What happened to this "new era" now the stadium has been payed off we haven't seemed to do much since have we?!
This contract Stand off between the club and Alexis, Ozil and Chambo is ridiculous, I they want out get rid and start to build again, not the best scenario but at least have players that want to be at the club.
The 'deadwood' hate the word but there's plenty of players that aren't good enough for the club, being payed over the odds and now won't take the pay cut and will be here until their contacts run out and we lose out on the transfer fee.
Incoming transfers; great but with Lacazette and Kolasinac but we definitely need a replacement for Cazorla since this Xhaka/ Ramsey combo isn't working there best and after those two who plays CM considering we have El Neny, Coq, Wilshere and Cazorla after that. El Neny isn't good enough, Coq is a red card waiting to happen and Wilshere, Cazorla are half a season players. Definite reinforcements needed. And what happened with Lemar! Just pay it!
Can't see a top 4 finish this season with United and City looking Decent, Chelsea have swapped like for like and spurs didn't need to buy much.
That's my depressing rant over with.

I get what you're saying. But we're two games in why on earth are you wishing for may already. I understand the frustrations but I really don't think we're as rubbish as most of our depressive fans are making out.

You think? I got nothing against him but just seems like a good squad player to me.

Totally agree with you RR. He's obviously not a big name star but the lad leaves it all on the pitch and usually that would be reason enough for me to sing his praises. BUT, he also has great distribution, has a decent strike in him and overall he seems a team player. Never complaining about being on the bench (that I've seen reported) and genuinely seems chuffed to be playing for Arsenal.

" he's a good squad player " seems to have replaced " he's good in the changing room' as our new buzz word for players who are good enough to challenge for the title.
We have an awful lot of squad players :-)
