with Arteta signing a new 1 year contract extension means no new cm or dm will arrive. I am personalty gutted. I know Arteta is a good servant for the club but come on he is 32 - nearly 33 (next year 34) has passed his prime time. IMO now it is the time to get a new blood into the team like Schneiderlin but AW does everything not to spent money on player WE really need. very skeptical if WE sign a CB too. as I said before no new players will arrive unless some young prodigy which seems likely with the Bielik person.
What do you think ED - any CB coming and if yes would that be someone like new Squilaci or someone with a real quality?

The only reason why Poldi is leaving the club is because he often scores the goals from outside the area or powerfully finishes within penalty area which annoys AW who prefers when a player scores a goal by passing the ball into the empty net or a passing shot next to the keeper (previously rounding him 10 times with the ball)

no new defenders will arrive this month. All defenders fit with Gibbs and Nacho at LB, Per and Kos - CB, Debuchy and Calum at RB + Bellerin and Carl coming back from loan can not see AW signing 9th defender so We can forget about that formation. In the midfield as well a lot of injured players coming back - no signing there neither. Possible reinforcements in the summer specially that Arteta and Flamini will be leaving (contracts expiring) so a possible move for a players like Schneiderlin (hard to get if Saints got 4th place) or Bender but only in the summer. Can not see signing any players up front. Joel Campbell and Sanogo will fill the gap after Poldi departure (Akpom coming thru the ranks too)
Summary no player will sign unless some teenage prodigy

Unfortunately, agree with you.
Would love to see Winston Reid or Van Dijk signed, just to bolster the defence.
2.) One signing to replace Podolski, that's it.

If AW goes who can replace him? One of the most common questions. Everybody has their options I wonder how would TONY PULIS do if he was put in charge? Does it have to be a foreign manager who does not know EPL? Why not T Pulis? Brilliant job at CP last yeat with a limited budget and an eye for sorting out defensive formations problems something we need (1-0 victories not mentioning beating chelsea with HM on charge something that never happened to AW). Wonder what he could achieve with the money AFC has?

2.) I have a feeling we won't finish top four, I hope I am wrong.
If so, I can see Wenger going, as appears to be losing the battle to keep the fans on board. He has made horrendous decisions this season by not signing two additional defenders & two combative defensive midfield players. Put Hummels, Mings, Scneiderlin & Sissoko into the squad and overnight the team will improve. Take out Flamini, Arteta, Monreal. Allow Bellerin & Hayden to go out on loan and you ahve a serious squad. We have the funds to do this.
3.) If Wenger goes, the obvious choices to replace him are: Mourinho, Guardiola, Simone or Ancelotti. None of these are available and all would be very difficult to secure.
Why not give Pullis a chance. He did wonders with Stoke & Crystal Palace and hasn't had the opportunity of managing at the top level. You only have to look at the much maligned Sam Allardyce, to see what managers such as Pullis & Allardyce can do with limited resources. Imagine Wenger managing the teams they managed. Would he have done any better?
4.) Ideally I would give them 5 players each and Tony stop us conceding stupid goals and Arsene get us the goals to win the game.
If only they didn't dislike each other so intently :-) but they do and Arsene would want Kos up front to annoy Tony and Tony would want Sanchez a CB to wind up Arsene.
Wed be relegated but it vwould be fun watching them on the side lines trying to trip each other up

as for the striker my guess is that AW would go for (watch this space) Max Kruse - Moenchengladbach - did not play on Thursday in EL game so will not be cup tied in autumn in CL/EL if plays for other team. . but my heart and dream is WE go for Falcao!!!
1.) Let's hope Messi doesn't play in Barcelonas next game. Then we can sign him too.

Yes!! Finally. It happened. New signing!
The one WE were all waiting for!. And its . Diaby. His injury was not so serious as WE were worried, he is back in training in several months.TG. I started to worry WE won't get anyone, specially that transfer window is nearly closin.
