Hi Eds, who actually control's the transfers at arsenal because they are absolutely shocking. Better defenders than white for less money everywhere, look at the 2 spurs have got/ getting for a start. Why has bissouma not been signed when he'd walk into the team aswell as Édouard of Celtic who's available for around 15-20m and has been all summer.

I personally think they hoped the £50 million would get fans into thinking the club mean business, actually a waste of a signing and shows how inept the club is.

yeah not saying White is bad player but in the cold light of day do you think he will really elevate us that much and make us more solid now defensivly overall if it were a Vaharne with his experience and leadership different story a defender like that would make a big difference to us. Just think White being still quite young is not that type and needs a leader alongside to get best out of him. If it were 20-25Mill I would think ok decent enough addition to strengthen squad depth but at 50million its a lot for a defender even in this day and age the money would have been better spend eleswhere.

Hi eds, first time poster, long time reader. Great work from you guys in here seem to be involved a lot more than eds in rangers page (glaswegian arsenal fan here) I've just seen a rumour linking us with lukaku (romelu not Jordan) was wondering if there's any truth in this. Personally I think he's perfect for us, potentially great player. But can't see arsenal spending the money. Looks like its the usual get fans onside with xhaka then come out and say only 2 more and end up with dembele and an average defender. Sorry to ramble but really he needs to get his act together and open his eyes, both van dijk and wanyama would have walked into our team from celtic and he let them go, now wanyama is going to spurs for 11m while we get kb'd off a one season wonder who doesn't fit our system at all. Beyond a joke. We should be prioritising kante, van dijk and a proper top striker like lukaku or morata.
{Ed091's Note - Maybe theyll look to him now the vardy deal is off, but i doubt it due to the fee he would command.

Is the vardy deal actually off then eds? As nothing I've read regarding it being off is in any way conclusive. What Wenger said seemed no different than what he always says when interested in a player?
