75M gets it done. Curious who you all think may have been a better alternative? I thought Danilo, but now he's off to Forest.

The going rate for gallon of fuel is £6 but your preferred filing station wants £7.50 possibly £8.00 for its fuel.

Do you

A panic and pay 7.50 to 8.00
B go elsewhere for fuel
C not bother filling up and gamble you've got enough fuel for the journey.

If it was your money what would you do?

{Ed001's Note - as I don't drive, I would just wave as I went past....}

Anyone else think we're going to sign someone totally out of the blue? I like how the club has been proving us wrong these days. It's always full reports on our bids and then we go ahead and pluck someone out of nowhere.

Be funny if Rice signed out of the blue.

{Ed014's Note - well we apparently want him as well as Caicedo so you just never know!

Fingers crossed for Partey today too, need that to be good news.

Seems like Brighton have definitely shut up shop on Caicedo and are thinking of keeping an unhappy player.

But 852 here`s another question! If you`re heading to the hospital and your wife is in advanced labour would you mess about finding another station, or take that risk you might not get there! I would suggest A) all day long. Depends on how big an urgency Arsenal feel filling midfield is, which we all seem to think is a necessity! Attack and Defence very good put all resources into midfield. So yes 769 A all day long VTH.

Valid rebuttal, Sus. But this entire analogy is lacking a 3rd dimension. Is there someone available besides this lad? Because, if it's a necessity, and Brighton aren't willing to sell, why are we still there?

Let's leave the car and call an ambulance.

Caicedo and Rice turn Arsenal into CL contenders for 2024. Arteta knows this. Probably could get away with Zubimendi but in this instance we should just pay up, make that investment and a massive statement to the rest of the footballing world that Arsenal are back baby.

Hi Ed001 mate, in your case we can swap car fuel for human fuel and petrol or diesel for veggie burger or salad box ?

Hi Pembroke mate, as Sharpie says why not go to a different filling station as when all said and done it could all turn out to be nothing but a simply case of Braxton Hicks after all.

Don't panic, don't panic,

Don't panic captain Monmouthshire sir!

{Ed001's Note - veggie burger or salad box? Wtf? Do I look like a rabbit?}

413 yep your wife is screaming her head off telling you you`ll never come near her again and her water`s broke all over the new golf cart and you want to pull into Watford Gap services 10 miles away for a top up and a meal deal? Pay the £8 a gallon and let`s move on to Rice in the Summer Loadsamoneeeeeeey! Sounding like a Chelsea fan now COYG.

Hi Rutland, calm down, there is no pregnancy, no waters to break and no emergency outside your imagination.

Try imagining you upset your missus 2 years ago and you've been sleeping on the couch ever since and the only time she ever speaks to you now days is to tell you how much you hurt her and how she will never forgive you.

Feeel better about things now? ????.

Haha 562 genuinely I`m really relaxed about the window. Probably need a body in but we go with what we`ve got i guess. Mal it is a hanging offence in our house too. Window might be fun if we buy Tielemans and Jorginho though haha can see it happening Ed! Still Ed always remember we are never going to be spuds whatever happens tomorrow COYG.

{Ed014's Note - you call that fun! ???

Me too Cumbria mate, how longs it been since we didn't have to use our imagination for things to be wonderful at Arsenal, we've been kidding ourselves for years we were just 2 players away from being the best team in the country, but here right now, in the real world with absolutely no imagination and no just 2 players required, we actually the best team in the country, well clear at the top of the table and playing wonderful football, fantastic work rate, and a mentality not seen since leaving Highbury, oh and I've never ever heard the Arsenal fans so vocal and passionate for 90 minutes whether we are ahead, behind or on level terns.

We've had worse times Rodders, lively jubley ???.

Always good to swing by for a chuckle, great analogy’s! I remember someone made a prediction about a year ago about a certain manager needing time to put his stamp on this club, and we all chuckled ? some even said “Arteta out”, “ Ramsdale and white were a waste of money”, Arteta didn’t know what he was doing loaning saliba out”, “ Eddie N’ketiah was rubbish” oh and most importantly that “ Odegaard should go back to Spain and stay there”. Nice to see those same names commenting daily still!
On a serious note though G69 glad to see you’re here and all the EDs still doing a great job, especially ed14
Keep positive guys as we might even do OK some day ??.
