Ozil is taking a while I pray its a double announcement Ozil and a striker or defender. Preferably all 3 but that's just greedy
1.) As gooners we've a right to be greedy mate! 8 years is a long time! Haha

3.) It will be only ozil. he has been de-registered with La liga, and clubs deciding who will announce first.

Any updates on Di Maria ed? Would love it to happen, in my opinion would be better than Mata, he is a proper winger and Ozil plays the same position but arguably better. {Ed027's Note - Ozil killed that deal off
1.) Ozil or di maria don't care both quality and more news eds bout anymore signings
2.) Ed, what happens even after passing medical oezil couldn't sign?

After watching the Dortmund game last night was amazed at the levels of effort put into the last minutes of the game by the players. That level of commitment is exactly what I want to see from Arsenal players even if we don't end up winning games from that position I would be happy with the determination to change a result. Gundongan, Lewandowski, Reus and Goetze are all class. It would be a dream to have any of them at our club they are real quality. What a manager Jurgen Klopp is he looks like a mad scientist on the touch line but you can tell how much it means to him and that kind of manager transfers that level of passion onto his players.
Malaga are saying it was racism that caused them to loose but I don't think they can complain they had one offside goal to and in a way it was fair for both goals to count in the end.
Been reading the pages recently and there has been a lot of negativity surrounding Giroud which I for one don't understand I have supported him when he hasn't been good but I still believe he will turn into a quality squad player who has shown he can score and set other players up. He isn't the finished article we need up front but he is still a good addition to the squad. I feel he gets a unfair amount of stick for his first season in the league.
If I could pick players to come in out of our realistic options. I would choose Begovic or Ruffier. Wanyama or Capoue. A good right back to go with Jenkinson who I rate. A centre back to replace Djourou and Squillaci ( Not Sure Who). A striker in the form of Lewandowski (Dreaming) (again not sure who) and some kind of winger/creative force to go with what we have. Obviously this is asking a lot but I think if people were found in those positions we would have a side that could push for trophies again and wouldn't undermine the work we have done with our youngsters.
1.) Agreed. I'd rather have less players come if the ones that do come in are genuine class players who are significantly better than we already have. Our squad is actually quite large but we don't have enough really top players (Jack and Cazorla are perhaps the only two).
2.) To include Jack Wilshere in the same sentence is an insult to Cazorla.

When you compare are first team and Man Utd's I don't think there is much between them.
De Gea is better than Sczeshny.
Rafael is better than Sagna.
Koscielny is better than Ferdinand.
Vidic is better than Mertesacker.
Gibbs and Evra is close. Could be argued either way. For me Gibbs.
Are Midfield is much better than theirs.
Wilshere, Ramsey, Ozil, Carzola, Flamini.
Carrick, Fellaini, Kagawa, Cleverly.
Up front they are much better than us. But at the moment are wingers are better.
I am biased but I prefer are team. Bar some of there strike force
1.) Sagna wins it for me easy
2.) OUR ffs. OUR. Anyway, Sagna is better than Rafael, and Per is class. Sure he's a bit slow, but his defensive sense is unmatched by anyone Man United has to offer.
3.) Sagna wins for me
Chesney = de Gea for me too.
Problem with this is this was all true last season (we had a better midfield even without Ozil) yet they still had 20 more points (or whatever it was) than us. Hopefully they will have lost the x-factor that Fergie brought them (and maybe RVP's legs will snap too)

Thank god, I was starting to get worried, is there any surprises after Ozil? I won't be devastated if we don't but I till think we need a backup striker or a center back. If Giroud got injured Sanogo can't be playing not ready yet. If not I will still be a happy man. Serious peace of business and indicate's a change in policy.

I have had a look through and can't find any Malaga posts about Ozil, which is incredible due to the amount he guessed. Maybe he did actually Jinx any player he mentioned

If we get Mesut Ozil I would have to hand it to Wenger, that would be pure class. As someone who has been left devastated by this transfer window and how bad it has been run. I would forgive most of it and wait all over again. He really is a World Class player. Compared to Lamela for 30m, its good. Half of Bale's price and he is more than half the player.
I wouldn't be that annoyed if we didn't sign any more. Although I really think we need another decent striker, a different option someone with a bit of pace who can dribble past players. But I do think Giroud deserve's to be number one.
Flamini is a decent signing. Not who I wanted, but he did add something different to us strengthened us and gave a good performance straight away. Showed leadership couldn't have asked for more.
A winger is less important as I think Cazorla will play there more.
Any more over Ozil and a backup striker. Is just a positive. Back up keeper I don't think is that necessary. Fabianski is a decent second. If we wanted a keeper should have bought a quality one. I've never seen this guy play so I'll hold judgement till then.
1.) I still think we need another CB or maybe a DM that can cover for the CB position. We only have 3 distinct CB's and with TV still getting back to fitness we are short. Yes Sagna can cover CB but I rather keep him at RB.
If we could find a clone for Kos.
I would be more than happy.
2.) Yeah I do agree I think we missed out on Sakho and Alderweid they both would have been good and relatively cheap. A defensive midfielder is only a priority now because of Arteta's injury if we can bring in a quality one like Bender fine if not I'd rather wait till January or next year and buy a really good one.

Good win. Tottenham didn't look that great. We looked solid. Thought Flamini did well when he came on, which is reassuring. Now Wenger support the players add some depth and quality and this team will do well. Despite that win if we don't sign anyone I still think we will struggle with numbers and injuries. Last 24 hours or so wrap up some deals would be a perfect start to the week. What a finish from Giroud. Thought the pundits were harsh on Ramsey thought he was great today again. Wenger looked pretty confident about signings in his interview, prove me wrong, show us you've still got it. If he signs no-one after the effort his team have put in and a team who have called for signings, I will be dissapointed we've done well to get back on our feet after the Villa game, let's give the fans something to shout about bring in some players.
Great match and result though.

Yeah that would be great. I think we're only going to sign Ozil now. Which I will be happy with I still thinking were crying out for a striker and a defensive player. I won't complain if we don't sign anyone else though.
I agree him and Fabregas are on par in terms of quality. It's hard to choose who is better. A Ozil who is committed will be better than Fabregas when it was clear he wanted out.
Today I'm on your side Wengerism. We can both agree on something, this will be a great bit of business, and all thanks to Tottenham. The day after we beat them.

You could say one game won against our bitter rivals which is great. But we still need to see some additions so we can move forward. One game is not the same as the whole season and does not justify anything.
