Another result which is the be all and end all really, considering you could argue it was another undeserved result 4 games on the trot. Aubameyang is just world class he is always a threat even when it looks like he’s not, the tally he has got is amazing considering the lack of supply. Anyway a win against spurs is a must. Coyg.

It's easy to ask the question where would we be without Pea Lacasette and Torreira and of course it's a scary thought, but equally it can be asked where would we be if we had a solid CB paring and a partner for Torreira who was equal to him in ability but different enough to compliment him perfectly and that thought is very very exciting.
A work in progress and 3 months into our rebuild so far so very very good even if still a long long way to go.
If Dick can take us to 17 games unbeaten in just 3 months and with all the problem he inherited what can he do in 12 months or 24 months and 3 or 4 more windows?

It’s going in the right direction mate.

G62 if he gets the backing we'll see the team we love to see.
For me it's not the manger, it's the men in suits behind him.

Our game against Liverpool was our best but, we need to strengthen in January if we want top four.

Agree with that mgm, wenger was highly criticised for not spending, but emery has hardly been given a war chest either and apparently there's not much in the future 50 mil a season or something.

Very good win and Dick is showing himself to be the excellent coach and tachtition we need. Not able to watch games at the moment but i will move hell and high water to try and get to watch this weekend.

Hi lads I'm sure Dick knows pretty much now what he needs in January and of course who he doesn't need too.
As for the 50 million figure? I'm not sure how much truth there is in that, Arsene admitted the money was there if he wanted it and the club always insisted the money was available to him if he wished to spend so I'm not sure where the money has suddenly gone.
Obviously we won't have the spending power of United and City but with the back room boys we have now plus Dick all pulling in the same direction do we needs billions to make us top 4 competive?
I think an excellent partner for Torreira alone would make a huge difference and if you add a clued up savy CB then we might just be able to really make Spurs and United sweat all the way to game 38.

How I wish we still had a fit and healthy Santi Cazorla to play next to Torriera. Bought the best out of Ozil too. 😞.

I think Stoner, our style has changed slightly and the team requires two torreiras or torreira and Gouendouzi.

I'm with you Stoner, Caz Torreira partnership would be awesome.
I actually think Le Coq Torreira would be better partnership than we currently have too, Le Coq Caz were excellent together but Le Coq Xhaka cost Le Coq his Arsenal career, obviously that's not Xhaka fault at all but why Le Coq who had produced at a high standard consistently next to Caz was forced out in favour of Xhaka who struggles next to everyone still mystifies me.

I never feel especially happy with a back three. I always think this formation shows up our lack of width. Still, I'm sure Dick knows.

But it should make more solid and less easy to expose on the break.
The full backs are our width whether we play 2 or 3 at the back, Belerin is expected to provide the ammunition constantly but no matter how quick he is he can't go from one end of the pitch to the other in 2 or 3 seconds like the ball does.
3 at the back should buy us recovery time when we lose possession.

Happy with 3 at the back although not sure Mustafi should be in the back 3
Would then like to see Laca and PEA as a front 2 with Ozil behind them in the hole
Good to see us changing formation and dropping players as don’t fit plan for the day eg Ozil even though I wish he was starting.

Spot in Gunner62. That's how it turned out. Some good performances and some shocking ones, Mhkii in particular, one of his worst games for us. Holding, Kola, Pea, and Torriera all v. good. We will need to defend better than that against spurs - a crucial game not to lose.

Absolutely Urban mate, our defence is scary and if you look at almost all our games this season you think? " We won't get away with that v Spurs ", but then the Liverpool game comes to mind and you think? " should we be more excited than worried " because if we can up our game enough to hold out Liverpool then only City are a step up and a tougher ask than Liverpool.
Personally I'd stick with the back 3 and play SY's front 3 of Ozil Pea Lacasette.
For me 3 4 3 makes sense given the players we have at our disposal right now and that front 3 are as good as almost any there is given the opportunity and enough of the ball.
As for Miki no disrespect but is he any better than Theo? 1 good game in 5 and pretty poor in the other 4 games, if we had sold Sanchez for the 50 million offered in the summer of 2017 would we have even bid for Miki in the first place? We took him because it was our only option left open to us in the end, but hopefully Dick will eventually get more from him and others too.
17 games unbeaten in all competitions we'd have taken that last August and we'd definitely take 20 unbeaten after next week and the United game that follows it :-)

Would like to see the young Greek dude in the back 3 along with Sokratis and Holding

Bellerin and Kola with Torriera plus a new CM

Ozil in front in the middle then PEA and Laca

Sorted.

We are closer than we have been for more than a decade to being competitive, it was always going to be a marathon rather than a sprint but we've made an impressive start where we are still on the shoulder of the leading pack.

Three at the back suits the pkayers we have at this club at the moment. Its the flexibility that we need to be ablexto adapt to formations.
