Mrs Dags is always moaning that I never buy her anything.

So, I bought her a new bag and belt today.

The hoover now works like a dream.

sbe said the Hoover is a metaphor for the rest of you're relationship, you spend most of the time trying to fix it, despite it being beyond repair, and the damage is caused by something so tiny :P

This season, Olly Giroud has averaged one goal every 108 minutes.

Only Messi, Ronaldo, Lacazette (Lyon) and Alexander Meier (Frankfurt) have a better goalscoring record in Europe.

Interesting.

Trouble was dags one of them 108 minutes was the first monaco game.

21 Mar 2015 08:28:05
That's as maybe but surely the question is
Giroud or Henry? or even Giroud or Bergkamp?

You are not wrong Steve

Understand what you are saying but you can't compare about yesterdays players?

Henry and Bergkamp have gone we have Giroud and he ain't bad at all matey

At least 3-0 could be more.

20 Mar 2015 23:03:34
Careful lads last time I heard this sort of talk was pre Monaco, Newcastle aren't Monaco I here you say but Monaco weren't Monaco 3 weeksa ago :-)
Ah but Newcastle have loads of players out? This is getting spooky now, a formality game just a case of how many I'd take 0 1 gladly but expect probably a hard won 0 2 with anything more being a bonus

20 Mar 2015 23:52:52
Carver knows less about how to manage a team than my nan, and she's a local, they should've hired her instead. Will be an easy win and anything else would be embarressing

No way would I sell Theo.

We have just built up a very good squad.

He is a very good player.

If we start selling, we are taking a step back.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 00:54:02
Dags I've touched on this before. Players like theo and all the other perenial crutch wearers, don't provide enough pitch time to warant keeping them. i'm not picking on any one player but once a crock always a crock, cash in and get a reliable replacement. Let someone else have the hassle. These players are on massive wages and are not playing no more than 5 or 6 games before limping back to the changing room.

Hi guys, Been reading on this site for couple of years and just decided to sign up hope you guys will accept my posts as i'm a big FAN of this page its my main source of information also enjoy all the humour and piss taking that goes on. On another note what do people make of this Cavani talk I myself think he is one of the most overated strikers in Europe, what do you guys think?

Welcome to the nuthouse Glendal.

Cavani?
Top draw striker with an incredible strike rate.
Amazing at Napoli and PSG and for Uruguay.

Would cost a fortune in transfer fee and wages, not sure if Wenger would splash the cash for a 28 year old.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 23:05:02

It is a great page, probably the best or as Derby would say, World Class.

Not me obviously, I've never played football in my life, don't even like the game.

Not sure about Cavani either, may just be playing 2nd fiddle to Ibrahimovic that is holding him back for now.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 23:27:53
Red,

World class?
You mean Messi World Class or Ozil World Class? Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Cavani is top draw just show you all know. Used to keep his picture above the bed but the Mrs hated it as I never made eye contact during sex.

Seriously though the guys class. Doing a job on the wing but if he plays uptop for us he will score lots. If needed giroud uptop and cavani on lef . Better than welbeck filling in

Red dog we need to all meet up for a game see whos a balla

The away goals rule is complete and utter fotheringay. It was introduced to stop "Home" teams sitting back and defending and encourage attacking football. Arsenal scored and attacked in both legs, while Monaco sat back and defended deep in both legs, I don't think they even managed a shot on target at home, proving what a load of tosh it is, simple!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

20 Mar 2015 16:20:22
Would we be asking for change if we made it through on the away goal rule all these seasons in a row? For me we shot ourselves in the foot time after time in the champions league, got rolled over and taken apart in the first leg.

Granted we seemed to do well in the second leg and almost bring it back, but we always leave ourselves with to much to do.

For me the away goal rule was brought in for a good reason, and could be outdated now. But for me, it's never been good enough from Arsenal.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 19:12:00
You absolutely know if the rule was changed next season we'd get Barcelona in last 16 and draw 2 2 at their place 1 1 at home then lose in extra time and we'd all be moaning about the rule change like mad :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 12:23:02
will theo sign a new deal? if he hasn't buy the summer will he be off?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Mar 2015 13:05:12
i wouldn't mind selling him if it's true he wants more than his current 90k a week. Greedy wages wanted for a footballer who hasn't improved since his last contract in my opinion. As someone said Earlier Ox has stepped up his game and overtaken Walcott.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 13:06:47
I want him to stay. But as I've said before he isn't indispensable anymore. Has he done enough to warrant a first team slot each week I'm not sure. Perhaps my memory of pre injury theo is vague. However if pedro is available as rumours suggest and we got him. Then theo can go lol

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 13:19:24
To me he is off, not just putting in that extra bit, and we could get quite a few quid for him, due to the FFP rule and homegrown player rule.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 14:23:57
ok guys if he goes how much would you want for him? 15-20mill?

interesting to see the answers

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 16:08:21
Its been 9 years since he went to the world cup as the next big thing, if not now when?
If we want to be more than nearly challengers then we need to make a decision on atleast some of our nearly players.
Harsh yes but it seems to me the best teams make big decisions while we are still waiting for Jack Theo Gibbs and Szczesney to come good and fulfill their undoubted early potential.
4 is to many to keep trying to make fit and at the same time win big prizes

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 16:18:12
It's difficult saying a price. Only a year left but his english. I'd say 20-25m. But I think your tag is more realistic

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 16:33:59
Theo was showing some great form pre injury and has not been given half a chance to get back to that, a squad is made up of 25 plus players and it seems as soon as someone is not considered a regular starter we have to offload them.

Different story if a guy wants to leave but there's been no indication of that so far with Walcott.

Totally agree with g62 though, 4 players eternally injured is way too many, Jack was looking to get back to something like form until this latest op which has gone from a few days out to a month. Why?

I like them all but we cannot carry players who should be playing an important part in a campaign and helping with rotation and bar Szczesny who in the cup still failed to fill me with confidence I see them as valuable squad players or better if form and injuries don't constantly hamper them.

If that is the case then reluctantly I say move them on.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 16:55:58
Good post red dog. I hope he stays. he's our biggest goal threat I believe. Always gets into goal scoring opportunities

If he did want out though what fee would you want mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 17:22:01
If we don't get more than we paid for welbeck I will be peeved. I feel that transfer was a waste and has restricted Theo since he's come back. I would much rather have theo

Agree0 Disagree1

20 Mar 2015 18:44:27
I think we would easily get more than we paid for Welbeck, if Theo takes on Welbecks work ethic he'd be a major plus.

On form his finishing is head and shoulders above Welbecks. I just think we are being a little harsh on Walcott and assuming he is not showing improvement when the injury is so recent and game sharpness and full fitness not quite there.

The trouble is we keep waiting to see with certain players instead of actually seeing in the here and now. Frustrating.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 18:46:01
I disagree with welbeck. Really think he has added something to our team. Is a good player to have coming on the bench. And if honest in my opinion those 4 players you mentioned Id get rid of them. Maybe not Gibbs. Especially for good fees. Good players but I think we're going through a good transition period. And I dunno if they cut it for me

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 19:02:32
It must be hard for Arsene who brought them all on and works with them all in training each day to say enough is enough, a bit like England with Gerrard/Lampard combination the temptation to try and make it work is enormous because everyone can see how brilliant things could be if only it finally clicks,
But there comes a time to put the needs of the club/team/fans ahead of individuals and make at least some decisions you'd rather not have to make, by letting 2/3 go it removes the temptation and constant nagging in your mind to keep trying one more time.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 21:34:11
i would gladly use Walcott in a swap offer for Sterling who is already ahead of Walcott. but straight cash offer. I would expect 22 million plus add-ons. Man city would be sniffing around as per usual.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 23:15:33
We won't sell him unless he refuses to stay, as that would be utter madness.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 06:43:47
Hi Everyone

Really I am pissed off from Paul Scholes saying all this crap for Ozil. One day he says he was very good (against Manchester United in FA cup) and then critizes him for the monaco game. It is not his fault Monaco scored three goals in first leg. He is an AM and is there to create the right pass so it makes the foward movement yield the best attacking result. Giroud should have scored atleast 2 or even 3 goals. He got the chances but we understand he is not consistent right now but he is trying to be and has some very good technical, physical and also defensive skills.

I am sure Manchester United would have bought him if we did not. I think he played really well. Along with Carzola was involved in every attacking movement. Put in very good crosses from free kicks and corners. Also he was defending as well. The last goal in the first leg which they scored in the last minute of stoppage time at Emirates was the goal which should have been avoided and thus a 2-1 score line would have been acceptable and with 2-0 at Monaco we would have gone through.
it was not ozil fault Mr. Scholes it was the team's fault. So stop your crap and first look into your house and teach Di Maria how to behave on the pitch and also diving is prohibited in EPL. You are trying to make the player upset and infact trying to play these mind games. Because you know how tight is 2nd, 3rd and 4th are plus there is no guessing whom would you like in top 4. You want him to have a bad game and think about all this shit you are saying. I hope Liverpool wins 5-0 and Arsenal wins 4-0. Chelsea looses 13-0 and Man city draws 0-0.

We are getting there and I am sure we will be winning UCL & EPL soon.

I love these type of posts that blame everyone except the actual problem.

If you think that the reason ozil is pants is because others keep telling everyone he is then more fool u.

I had this argument with a scouser not so long ago where he was trying to say Neville criticising migs was the reason he was poor. It just makes me chuckle that's all.

Wenger thinks the away goals rule (introduced 50 years ago), is outdated.

He thinks it should apply after 30 minutes extra time has been played in 2nd leg.

In other words, we drew 3-3 with Monaco and they went through on away goals.

Arsene is saying 30 mins extra time should apply, than if no more goals are scored, the away goals rule kicks in.

Agree?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

20 Mar 2015 00:45:40
Sour grapes if you ask me, the rules are there before you kick off and they are the same for everybody and are fair. Plus it helps rule out crappy penalty shoot outs. Stop embarrassing yourself arsene and be gracious in defeat, when you are beaten on countback, because that's what it amounts to.

club's Managers for example Mou can do no wrong in your eyes and Derby defended Di Maria
for underperforming yet we constantly slate our

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Mar 2015 11:48:29
In all fairness i agree with AW, for instance we both won by two clear goals, but they failed to score against us at their own ground.

On this occasion we were guilty of messing up at home and their goals were pretty much on the break, when we went to them we were a much better team than they were at the emirates.

And yes AW has always said this, so i don't think it's sour grapes.

The truth is that we were guilty of poor defending and lacklustre finishing at home, and we were guilty as much as they were good.
