Kondogbia is a available and has a release clause of €20 million/ £17.1 million. Monaco are interested but are keen to negotiate for €15 million. He is a player who we are interested in and is a lot cheaper than pogba.

1.) Wasteful to throw 20 million on a player that has no premier league experience? Fernandinho took to the premier league like a duck to water the other night for man city!

{Ed022's Note - Hazard, Mata, Aguero, Hernandez to name a few settled straight into the PL in their FIRST season. PL experience isn't THAT essential. However, someone like Fellaini who knows the league and would literally slot into our midfield and know whats happening wouldn't be such a bad option...}

2.) I heard this morning that because of some issue or tax clause or something (can't remember exactly), that the real release clause figure is closer to 27mil.

That is not say that Kondogbia could be bought for less, just that the release clause is actually a lot higher.

With all these players that we have been linked with in attacking midfield positions, draxler, gotze, griezman etc, all costing over £25 million I think Ross Barkley would be a better option, he would cost the same amount, has premier league experience, he is English and can play anywhere in midfield including holding midfield to replace Arteta. We all know that Everton cannot say no to that sort of money. Very impressed with him this season and in this man city match in particular. Just a thought

89gooner

1.) Not a better option than Draxler.

2.) Can't believe no one has mentioned Lallana as a possible option. he's been on fire this year, has premiership experience and offers pace and drive in the AM role which is very different to most our other AMs like cazorla. would certainly tick the plan b box.

New poll: would you be happy with a straight swap ozil for cesc?

89gooner

{Ed025's Note - i will put that forward mate..

1.) Good question, let's see how Ozil gets on next season first, IMO

2.) No for me, bring Cesc home please please and pay what ever money it takes in fee's and wages but not at the cost of Mesut, next season will see why that would have been a very bad move.

3.) Agree with g62, would love a combo of ozil n cesc, our very own Xavi n iniesta and perfect for wilshere and ramsey to learn from.

Just watched the youth cup game against Peterborough on arsenal player. I was impressed. Chuba Akpom looks promising and not too far away from being ready for the first team and scored a hatrick, Gedion Zelalem had a quiet game but looks very comfortable on the ball but a little light weight but Daniel Crowley is on another planet. In a 6-1 win, he scored two brilliant goals and got four assists. I don think he is too far away and could feature sometime this season if we have a good cup run

Would live Frimpong to get a game tonight. Yes, he is by no means the most technically gifted player in our squad. But personally I don't think you need to be to be a goods holding midfielder. You need to be able to make a tackle and then play the pass to the better players. He certainly has the physical and mental strength to play in that position and if he could improve his discipline he could be a solution to that problem.

1.) They like to charge the modern price for a ticket though eh, think of that but won't pay modern wages or prices courupt, but wenger is still a beast so give him a rest
