Arsenal Are interested in Erik Lamela.

All I can say is this info came from a AST member and Arsenal Shareholder - obviously not a board member.

I have asked him about the 3rd party owned Lamela and how it is hard to sign such players, but he said an inquiry was made, and arsenal would like to sign the player.

There is a similar article about him on caught off rubbish. which I think is random, or maybe they really got some info.

Don't ask me more I was not told more, and neither did I ask more, I was at a work conference not a football convention, at the end of the day I want to believe it, but going by how our transfer window has gone I will let you guys decide what to believe and what not to.

Enjoy your day.

Sadly, I highly highly doubt this one.

I don't see why Roma would sell this player.

Agree1 Disagree0

I am now fast convinced Arsenal won't spend any money in this window, Flamini will be for nothing.

Agree0 Disagree1

Hi

It is not AFC ; if you search on Google Spurs have already made an offer for 30 million, but Roma has a price set for (35-40 million, which is toooooo high for him.).

I AM ONLY GIVING WHAT I AM SEARCHED ON THE NET JUST 5 MINS BACK. MAJORITY OF MEDIA IS GOING WITH SPURS. don't KNOW WHICH ONE IS TRUE? Ed anything u got on this news?

Agree0 Disagree0

Roma is really strong this season. they would be stupid to let someone like him go.

Daily Mail are reporting that Gustavo has signed a 5 year contract with Wolfsburg. Press Conference sometime today to announce this and he will be in their squad for their match tomorrow.

The only transfer I would like to see is Wenger out of the club.

Apparently, we have offered £6m for Ashley Williams & Swansea want somewhere between £10-12m. At 28 this quality CB must be worth £10-12m. He is used to the PL, so will settle in easily. My only concern is that I have only seen him play on the left side of the CB partnership, when we need a right-sided CB to cover for Mertesacker, unless of course, Vermaelen will be out far longer than anticipated, so Wenger wants Williams as a second choice for the left-hand side.
The mounting injuries of typical of the club. A friend who is a sports physio, was of the opinion that the players at the club are not conditioned properly, hence the constant injuries.

Believable49 Unbelievable17

Hey Robbie,
Why should Williams cost 10-12 pounds?

I agree he's a good defender. But Sakho would cost 8-10 pounds, who is of same class and a lot younger as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

There needs to be a complete change right through from the Board to the Manager and also the Physio Team. I too have heard a similar criticism from the medical team at another Pro club so they can't all be wrong. It is bad enough going in to the first game of the season with a thread bare squad, after all there are 38 games to play - however what will happen if any of our only 4 defenders get injured when we face a tricky tie in Turkey? This total lack of preparation for the coming season is shocking and AW should go now.

Agree1 Disagree0

I assume Williams is to cover for Verm as Kos is right sided but can play both. When all fit Mert/Kos right Verm/Williams left. Kos also started life as a RB so could provide cover for this position as Verm does at LB.

I think your physio friend is talking rubbish. The team are conditioned by some of the best in the world. Football is a contact sport, impact injuries are inevitable.

Non impact injuries are always likely in athletes pushing their bodies to the max. Look how many times in the Olympics athletes pick up injuries when they are at the peak of their conditioning, just from pushing their bodies too far.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that non-impact injuries may occur but the problem at Arsenal is that minor injuries turn into major ones all the time. How long was Rosicky and Wilshere out for? How comes Diaby is always injured? Why is Vermaelen always out for lengthy periods? It has to be something to do with the training regime. We go into the start of this season with Sagna, Rosicky, Vermaelen, Walcott, Diaby, Ramsey, Arteta, Sonogo, Monreal and Ryo all carrying some kind of injury - that is more than a 3rd of our squad and that just can not be right.

Agree0 Disagree0

Il buy sakho for us and sod the 8 to 10 pounds il pay 100 pound for him haha

Agree0 Disagree0

My concern with Wenger is that we always offer well below the asking price, giving us little chance in getting the desired player

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest we don't get many more injuries then other clubs do, stop being so dramatic.

Agree1 Disagree0

We have completely redesigned our training and conditioning.

If our players get injuries, it isn't because of conditioning. The best run clubs in the world still get injuries--stop being so dramatic. Plus, these latest ones are all overhyped anyway, only real knocks are to Monreal/Vermaelen

Bendtner in talks with Trabzonspor. Oh please if there is a god!

Believable58 Unbelievable26

Well the sooner the better ~ but until he wakes up and realizes he has thrown his career away by being lazy and greedy he probably won't go anywhere.

Agree1 Disagree0

And his name is Nikki B!

Agree1 Disagree0

Can he play centre back - might need him soon!

Hearing that arsenal will sign flamini tomorrow. No surprise there as wenger doesn't have to spend a penny!

Believable63 Unbelievable43

Oh. yay.

I can barely contain my excitement.

Agree1 Disagree0

So long as its on a low salary I wouldn't mind having him around. its a player who has been on a winning side before, he has the experience. our team is relatively young and it would be good to have some positive influence around. also, let's not forget that we need a squad, not just a starting 11.

saves our money saved for these "marquee" signings (GOD PLEASE LET THEM COME) were all waiting for while bolstering our depth.

Agree2 Disagree2

He would be a decent squad player

Agree0 Disagree0

Flamini walked out on the club at the end of his contract. I wouldn't have allowed him anywhere near the club, never mind sign him. On the playing side, he was hardly a huge success at AC Milan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I would be happy with Flamini - it was a shame when he left and IF hae can stay fit, he will be a useful addition to our squad. By the way, anybody want to buy a luxury team coach - we are selling ours and trading down to a mini bus as that is all we need now to transport our thread bare team!

Agree0 Disagree0

This could be very good business, or end up to he very very desperate business, like you say he actually a half decent squad player could also become a good first team player, wenger knws him and could get the best out of him, but like u say it he would have to start on a 1year deal on a low pay an see how he preforms, i'm hoping wenger will then go out an use every penny of the 70ml+ to get these big signings we was promised, but part of me can't help but wonder if this deal is a desprate one as wenger is privately conceding he won't get his big targets

i think its a good idea. he can play in many position that we lack of like CDM and LB (while Nacho is injured)

Agree0 Disagree0

Afcsince71 a minibus is too big mate, we could just use a smart car, and no congestion charge or road tax so we can save even more money. oh my god i'm turning into arsene wenger
