i went to arsenal club shop today and spent £3 on an arsenal pencil case for my son. that means I have spent more on arsenal this summer than wenger,,,, just thought I would share this with you
1.) We had to pay compensation to Auxerre, and we had to give Sanogo a signing on fee. So no, you have not.
2.) You bought a bargain pencil case with a view to it becoming a world class pencil case one day, whilst you may have spent more than him you are obviously thinking like him. I support another team and I bought my son a pencil case that fits straight into his first bag I am not waiting a couple of seasons before he can use it so you should go back and spend a teener on a proper pencil case preferably one that is tried and tested

I'm surprised you got a pencil case in there for £3. I seem to remember a pencil costing that much when I went in there! You've grabbed your son a bargain.

apparently gustazo has joined wolfsburg for just over £12m,,, jeez, we can't even compete with wolfsburg, yet wenger claims we are still one of the biggest clubs in the world?
will somebody also please tell wenger that if a very good player like gustavo confesses he would love to join arsenal than why not jump on a plane and go and speak to the club/player and maybe, and I know this is alien to wenger, but perhaps make a bid for the player?
no doubt wenger was still at the emirates with his feet up or perhaps he was testing out the new goal line technology again.
before all the wenger lovers throw their toys out of the pram I know we still have 3 weeks until window closes but this is a total joke.
1.) With World Cup next year (In Brazil) aswell), perhaps Gustavo neeed gauranteed first team football, and maybe felt Arsenal could not gaurantee that, even though being a more proper DM he should be.
Like You said maybe Wenger just did not show enough commitement to buying the player in gaurantee that first team football as Wolfsburg did
2.) What is confusing me is that Bayern are not budging on a £17m price tag for Gustavo to come to Arsenal, but are willing to let him go for £12m to Wolfsburg, another Bundesliga side. Surely, it should be the other way round.
3.) Bayern know that wolfsburg are not even a threat to them hence the price.

2.) Ted, yes a free signing is ok but not exactly a "marquee" as promised by the board is it?

well, just as most of us feared, but expected, suarez will not be joining arsenal.
john w henry, owner of liverpool fc, has said that suarez will definitely not be joining arsenal, not matter how much we offer, because we are their main rivals for finishing in the top 4.
he has even spoke to gazidis and told us not to contact them because no way will suarez join us. now they might be playing hardball but, i'm sorry, there is no way an owner of a club the size of LFC will come out with a statement like that if there was any chance of suarez joining arsenal. that won't just be egg on their face but a god damn omelette.
speaking of eggs, I think wenger is a person because he put all of his in one basket. higuain would have been a much more attainable target, more affordable and we would have stood much more of a chance of getting him.
we were promised so much but as usual nothing has been delivered. I hope I am wrong but I can't see it happening. 4th next season?, have you seen spurs squad?. truly disappointed but not surprised.

straight from the horses mouth (no offence suarez). he is taking his case to the premier league because he has a written agreement with liverpool that if they didn't qualify for champions league he can definitely leave for a club who have qualified.
that's no guarantee it would be arsenal but things are looking good.

fellaini too expensive @ £22m? in todays market he's worth every penny. he's big and very good at defending corners/set pieces and poses a threat at corners. for a big bloke he's incredibly skillful and very good at breaking up play from opposition and setting up counter attacks. also very good at sitting in front of back four.
yes wenger said he's expensive but wenger wouldn't pay £22m even if messi was on offer. £70m to spend? bloody spend it than

giroud did well in his first season and will be better this time. remember RVP was here for 8 seasons and it was only really in his last season he scored so many goals, prior to that he would average about 15 to 18 goals. giroud managed that in his first season
