Yeah, right and I'm actually the Duke of York.

Over-rated player and absolutely not what Arsenal need.or want.

More chance of us signing Daniel Radcliffe.

So you wouldn't take his goal tally for 15 million? Overrated is just looking through biased eyes, he was clearly quite underrated at Chelsea.

4.) 11 Jun 2014
Where exactly do you get £15M from?
It's a WC year so you need to add inflation for being an England international.

Yes he scored a few goals but other than that what does he contribute? He never tracks back or contributes to the defensive side of the game. Granted a strikers goal is to score goals but Liverpool tried to win the league by winning games 5-4, that's not the type of player we need.

Even if he was available at £15M you could buy better players who would be more effective.

5.) 11 Jun 2014

That's what we paid for him. He's clearly been more than worth that.

{Ed001's Note - why do people say he never tracks back? He has done a lot of that at Liverpool, often popping up in the full back positions where he has chased back to cover one of them being caught up field. It is just ignorance of the player to suggest he never contributes to the defensive side of the game, complete ignorance. His issue, and it can be a major issue at times, is his selfishness on the ball, his workrate is certainly not a problem. As for saying there are better players at £15m, utter crap. Name one, any one, that is a better striker that Arsenal could pick up for £15m?}

Who is the more effective player? If you wouldn't take Sturridge at 15m then I'm worried about you.

Have to agree with TJ and Ed001.

Admittedly, he doesn't work as hard as Suarez, no striker in the world does, in my opinion, but to say he is not worth £15m is ridiculous.

8.) 11 Jun 2014
15 mil for Sturridge? Liverpool wouldn't waste a second of their time thinking abou that, try 20 million as a start to negotiations and be prepared to go much higher if you want to sign him

This is a wind up right? To put in perspective let's look at his and ozils first season for each club in the BPL

Sturridge:
Games 16 goals 11 assist 4
Ozil
Games 26 goals 5 assist 9

So in a team that finished 7th and with 10 less games Sturridge (£12-15m) had more of an impact than a £42m player in a team that got 4th. Added that his what 21 goals and 7 assist this season?

He isn't lazy, as the ed said he regularly had to cover the full backs position, plays multiple positions, sets up goals, and scores against big teams (of the top of my head city, Chelsea, arsenal, united, and an equaliser against Everton in the derby).

He is a great player who is only 24 and not reached his peak, added that he is in the England XI and was the second highest scorer in the league he is worth at least double what he paid for him.

15 mill and 1 pound best offer

Oh dear are all the Scousers back.Ed01 you must be a Scouser to be so touchy?

I'd rather have Vela for 3.5M than Sturridge for 15M so there's your starter for ten. similar stats for the last season, similar age and experience. Plus he tracks back and isn't a complete person. City and Chelsea but punted him for having a bad attitude, it's only a matter of time before he gets found out again.

Ciro Immobile, Oscar Cardozo, Alvaro Morata, Loric Remy and Lukaku would all also be available for around 15M I reckon.

Next?

{Ed001's Note - seriously? You know nothing if you think he was punted from either club. He left City because he was out of contract, despite them offering him a new contract. He was sold from Chelsea because he wanted to leave to get a chance at first team football. As for Vela, he is nothing like as good a player, you are clearly just a bit, no a lot, clueless. Anyone stupid enough to pick Remy over Sturridge needs help. Bitter much? Because that is how you come across. You might want to try not dragging lies out of your backside in future regarding people you clearly have never even seen play. By the way, keep the childish jibes out of it, it just leads to you looking sillier. If you want to dig at who I support with petty little jibes, it is only going to show up even more how little knowledge you have to discuss this with and make you look sillier.}

14.) 12 Jun 2014
You are a Liverpool fan though! Liverpool wouldn't sell Sturridge and for me he value would probably be £22-25m.

Vela is not a better player and Lukaku could be better than Sturridge but right now is not and Immobile ditto. The other players would not replace Sturridge in the England line up. Just my view.

12 Jun 2014 13:27:49
His total strike rate for Liverpool is like 31 or 32 goals in 43 games.
That's 3/4, I thought the mark of a good striker was 1/2?

He has his faults, but even this season alone he scored 21 goals, and that's with maybe 30 starts?

To suggest he's not worth £15 million is incredulous.

16.) 12 Jun 2014
12 Jun 2014 13:31:32
Seriously? No Sturridge for £15 million and you cite bad attitude as one of yours reasons, yet you advocate Ballotelli for 'around £20 million' further down,
Madness, utter madness!

{Ed001's Note - if you can't have a civil convo, go elsewhere. Last warning. You are treading on thin ice with your childish insults. Make a point, if you can, instead of throwing out insults my daughter would have called immature.}
