Just for a moment putting the Arsene in/ out shake it all about debate aside and looking at exactly where we are and how and why we got here.
With still more than a quarter of the season remaining apart from the FA cup our season is over as we are extremely unlikely to make the champions league or drop below the Europa league places regardless of how realistically good or bad we are between now and May.
I think we can all agree this season has been our worst for a generation despite us investing as heavily as anyone on players over the past 3 to 4 years.
Why have things gone so badly this season that with still 10 league games to go we have so little left to play for.

I think you will agree gunner we have stood still for the last 10 year with no progress. Last season we finished second due to the problems of other teams not us being better. I said at the start of this season all the teams that got it wrong last season would not do the same again with the managerial changes. Plus I said the managers now at the top 5 or 6 clubs around us were ahead of wenger as coaches and all have won leagues in the last few years and some champs leagues, so I now think wenger is out of his depth as far as the coaches are concerned. His record against them is poor, very poor. They aremodern coaches who use tactics to win and kill games, they play to your weaknesses and ttheir strengths. It sounfs cruel but compared to them wenger is a dinasaur and is behind with his ideas now. He basically hasn't progressed for 12 years.

We could be 7th tonight or we could be 5 points behind 5th.

I think utd are going to pip Liverpool into 4th place by game 38 while i think we will hold off Everton.
Chance are a league qualifying team will win the FA cup and Utd already have the league cup Europa league place sewn up so does that mean all the team's finishing between 5th and 8th get to sail on the good ship Europa next season?

Plus I think man u might look at the europa league as an easier way of getting in the champs league. It certainly is another bullet in their gun.

Anyone see the video of Alexis shouting at others to come up and celebrate mustafi's goal. I cannot understand why they didn't run up there to celebrate. Is it because we should be winning not drawing? Is it that they just don't care or is there just no unity at the club. Or for the benefit of some was it arsene's fault?

My guess is either they remembered how quickly City took back the lead after out first equaliser and wanted to stay focused 2nd time round or that not all are that happy with life at Arsenal right now and couldn't find the enthusiasm.
Certainly not Arsene's fault that one, I'm sure he'd want all his players to be both as pleased as him and for him us getting something out of the game.

Yea I was joking with the arsene part. Sadly I think a lot of our players do lack some enthusiasm right now. Certainly think with or without arsene there will be some big changes this summer.

But can Arsene see the wood for the trees when it comes to his players 16 mate?
Sometimes when your close its difficult to see who really has your back and who's riding off your back telling you all they think you want to hear with thier own interests at heart way ahead of yours.

Giroud half celebrates - slagged off. Mustafi - we don't celebrates and want to get on and WIN - slagged off. It's open season on the team.

Damned if do and if don't - personally, celebrate when we take the lead. Otherwise, get the ball in the centre fir kick off and stay focuses.

SY4 I totally agree. However it escapes me who giroud was celebrating against but wasn't it a much poorer team than city. But yea seems bit odd the two different reactions for both equalising.

Could it be that Giroud was celebrating a 3-3 draw against Bournemouth in added on time rather than retrieving the ball just a thought.

Huge match tomorrow, we desperately need a win to restore confidence. Gabriel should continue for injured Koscielny. I would play Gibbs at left back. The DM duo should be Xhaka and Elneny. With Ox, Ozil and Sanchez. Then Welback up top.
I know fans will disagree with inclusion of Elneny, but I am not convinced with either Ramsey or Ox in a DM role. Elneny will give far more fight. We can't play the likes of Walcott, Ozil and Iwobi in the same line up, as they all lack fight, I would even consider dropping Ozil for the West Ham match and bring in Ramsey. We must win the battle to allow us to play our football.

I don't know what you have against Monreal RG as he had a solid game at the weekend and his overlapping link up play with Sanchez was really our most effective attacking force. Currently if you want to replace a fullback you really should be looking at the other side of the pitch, as Bellerin really needs a break (and a haircut! ) I do agree with Elneny though, an absolute bargain in my opinion. For me there was one minor incident during the game on Sunday that summed up our Midfield when Le Coq decided to be the player to run through and force Cabello to kick the ball long, right into the space that he should have been in. How can someone who is supposed to be the DM justify pressing the opposition goalkeeper (and why wasn't he chastised by someone in the team when he did) ? That for me justify's Elnenys inclusion at Le Coqs expense.

With all due respect elneny is a good squad player at best, better than xhaka but squad material. Monreal looks good at the moment going forward and links with sanchez well but can't defend to save his life. Gibbs isn't the answer, he's out in the summer. West ham are quite physical and I think xhaka will look like a little boy in midfield. We are struggling to stop teams coming at us and I don't see anything changing that.

And I don't understand how someone can believe that Ramsey will be our saviour. with his slow play and backpasses.
