Ahh, I would agree with that then rg, welbeck doesn't fill me with confidence, but I would much rather see him out wide than Ramsey, he would offer so much more width, trying to shoehorn Ramsey and ozil in to the side clearly doesn't work and makes us too narrow as one has to play wide and neither provide any width, welbeck also works hard and offers cover that both seem reluctant to. Still you would hope your wingers mainly there to cause problems and put fear in to the oppositions fullbacks, rather than just because he works hard!

I think Danny is having to prove himself to Dick before getting a new contract offer plus i think he wants to see what game time he gets before committing himself to us.
I don't get the impression it's all about money for Danny I think he's as much if not more concerned about his career which is a nice change if true.

We need three in midfield, if Dick won't go 3 at the back.
Torreira, Gouendouzi al ninny (from the players we have)
Auba, lacca, myki (from the players we have)
Al ninny needs replacing in jan to make midfield better. We also need to be replacing Ozil for a more creative wide right player. We have too many players who can't tackle and worry too much about their hair do's. If we can find a team to take them, xhaka, mustaffi, bellerin and jenkinson all need outing asap.
