1.) 11 Jul 2015 23:05:15
Yeah welcome Gibson mate just one question, are you from the future? Its just a lot of posters use their year of birth in their username and your has me intrigued :-).

2.) 11 Jul 2015 23:47:19
I think Gibbo is a cyborg G62 :-)

3.) 12 Jul 2015 09:06:53
He's 103 years old 3/10/1912.

4.) 12 Jul 2015 09:41:32
102 sorry

5.) 12 Jul 2015 11:50:33
I prefer the 2997 years young theory Brow mate for so many reasons, the fact that both the planet and football survive well into the future against the odds I find very encouraging and comforting :-)

just a thought everyone glad to see arsen is getting some good vibes from most of our supporters when his time has past history will show how he has made our club world class from being a good but very boring team to watch re 1nil to the arsenal you may not agree with me but I watched to many of those games our football now a joy goodnight people

Gibson31012

{Ed025's Note - night gibbo..

1.) 04 Aug 2015 23:24:01
Wenger has taken huge amounts of stick over the years. He had his hands tied behind his back, due to stadium move and financial restrictions placed on him but, although no silverware, he still managed to achieve top 4 and the financial reward of CL football.

I still maintain, no manager could have done what he did, even Fergie.

During those difficult years, he was touted by all the big clubs, including RM and PSG, but he stayed true to his own values and moral standing, and committed himself to Arsenal Football Club.

The man deserves the utmost respect.

2.) 04 Aug 2015 23:44:36
Agreed - he may love Arsenal more than us!

Love the guy and what he's done for the club plus his openness for change of late

Now go sign a striker, cdm and and exciting winger!

3.) 04 Aug 2015 23:59:34
He is a very clever and underrated manager by far our best 1 and I dread the day he leaves I'm 30 now and he as been there most of my life so I spose I wouldn't be use to arsenal under any 1 else

4.) 05 Aug 2015 02:15:15
Wengers hands weren't tied he did everything by choice. I do catch your drift though dags. He's a great man. But fergie did everything he single handedly made United huge.

5.) 05 Aug 2015 06:31:50
Awesome Arsene Wenger...
I can't recall the last time we entered a new season feeling so positive.
Hopefully we will make the one or two signings Wenger mentioned he is looking to do and then we will have a formidable squad.
Assuming the fans stay with him, I could envisage Wenger remaining at the helm into his mid-70's. Amazing manager who has elevated the club to a position just behind the very top European clubs and we may only be a couple of seasons short of joining the likes of Barca, Real, Juventus & Bayern.

6.) 05 Aug 2015 08:24:14
The pluses outweigh the negatives by a,million miles The beautiful football, the trophies, the stadium and of course the invincibles.
We owe Arsene big style, if only he hadn't been so stubborn for so long on a few things he may well be the undisputed best managed this country has ever seen rather than undisputedly our greatest manager ever

7.) 05 Aug 2015 08:31:48
It never ceases to amaze me that Arsenal fans still have no perception of what Wenger achieved under the circumstances that he did it.

We can only imagine had he been able to add to the invincibles, instead of having them taken away, what he would have truly achieved between then and now.

A certain Mr Ferguson certainly wouldn't have had such a glowing CV.

8.) 05 Aug 2015 09:50:26
Fergie did do it without the money, before United. He took Aberdeen to European Glory. Wenger is without a doubt one of the best Managers in English football history but he will forever have that missing trophy on his record.

{Ed001's Note - actually Aberdeen benefited from North Sea money in Fergie's time. They were comparatively big spenders.}

9.) 05 Aug 2015 10:55:28
Comparative with who Ed? Their European competitors? I think not.

{Ed001's Note - I would suggest not thinking then, as they did spend a comparatively large amount in any terms. They were spending as much as their competitors. That is not to say he did a bad job, he did a great job, but he was not hampered by money.}

10.) 05 Aug 2015 11:15:59
Over the same period (from 78-83) as Munich who they beat in the final they spent around 1/5 of the amount Munich had spent. That's not comparatively large at all. I'll happily list the players and prices where possible if you like?

{Ed001's Note - if you say so, but you are forgetting the difference in wages required and signing fees to attract players to Aberdeen. This is why we don't talk finances as fans only ever see a tiny portion of reality. Can you list wages, payouts given to departing players, signing fees, bonuses, staff wages, spending on infrastructure etc to show how little Aberdeen spent? }

11.) 05 Aug 2015 11:37:15
Obviously not but pulling on the same thread you can't do the same to show how much they spent. It's a bit of a pointless debate really. I was merely pointing out you can't use Fergie's spending as an excuse for his success, he is clearly ahead of Wenger as a manager and not solely down to money.

sorry lads balotelli in the dressing room means unrest would not have him if he paid us bad apple and all that

Gibson31012

{Ed025's Note - your right there gibbo..

1.) 04 Aug 2015 21:50:26
Pay attention G62 :-)

2.) 04 Aug 2015 22:42:30
Mad Mario or the Ego has landed Ibrohimovic, neither exactly humble or shy and reserved. Ibrohimovic 33 and comes at £30000000000 per milisecond and would certainly consider us and our players extremely lucky to be in the same country at the same time as him, Balotelli 24 been extremly stupid and made many many mistakes but could he yet become the star he could and should have been already by now?
Dags come on mate you have to admit it's starting to make sense now, isn't it? :-)

3.) 05 Aug 2015 00:00:44
We won't get ballo

4.) 04 Aug 2015 23:30:54
Ed,

Can you give G62 a red please? :-)

{Ed001's Note - is that red for Arsenal because you agree with him?}

5.) 05 Aug 2015 07:43:56
Hell no Ed001,

I bet you agree with him though so you can see the back of Ballo :-)

6.) 05 Aug 2015 08:36:16
Dags I detect a little warming in your opinion on mad Mario, welcome on board the campaign mate. Now if we just make Steve HAPPY with the idea Arsene should be a push over :-)

7.) 05 Aug 2015 08:38:22
Balotelli has been pie'd off more times than a circus clown and is about to be again, it's like the manager has told him all week what he wants him to do but then he just runs onto the pitch and does anything but that.

The guy is a proper bowel nugget who should never have the privilege to wear the shirt of any top club ever again.

8.) 05 Aug 2015 08:57:29
I will put you down as maybe then Stoner :-)

9.) 05 Aug 2015 09:20:14
Ha ha, ok g62, he is a shocker though, it's going to be a brave owner that even considers letting his manager buy him.

He must have the worst attitude in football.

10.) 05 Aug 2015 09:27:29
Go for little pea instead

11.) 05 Aug 2015 13:22:53
Got to say G62, i have seen more successful campaigns than this.Lets be honest, I think you could start a campaign for Vladimir Putin to be voted the worlds funniest man, and it would get more support than your balotelli to Arsenal campaign!!!

12.) 05 Aug 2015 19:01:39
Epping mate Dags was like you once he just couldn't get his Balotelli bones going but now he's fully onboard the Mario to Arsenal express, I've won Dags over 100% and feel its only fair to warn you Epping mate your very very high on my target list of future mad Mario campaigners :-)
