Silvio Berlusconi has revealed at a meeting in Rome that he is close to selling Mario Balotelli to a top English club. Arsenal have been heavily linked with the Italy international striker. Reported on SS. Think he would be great, let's hope its Arsenal and not another team strengthening whilst we don't.

‘I was selling Balotelli to an English team for several millions, but, after this World Cup, who will buy him now?"

2.) He actually said that he had agreed a deal to sell Balotelli to an English club before the World Cup but after his disasterous campaign he says he will now struggle to sell him.

Just read Vela is on his way back to us, I personally think this is good business. I know some people are looking for Remy to join or think he would be a good acquisition but Vela makes more sense to me.

Not the huge impact player I had hoped for, well morale boosting impact player I mean. But not bad business 3 odd million for someone who has 30+ goals and assist last season.

Long time away from posting but have to say the page has a great bunch of posters on here now and the banter is great. Good work guys.

How come all of a sudden everyone is talking about selling players. Our squad depth was not good enough last season we have signed one player! I am a bit confused, can someone explain to me why we should be looking at selling now. Our midfield and attack was down to bare bones after xmas and we struggled massively. We have signed a player to help with that. Sell Poldoski why?

He may want to leave and that would be fair as he may get less game time. Same for Carzola. But ship them out I don't think that's the best idea by a long shot.

And Jenks, why is he being mentioned by some as a player that should be sold? We do not have another right back? Even if we sign one we still need him and from what I have seen he is a promising passionate young guy.

Anyway enough of my ranting. I am still smiling whilst ranting though due to one Alexis Sanchez :)

1.) I don't understand the Jenkinson thing. I'm hardly his biggest fan but when we'Dr still to buy a gk, a Cb, a cm and a st I don't see why we would want to go looking for another right back.
As for Podolski I get it. He blows hot and cold, doesn't really create much and with Walcott, Gnabry, Chamberlain and now Campbell and Sanchez we have the wings well and truly covered.
Don't want to see Cazorla go under any circumstances. Top top player, invaluable to the squad imho.

2.) If can sign an under 21 right back that won't count towards our 25 man squad and Jenkinson can go out on loan and get first team experience.

3.) There's a PL club ideally suited for Jenks to get that experience and their called Arsenal.
We will need two RB and Jenks is band should be one of them imo

4.) I have mixed feelings on this one too. I think Jenks has shown enough to be our right back of the future. Regular rotation, not just carling cup games, would be good. We complain about burnout of regulars and lack of rotation all the time.

He was good when he got regular play so a loan for a year could be good also. But not sure I want to see him go down the loan and then exit road. How many loaned players have come back to be first team regulars: Jack?. Song?.

So spurs have again strengthened their Squad and another player Arsenal have had many rumours attached too.

So we narrowly finished above them last year what will happen this year?

Even if they lose Bale they still have a stronger squad than before and at this point in time we are weaker in depth than last year and all of our targets seem to be ending up elsewhere or not available.

Very nervous Gooner, this really was our best chance to get in the mix of things again. With the new managers at the other big 3.

Not a Wenger hater, love what he has done over the years but think he is playing a very risky hand at the moment.

Fingers crossed.

1.) With or without bale. we will be better than them. we are ARSENAL.

you may think its talk, but I honestly believe we can do better with consistency, while they have to integrate 4-5 players, while selling 4-5 players.

upper hand - US

Becoming increasingly fed up with all the bashing of the manager and the Team. If no one thinks they are good enough and keeps booing them then of course we will be on a downward spiral.
As fans we are the extra player and we should support the team and manager regardless, apart from last summer when has Wenger ever done business in transfer markets early?
Last year he made 4 good signings and i'm happy to see us not paying over the odds for players that perform no better than anyone in our current squad.

Regardless of signings I will still watch every game as a fan and not like I have some rite or say in what Arsenal FC do or how they run their business.
You don't go into a car showroom buy a car and then over the years buy some of their merchandise and expect to have a say in how they run their business.

1.) Very well said my friend. Please expect some abuse for your wise words. Some people just don't get it.

2.) I note your comments, but understand fellow fans frustrations, although I would never ever boo my team. The frustration is born out of the fact that the squad is extremely weak numerically to compete in the four competitions.
As for your car example, one can vote with their feet and change car manufacturer. If enough customers do the same, the manufacturer would have to change. Indeed, car manufacturers carry out marketing surveys to ascertain what their customers want. Football is different, as fans are loyal.

3.) Ok I will make it simple, we struggled into 4th last year, we have shifted 20players out we are now weaker compared to the end of last season, the players are crying out fir New faces, no one coming in. and you still think the manager is right?

4.) I agree booing the team increases negativety but bashing the manager is fine he deserves it at the moment.

5.) Y21 - struggled to 4th are you kidding - what was our record the second half of the season. We struggled to get started because we lost players, but we finished strong like a bull - hardly struggling!

Sanogo made all the difference in the final, I doubt we would have won if he had kept Poldi on. He had a very poor game.

This is why wenger sold gervinho if you remember he lacked confidence especially at the emirates.

I'd agree with that, been feeling like the press is trying to help sti things up. How many players have been linked to different clubs and not ende up with that team.
