Hi tris, if you're around, what's your thoughts on this talk of a European super league?

{Ed001's Note - horrible idea, I hate it. I don't like European football at the best of times, so a league against European teams is just tiresome to me. I want to play the likes of Everton, I don't care about Madrid.}

Mal, with Arteta’s form you won’t need to worry about it. We used to mock EL Spursday football. Now we can't even get that. If top 6 disappear - we could win the league!

Hate the idea and feel sorry for the traveling fans - no more local derbies. Terrible idea.

Well let’s hope the premier league don’t issue an instant points fine as punishment as we may be playing some local derbies in the Championship next season. Big kudos two the two German Clubs for saying nein. Amazing what you can achieve when fans own the majority of the club.

It's a stalking horse suggestion not intended to succeed but merely to find out the strength of opposition against it, it will disappear and resurface again at some point in the future to test the water once again.

Good point g62, we will probably see some variation of this plan surface every so often until they find one that is not immediately condemned.
