without making excuses we have an horrendous injury list that we have coped with extremely well with.

We are back to the top and I am a happy chappy going into the international break.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree G62

Just because a player becomes available after injury shouldn't mean they should automatically go straight back in. I'm talking about Arteta. Flamini holding, Ramsey is our in form box to box player and Gnabry on the right for a bit of pace should have started.
Oh Jackie, first half passed him by spending more time on the floor moaning. Or maybe someone should have told him you can't smoke that kind of grass. Believe me I've tried.
When you play Flamini, Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey and Özil all in midfield you have no real pace so can't stretch them. Fair play to Jack for showing up for the second half though.
A draw at West brom is far from a disaster and is far easier to take when the spurs get dome 3-0.

Question for you. It's a simple one.
I know it depends on the opposition, but what would be your midfield right now?
Is it sacrosanct to drop Jackie? I'm only asking.

P.S
Spuds lost 3-0 :-)
Flybo

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hi flybo, totally agree. I posted on here a few days ago that jack should be rested and sit on the bench for a bit and come on as an impact player.
he's a bit off form at the moment and, like any player, should be rested for a while. that siad, good 2nd half today from jack

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree, to take the premier leagues inform centre mid and put him on the wing was an odd move to me.

Vermaelen lost his place and is waiting to get it back, Arteta should have been the same and Jack equally has to earn his place and rotation for our midfield is the key.

We lost shape and Ramsey's drive in midfield. Love Jack but he was awful 1st half and they got so much from him it was almost unbelievable.

He will get back to his best and is a massive part of our future but let him rotate to get there.

All said and done, we remain top, Spurs got smashed and United are still pants.

Agree0 Disagree0

No its not wrong to suggest Jack might get left out, Dagenham gunner brought this up during the week and didn't see one person get out of their pram about it, we all want what's best for Arsenal and Jack will be soon but not at the moment. My MF

Walcott Ramsey Flamini Ozil Carzola for the best balance and when fitt of course

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with THE GUNNER and GUNNER62. and why the bloody hell is everybody called gunner? (smiles)

Agree0 Disagree0

Gunner62,
That would be my midfield. With rosicky ahead of Wilshere on the bench on current form.
Flybo

Agree0 Disagree0

G62, I would go for that midfield too because with the exception of flamini and ramsey the other 3 can chop and change and confuse the hell out of the opposition

Agree0 Disagree0

THE GUNNER

How is Jack Wilshire the PL's inform centre midfielder?? Have you been watching another league?

He has been very out of sorts this season

A point is all we deserved, we could have lost by three goals but we grinded out this result. I feel like we won, and a juicy result from %hite hart lane to cap it all.

a good day! spurs get smashed, a draw away at an in form west brom, top of the league.

Hardly a vintage performance but we were up against a team in decent form. A draw isn't a bad result really.
We are top of the league going in to the international break, that's important.

I think we are badly missing a genuine wide presence, Jenkinson is running the right side on his own and its causing us problems.
How long til Walcott or chamberlain return?

Also, Spurs lost (lol)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree I think Wenger has diliema in trying to force all these good central based players into the side hence playing Wilshere out wide to accomodate Ozil. We defo lack in behind penatration and pace when walcott is not in the side. Although we have a lot of technical quality in midfeild as a whole the team lacks that threat and pace in behind. I am not moaning too much as at darw away to WBA is not to bad they are in good form, but we need a bit more varity.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Oct 2013 18:00:47
Terrible performance by the attacking players today. I think our defenders battled hard and got tired by the end of the game.

Our attacking players didn't supply Giroud enough and even when they did he didn't test the keeper enough.

We need to find a way to become more penetrative against teams that play so deep and organized.

and I have to say ramsey and wilshere outwide I don't know when wenger will learn. WE NEED A QUALITY WINGER! someone with speed, a good dribble, and good at crossing

wanna be champions? you got to beat west brom away.

so freaking pissed right now

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Scooby I hope by pissed you mean drunk, if so fair play, the things I have said and done when had a drink!

But if you mean angry i'm not with you mate, think you being harsh and unrealistic

Agree0 Disagree0

Again, have to agree with G62, . with the injuries we had I sometimes think you have to try different things, especially with the amount of injuries we have with our midfield.
yes, it was weird seeing jack and aaron out wide but if we had won today everybody would be saying what a stroke of genius by wenger.
it wasnt a great weekend for us, what with the mancs and loserpool winning, not to mention chelsea but at least the spurs lost and we are still top of the table. every cloud etc etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Scooby Dooby

Your name is as silly as your post, don't tell me you expected to win 3 or 4 nil?

W Brom are no mugs it was a good point.

Have to ask. are you really an Arsenal fan

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said banbury

06 Oct 2013 17:58:25
Well 1-1 more urgency in 2nd half but still did not really create enough clear chances to win it. WBA good value for the draw really a fair result overall. Maybe missing that pace element with Walcott.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Oct 2013 17:29:07
sigh:(
see how their running at us is throwing us into confusion, backing off:(
ahhhhhh
anyway well done Jackie:) nice goal.
maybe WBA are the new stoke?:) rough and tough

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Oct 2013 12:13:02
West brom today, what do you Rekon gunners?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Its going to be a hard match but we should win. 3 - 2 to the gunners.

Can anyone explain how the 'Forehead' is playing so well for Roma

Agree0 Disagree0

If we play like we did on Tuesday then today will be a good day.
Flybo

Agree0 Disagree0

Gervinho is a good player, it's a shame he didn't work out for us, maybe just wasnt suited to the EPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

His coach for Roma is the same one as it was for Lille so probably just knows how to get the best out of him.

Hey Flybo, looking for a good win today we need it with the others doing the biz yesterday, won't be easy though
