Eds,

Can you update us on Dybala? Ed02 had mentioned he was our main striking target, and Zamperini says a decision is imminent.

Also, any interest in Benteke, if Dybala doesn't happen? I rate him highly.

Thanks!

BR Gooner

{Ed002's Note - Palermo are struggling to have Dybala sign a new contract but have made it clear that they will sell for €50M but will accept a single payment of €40M - a fee which will put off most clubs. His agent has been acting in an unprofessional manner and offering him to various clubs. Chelsea, Napoli, Juventus, Inter, Dortmund and Arsenal have a declared interest. Juventus are looking for talks with the player and his representative and have put an offer on the table that includes players and a little cash. Arsenal have made a cash offer but it is short of what Palermo are looking for. Chelsea have also made an offer that is not acceptable to his club. There is also interest in him from Spain, Atletico Madrid - and if Barcelona can raise the funds in the summer to start their rebuilding programme, then he will wait for January as both club and player would like a deal - but it won't suit Palermo. Palermo have made it clear to Arsenal, Chelsea and Juventus what they want for the player.

Arsenal has shown no interest in Benteke.

look i'm not giroud's biggest fan, but surely getting a similar player to giroud in benteke, is not really the solution.

dont get me wrong i rate benteke, but at a level where pressure is always around the corner, and performance is more about will power and determination, which players like ramsey, giroud, kos, ox, and even ozil lately have had to rely on to win favour of the fans.

while benteke for me is a supremely talented individual, but where was he for the season before the last 10 games. did he need time sherwood to give him a hug before he cleared up his emotions and wanted to play?

alot of people are saying due to build up play lambert instilled it took awhile for benteke to get the ball and when he did he was out of options as villa lacked the creative edge. Perhaps all that is true.

but from what i read, he apparently does not like training, one of his ex team mates stated he is probably the worst player in training but the best on game night. and that sherwood is likely giving him leverage in not training as hard as the others as long as he can score and keep them up on gamenight.

Any interest in Thauvin? Seemed like a great prospect for the left wing.

{Ed022's Note - Another 20 year old French player from Ligue 1. Well, On 29th January 2013, Thauvin signed a four and a half year deal with Lille, yes they did send him out on loan to Bastia for six months but he now has four years on his contract and experience in Ligue 1. Therefore, he will be playing first team football for Lille this season...}

1.) I am slightly nervous if this is the case. the last attacker we had from Lille proved to be a little rubbish lol . god bless Gervinho

{Ed022's Note - We won't sign Thauvin as he only just signed for Lille in January so don't panic...}

Ed,

If Bayern are signing Vidal, does that make Javi Martinez available or is he a Schweini replacement?

Would he be an option to Carvalho?

Thanks,

BR Gooner

{Ed001's Note - do you mean for Arsenal? As Carvalho won't happen at the price. Martinez is potentially available, if the right offer came in, they are using Alaba there and willing to part with him.}

Welbeck is not what we need. We need a clinical finisher.

Thanks for that and the Vitamix tip,

Ed002, in what strikers are Arsenal still interested? Seems like most of our otyer targets have moved on or we have lost interest.

BR Gooner

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of anything new - Arsenal has been one of the clubs approached about Welbeck but I don't know if there will be interest. Remy is available but I sort of suspect he will head to Spurs.}

I believe he has an Italian passport, if so he wouldn't need a permit.

BR Gooner

{Ed002's Note - That will help but it will need to be ratified to ensure it is not a passport of convenience.}

Ed002, any interest still on Konoplyanka from Dnipro?

BR Gooner

{Ed002's Note - Konoplyanka was subject to two significant offers this past summer - from Galatasaray and Zenit - both of which were been turned down. I expect to see Benfica and Arsenal make a bid in January, and possibly Fiorentina, Spurs, Manchester United, Schalke and Dortmund to look to the player.}

I think Firmino would be a great addition, he has been tearing it up for Brazil. But seems M City have an edge.

It will hopefully be different this time, as I will be attending my first Arsenal game.

Big win tomorrow! 3x0 JW, Rambo and Alexis.

No. Likely replacing Prandelli as the national team coach. Juve aren't that broke, they likely only sell one of those two.
