It's a miracle, it appears everyone on here is in agreement about something:

Ozil should be played centrally.

I love Wenger. Not one tiny part of me wants him to leave Arsenal. I was born in 88, so it's pretty difficult for me to remember anyone managing Arsenal except him. But nobody is perfect. I just wish he'd come out and tell the fans why he's playing Ozil there. Maybe there's a good reason? I know that he can see it's not working particularly well, because anything people like us can see, I am certain he can see.

If he is going to play Ozil on the left then why didn't he bring Fabregas back?

I think we are. Do you really see Wenger changing formation or trying anything new?
When was the last game that we didn't play the same formation and the same way?
Predictable and vulnerable tactics that every opposing manager knows by now and will aim to exploit.

Like I posted the other day, what worries me about Wenger, is his sheer stubbornness, it wouldn't surprise me if he keeps playing Ozil on the left.

For me, against Dortmund, Podolski/Cazorla left, Sanchez right, Welbeck up top, Ozil in the Bergkamp role.

Wilshere and Flamini/Ox in the middle.

Rest Rambo to make sure he is over ankle injury.

You've hit the nail on the head G95, Fabregas is in my opinion a better option than Ozil for the Premier league anyway so I would have been happy taking him and selling Ozil.
But instead we play a world class player out of position to the detriment of our side and massively improve a team who were already above us!

5.) 15 Sep 2014
Truth is a awful lot of us seriously doubt Arsene's tactics and selections, I'm sure he couldn't careless what we or anyone else thinks but we would all all love him to restore our confidence in him

6.) 15 Sep 2014
Yes Ozil is playing out of position.
But surely he is a good enough player to put in better performances than he is currently doing.
We do not know if their is a problem with him mental or physical
Maybe he has problems at home his misses may not like London.he needs to sort his former out quickly because I feel some of the faithful will get on his back like what happened to rambling a few years back

I am tired of reading this stuff, if you people have forgotten wenger has played ramsey on the wing and even at RB, look what that has done to him. Also wilshire has played there. Wenger has said its for player development, which he does as well, which is why still he attracts players because of this kind of development. Its much more, ozil is only going to get fitter and pace and stamina the more he plays on there, it will be just a matter of time before he is back centerally

Hope you are right Hood.

Personally, I don't know too many managers who buy players and play them out of position, at least successfully.

9.) 15 Sep 2014
Ramsey was maturing as a footballer. Ozil is already there. He must play at the No.10 position or we may as well sell him!

10.) 15 Sep 2014
^^^^^^^^

Player development? do me a favour 60 odd caps and a world cup winner for Germany.

He is proven in his position and it isn't out wide

Come off it

Bambam,

I replied to Hood's post in a polite fashion (see above), but you just smashed the crap out of his post, lol.

I think tomorrow Wenger will play Arteta and Flamini with Wilshere in the same role as against city. Ramsey didn't look right on Saturday and Villa away I'd rather he was fit and ready for that.
Ozil will play and I feel like you all do he has to be central. But how do you accommodate that. I would play Sanchez and Welbeck up top but they have to provide the width. Ozil playing like a false 9, the withdrawn forward like dags said the "Bergkamp role". The 3 of them however should be able to swap almost dependant on where Ozil moves. If Ozil goes left then Sanchez goes central for example.
Ozil has to be part of the front 3 so it still gives us adequate defensive cover in midfield. If you include Ozil as part of the midfield we might aswell play with 10 men as his lack of discipline towards defending leaves us so open.

13.) 15 Sep 2014
I'm more polite than you Banbury mate, but your spot on with that post.
Ozil is no up and coming youngster if he ain't up to our standard now he never will be.
Ozil is a great player and we are a great club but sometimes it just doesn't work out

Oi you southern muppets

Sorry Mrs Bambam, lol.

16.) 16 Sep 2014
Well I don't mind that kind of response anyways its banter I love it. Bambam I mean come on when Ramsey was played out of position, he was the captain of his international team, so now?
