Hopefully the eds can confirm but I read that fabregas clause for arsenal stands at £24mill

Would you take fab and vela for a total of 27.5m?

Jay_h1986

{Ed002's Note - No - ignore all talk of such "clauses". They will ask €50M.}

1.) Hi ed, but didn't wenger and fabregas both confirm there is some sort of clause?

{Ed002's Note - The Unicorn clause.}

2.) It's not that low I'm sure but they can't ignore the clause, which is there, no matter what Ed says.

3.) They can't ignore clauses? Well seemed to work fine for Liverpool in the summer with suarez

4.) You keep making remarks about this clause being made up ed02. However I have seen another ed say it was true before. Maybe In the summer. Are you 100% sure there is no such thing?

{Ed002's Note - It is simply that you have become obsessed with it and expect 50% on any fee Barcelona can get etc.. It is all nonsense.

The previous poster mentioned it working for Liverpool in the summer - would he like to explain how?

5.) I refer to suarez apparently having a clause in his contract yet liverpool decided to ignore it and reject the bid arsenal made ed

6.) Ok ed I see now. To be fair perhaps a lot of fans including myself believe the papers too much. Although if there is such a clause including the Suarez one. What is the point negotiating these deals if they're worthless

7.) I thought the reason Suarez clause didn't apply was because clauses only apply when changing countries?
Have I misunderstood something yet again :-),
Oh If I only had a brain

{Ed002's Note - No that is pretty much the opposite of what happens. You need to get away from all of this "clause" based discussion. The situation with Suarez was that the club supposedly made a verbal agreement that he could decide if he wanted to leave if another side offered a certain amount. Move on.}

Yep, all this clause, Micah Richards, and Jackson Martinez is getting very boring. Some people need to start living in the real world.

Barca released their spending figures

We paid 34 for Alexis
And received a base 8 for vermelan plus 4 add ons- bargain for Barca

Jay_h1986

1.) I can't say that I agree that Vermaelen was a Barca bargain. He has not looked the same player since his achilles ops.

2.) 03 Sep 2014 09:48:07
Agree RG, he has really struggled.

Gone are the days when he used to be a beast at the back.

Once the medical shows he really has got fawns legs we'll pull out of the deal, don't panic. ;-)

2.) What's the address I will too

Imagine £100m

Benzema £35m
Bender £22m
Sanchez £30
Aurier £7m
Free Gk

That's how I would spend the money

What do we think of Tottenham.

Jay_h1986

1.) No left winger? I pray we sort that situation out, griezmann / di maria type player and we will be laughing.

To answer your question.

S#*t

2.) 20 May 2014 15:09:43
Swap sanchez for draxler and I'm on board.

13 May 2014 22:00:44
Di Maria or Sanchez?

Jay_h1986

1.) 13 May 2014 22:20:50
Di Maria all the way

2.) Di Maria, every time, he is class.

3.) Remy for me.

Oh hold on, think I read it wrong.

4.) I'd take either, but it's Di Maria, no contest.

Ozil

36games. 7goals 12 assists

And some have slated his first season. Adaptation being the key word

Jay_h1986

1.) I thought last night Ozil looked like a 40mill player. I know it was only Newcastle but he was showing all the ability of when he murdered England - passing is outstanding, ability to just wander past people like they were stuck in cement and he gets into position to score very often. I can't think of anyone who played badly last night - but him and Cazorla were on a different pitch to everyone else.

2.) The first season for a foreign player arriving in the Premier League is a transition period, so expect more next season. In any event he has improved the team, hopefully we will secure our first piece of silverware since 2005. Once Theo is back next season & if we sign a mobile, intelligent forward, he will benefit, as he can thread passes through. Next season I would like to see us use quicker players, such as Oxlade, Gnabry & fit again Walcott. If by some miricle Abu Diaby stays fit, his runs will also be a target for Ozil.

3.) I thought he was brilliant last night, made a real difference to the game and was fantastic to watch! I was shocked at half time when one of the pundits on the American stream I was using started absolutely hammering him so it's good to see that whoever that was very much a love voice!

4.) I think next season we will really begin to appreciate how lucky we are to have him

5.) Needs to be rotated and not consistently played for 90 mins.

also wenger needs to do more than start bringing on subs at 70mins plus. I agree yesterday with the game in the bag the timing was right, i'm talking about times when the lineup does not work, and he waits till the magic 70min mark
