Just spitballing, but I think Bayern made a big mistake before a ball was even kicked.
I say Bayern, but I think Guardiola made a mistake saying post match "Arsenal will be like animals".
He didn't say it in a nasty way, but was insinuating we would go gung-ho from first whistle.

Maybe Wenger turned the tables on him and decided to play a more patient game, give Bayern the possession until the final third, win the ball and get them on the counter.

If that was Wenger's plan, based on Guardiola's pre-match assumption, than it worked a treat.

Nice to know we can play different styles, attacking from the off against Manchester United and a more patient approach against Bayern.

Maybe Wenger is a good manager after all?

I think it was just a brilliant executed plan all round, I read somewhere, ozil won the ball back more than any other player.

That stat does surprise me MgM mate but very pleasantly, Mesut is absolutely brilliant IMO.
Stats don't lie and its also a fact that he covers more ground per game than any other Arsenal player including Sanchez and Ramsey.
The bloke is class on grass, 100% team focused and humble rather than self promoting and deffinately our most underrated player of all time.

I think Gus Caesar was more underrated.
Oh wait,

i never worry about ozil anymore. while my mates were screaming at 60 mins to take him off, all i said was, here is a player who needs that one moment to change the game, and while his play is not easy on the eye, it was his run that got us the second goal, however lucky we were to actually get that call given.

because we all know no one saw it, just a fluke decision given correctly.

Also read that. Won the ball back 9 times, more than anyone on the pitch. Impressive.
