Julio Cesar to sign for Arsenal on Monday. Bernard fee (£21 million) expected to be announced soon, Suarez/Higuain both a possibility and Ashely Williams to sign for cover for the injured Koscielny and Vermaelen with the fee expected to be £10 million. CDM signing is undecided yet as it isn't Wenger's top priority.
If this is true and permitting Arsenal were actually interested in buying Higgy (too much media coverage and his family comments/agent), I am bewildered. His scoring record and build up play is phenomenal an we would of course have his best years ahead, secured. £40 million for Suarez who is of course PROVEN in EPL although has quite a bit of baggage and has to serve a six game ban too. Arguably wages will be SKY HIGH yet Arsenal couldn't stump up the extra 8 million (£22 million was all AW (allegedly) would pay). £8 million more for Higgy and Suarez would be therefore cost £10 million more then him. Higgy's wages would be significantly less. Someone has missed a trick and that could be me; really cannot understand anything as yet. Will there actually be 'marquee' signings this year.
I did read AW's comments about a week ago stating Arsenal would be fighting for the premier NEEDED! Money waiting. Shop Fittings for opening a new shop up; anyone selling, leaving a shop and no use please let me know urgently. Thank you. X in 2 - 3 years from NOW so I am guessing that there will not be a change in the wind and what has been happening will continue for a lot longer. Roll on 2016 for the Gooners.
That is an absolute joke!
Where on earth did shop fittings come from my last post? :S
It was meant to read AW's comments were Arsenal FC would be competing for premier league in two or three years recently.
AND read what you will about that. I am drawn to us signing a lack of quality!
So, it's Monday and no announcement.
Shocker!
Lets see if the Tuesday announcement of Fabregas comes about.
I won't hold my breath.

Cesar: Done deal
Bernard: Reports saying agreed £21 million deal
Suarez: Difficult to agree between Liverpool and Arsenal
There is nothing more annoying than the use of the phrase 'done deal' on this site. Cesar is not in any way a done deal, it may well happen, but it is nowhere near being done.
Paul Dublin
What reports and where? Also where is cesar done deal?

Please Eds! Post this:
Don't expect big signings! But Arsenal will strength the squad smartly.
Gervinho will be sold to Roma next week, Chamakh and Bendtner will go on loan because no clubs will offer their current wages.
Four players will come in:
GK: Cesar is almost a done deal
CB: Ashley Williams or Sakho are targets after Vermalen's and Koscielny's injuries
DM: Kondogbia or Barry. Gustavo is a target but his agent confirmed today that he is not leaving
And one attacking player between: Higuain, Suarez and Bernard.
Rooney will go to Chelsea, Suarez to Madrid and Higuain is close to Napoli so I expect Bernard to be our major signing.
Forever Gunner!
It didn't have to be this way.
AP
Bernard as our major signing?
An unproven 21yr old Brazilian?
Not sure that would have been the "top, top player" we were promised just before season ticket renewal.
Call it the cynic in me. {Ed027's Note - unproven? you obviously never watch Brazil
Why is everybody saying Kos is injured? He seems fine training in Nagoya!
Bernards not a striker he's a midfielder
I cannot say how much I want this to be rubbish, but it might just be right. If this happens, ticket revenue will plummet next season.
Does anyone else have bad feeling about this transfer window could Wenger re-signing for arsenal be included as a transfer? lol
Suarez and Higuain are big name signings thank you.
Lies lies lies!
It's true we won't buy any1 as spurs have bought 2 people and us no1 no trophys next season and no 4th place wenger needs 2 go and Ivan and 50 pound 4 the new shirt when we buy no1 I think it's a joke haven't won anything since 2005 time 4 a change of manager people I think need someone 2 spend money
Will people stop worrying about transfers the, window shuts sept 1st and i'm sure work is going on behind the scenes.

Ed027 I have seen him play for brazil. he's a good player with a lot of potential.
however, he's unproven in the premier league is what I meant, or even proven in europe (champions league etc. )
just because he's played for brazil doesn't make him a "top, top player" which was my main point.
andre santos plays for brazil. so did kleberson, so did jo and he was useless in the premier league. roque junior played for leeds and he was awful. the list goes on. {Ed027's Note - that is some good points

I live in Canada and our footie show over here is Fox Soccer, and they are reliable when it comes to news about north or south american football, and they have reported that Julio Cesar should complete a move to Arsenal this week, Suarez would like to join him - this one may take longer, no interest in Gustavo or Bernard from Arsenal - Gustavo to stay and fight for his place under a new manager at Bayern, Bernard most likely destination Porto. Higuain not close to moving anywhere
I live in Canada too and fox soccer isn't too bad. I am pretty confident in suarez to arsenal. Before I was in a lot of doubt. Go toronto maple leafs go.

Reports in italian media that Napoli are willing to pay £30 million pounds for Higuain, which in turn will fuel Real Madrid with the money to get Luis Suarez. This is so Arsenal.
Reports (and this is the key) as they are just "reports" have also suggested that Napoli have baulked at the £30m asking price.
Just chill out, enjoy the sun and ignore it. I for one am fed up of hearing the rumours about the Hig.
I am now going down the line of "if it happens, great. If not, then fine, move on and see who else comes in. "
Roberto Soldado!
Roberto Soldado won't be signing for us.
And we all know how reliable Italians can be. Especially when it comes to footballing matters!
I wished
What do you mean, this is so Arsenal? We can't control what others do, unless you mean we should pay over the odds for someone
UTD, Man City, and Chelsea all pay over the odds for players they also win trophies.
Great statement and no way of a come back. UTD, Chelsea and City all pay over the odds however they win silverware.
Typical comment from a fan whom probably celebrated the fact Arsenal finished 4th - if you watched the last game of the season and saw how the fans, players and manager REACTED to finishing 4th surely you wouldn't buy the shirt for this season. If so, shame on you! Line the club and AW's pocket.
You would have thought the club, players had won the CHAMPIONS LEGUE. Poor

Expect announcement Wednesday from Japan, Cesc returning to the Arsenal, and we won't have to pay any fee due to money owed from original transfer and Song fee. Welcome home Fab. Expect Media to break news on Tuesday. Other news Saurez wants to join, but Wenger won't pay more than £38 million, wants Saurez to ask for a transfer. Cesar has finally agreed personal terms and will sign 3 year deal. There are working on one more signing, could be Brazilian kid Bernard. Deadwood being cleared out to free up wages for big signings, still need Benthner & Chamak gone.
Come on- cesc coming back? I doubt it very much.
Ooooh I am very excited. Another "expect it to break on Tuesday. " Announced by Arsenal on Wednesday style rumour.
That means it must be true.
Although the original poster didn't sign off with FACT! If that was done then I know it will come true!
Cesc will not sign this summer. FACT!
Yeah that's a bit too much to be believable.
Cesc isn't leaving. Just forget about him for now. And Barcelona don't owe us about 25 million.
The bernard rumour was a hoax apparently. But there could be interest still.
Suarez seems possible but the fee will stand in the way as it always does.
I reacon cesc will defo not go to Manu
Why wouldn't the media break it now? Because it is a pack of lies.
Until a new manager is appointed nobody who is in or around the first squad will be sold.
Will you lot stop banging on about Vedic. he is not coming back. let it go. move on

Reports are that napoli habe 35 mill euro bid accepted for higuain
Ft280t
Reports elsewhere say they have walked away too so who you going to believe?!
Reports reports reports, that's all I keep hearing!
21 Jul 2013 08:14:06
the mirror are reporting that Wenger is preparing a £15 million bid for Gustavo as he looks to streamline the squad.
the added attraction of Gustavo is that he can fill in as a defender if needs be.

Fabregas, Suarez will be Arsenal
players before the transfer window closes. I will then reveal myself to you all. It's a done deal. You can come and say hello to me at the Emirates cup.
I hope so mate, i'm coming all the way from Australia for the opening game of the season. Hoping for big things
Australian Gooner
Okay then I will. I'm there on the Saturday
Laughable. Grow up mate
Yeah right ok then.
Ed, has Wenger signed up to the Arsenal Rumours page because the original poster seems legit!
And when they don't sign, you don't have to reveal yourself. How convenient.
Keep your chap in your trousers and stop making things up!
Is it you Malaga gooner?
So they'll be arsenal players by the time the transfer window closes and that's when u'll reveal urself to us in all your glory? the transfer window don't shut til sept 2nd and the emirates cup is on 3rd august. something doesn't quite add up here if u ask me! on the other hand, if you are in fact arsene wenger then may I say I never doubted you for a minute! lol
chapregas
What a complete Wayne Carr
I hope you turn out to be Captain Planet. I have always wanted to meet him! {Ed052's Note -

arsene wenger hopes to sign suarez by next week. so that wayne rooney can be convinced about arsenal's ambition. its understood that rooney prefer us than our rivals chelsea. with theo, ox and jack wilshere playing a big role in lureing the england international to emirate. (insider Gosten)
That's like saying Rooney wants to play for us because he likes the colour red more than blue (although you wouldn't rule it out).
He's going to go where the money is, and sadly that's Chelski and the bottomless pit that is Romans wallet
One or the other not both, that is on the assumption we are in for them.
Hyperthetical, but who do you think Rooney would get along with or prefer more from the England squad?
Cashley, Cahill, Lamps and Terry (although he's retired from International football)
Or the young lions of Theo, the Ox, Gibbs, Wilshere and Jenks?
IF we're lucky and arsenal manage to pull off a big deal- it will be for 1 of either higuian, suraez or rooney.
I think you are dreaming if you think we will get 2 out of 3. tbh I think we will be lucky to get just 1 of them.
Nonsense, Higuain is set for Napoli now after Madrid have accepted a bid, this means RM now have the money to fund a Suarez bid which is the players favoured destination. This will only show that Arsenal can't attract top players and Rooney will only go to a club that can challenge for trophies.
The invisible gun
Never in a million years will we sign Suarez AND Rooney!
Do you really think Wenger will spend upwards of £65m on two strikers and not address the CB, DM and possibly GK positions with our supposed £70m transfer kitty. ?!
Not going to happen!
Rooney has said before that the person in football he is closest to is Ashley cole so the last part of that is pretty irrelevant really
AK
Rooney and Suarez? Extremely doubtful. I will be both surprised and delighted if we manage to sign either one of them

julio cesar is forced to accept a pay cut from his current income to join arsenal. because napoli have now turned their attention to pepe reina. (insider Gosten)
'Insider'? Of course you are. It was yesterdays news that Reina had joined Napoli on loan. Must try harder.
