Not sure on the blue kit, the others ok with me!!
Buzzing over Sanchez, but quick question for dagenham. If we were to sign remy as we'll, I can see poldi or cazorla moving on, would they be worth the sacrifice for the Demi-god that is loic remy??

Lukaku is staying with us mate, not sure if that's a blessing for us or you guys but guess we will find out in 9 months or so.

Title coming home where?

Arsenal?

Not as it stands currently.

3.) 07 Jul 2016 14:38:15
Lukaku pregnant?

4.) 07 Jul 2016 18:17:01
Banners I see your starting the season off with a big positive vibe.

5.) 07 Jul 2016 19:35:16
Welshy

As our squad stands you think we will win the league?

As you know I don't post to please others those who think we will win the league with our current crop

NOT a bloody chance.

Eds, are Madrid willing to listen to offers for varane as reported today? If so, in your opinion would he rather work with mourinho again, or play alongside koscielny with the World Cup in mind?

croydongooner

{Ed001's Note - I am not sure how this is relevant to Arsenal, unless you are wondering if Madrid are going to buy Koscielny?}

How many would have Thomas vermaelen back, presume it was the pre injury, form dip version?

croydongooner

1.) 25 May 2016 19:06:18
Personally I always thought he was better going forward than defending especially in his last couple of seasons.

2.) 25 May 2016 20:30:47
In a heartbeat.

3.) 25 May 2016 22:23:21
Great player, just a shame he lost heart. For me he was awesome but lacked the determination to fight to get his spot back in the team. Therefor I will pass for a younger model that will be more dedicated.

As exciting as the early signing of xhaka is, if we also go for and get kante then there is surely a big sacrifice to pay. Presuming arsene continues either 433 or 4231, then there are 3 midfield spots to fill with xhaka, cazorla, le coq, el neny, Ramsay, jack and Ozil (maybe kante) all vying for spots. Don't get me wrong, that strength in depth is phenomenal but I can't help feeling there will be a big sale (ramsay or wilshere) or that arsene will revert to type and try and shoehorn one into a wide position, which even Malaga would admit only works 1 game in 10!

I can't see arsene signing another cm with xhaka coming in, that position is well n truly filled.
You can't count jack '5 games a season' Wilshere

Didn't santi want to go back to Spain last summer?
I know he's in the new kit photos but maybe he's angling for a move again?

I'd be well happy going into next season with CMs we have. All sorts of versatility in there.

ST
CB
Winger (sell Theo if possible)

These positions should be priority, in that order too :)

2.) 23 May 2016 19:04:27
The beauty of xhaka is he can play DM or where cazorla plays. His work ethic is amazing if we need to be more attackin then we put him in DM and caz or Ramsey in front if more defensive then le coq or elneny and him in front. Ramsey wants to play where ozil plays and that's his best possition but he ain't as good as me ozil. We have loads of options at Rw but none that are world beaters (unless you put Sanchez there but I like him out left) mane would be a good buy for that possition. Even without Kante we are good through the middle now. Just a cf and a CB needed. There are a few players who we could get for CB but the tricky one is the CF possition. To be where we all want to be then only aubamayang, lewandowski or benzema will do ( I'm not sure on morata or higuain or lacazette )

SLB,

Ozil has been raving about Serge Gnabry and with a pre season with us and his form initially he could be the one to watch, can play either wing.

Couple of pub topics I would like your trusted opinions on, eds or regulars .
A: if arsene is serious about adding a 40£m plus striker to the squad, then for me lukaku is the way to go, he's a beast, still only 22 I think and prem proven. With arsenals midfield providing the ammo, 30 goals a season easily.
B:if aubemyang (sp) is arsenes choice, because of pace and movement, is this the nail in the coffin for Walcott as a striker, and further down the line as an arsenal player if being a striker is still high on his wish list?
C: is arsene doing a fergie and buying himself the title as a retirement present? If so would love to see 3/ 4 top signings made and see if he can buy himself the quadruple next year! What a way to go!
My choice would be lukaku, bale, carvalho/ krykoviach (sp) and a top centre half.

I am with you 100% re Lukaku Croydon. I don't know too much about the other guy, but he is playing in a weaker league and there is no proof that he would be as good in the premiership. Where as Lukaku is already banging them in the premiership so is already proven. He is young, and already has the game to replace both Giroud (as can hold the ball up with back to goal) and Walcott (has pace) . If we are going to splash the cash on a forward Lukaku every time for me. And re the 4 dream signings as a retirement present, I would show Everton £100m for Stones and Lukaku (sorry Ed25!) and add Pogba and Greizzman, and slip into retirement to the sound of the trophy cabinet creaking under the extra weight, and to Stan Kronkes crying tears over the massive hole in the balance sheet.

2.) 08 Jan 2016 15:10:20
What have I missed? Has Arsene actually said he's looking at a top striker over the last couple of days or something because there's been a lot of talk about Lukaku, I've been a bit busy so hopefully I've missed this news?
We should sign and out and out striker who is better than Olly and Theo and in my opinion Lukaku is every bit of that, but I doubt unless I really have missed something its going to happen this window or next, Cech has shown the difference top quality makes and that's what required to win top trophies and we should take notice of that else where too.
I think Arsene feels he has more than enough in Olly Theo and Danny to win us the league this season and only time will tell on that, personally I wouldn't gamble on that again especially taking into account Danny and Theo's injury records.

3.) 08 Jan 2016 15:22:24
No, unfortunately G62 you haven't missed anything. this is all just wishful thinking. there's as much chance of me becoming Archbishop of Canterbury than us signing a top striker in this window.

4.) 08 Jan 2016 16:51:30
OK cheers Epping mate I thought I'd wandered into another dimension then :-) Lukaku and Stones for 70 million with Sanogo and Mertesacker going the other way would be perfect all round IMO, well if its just fantasy why not :-)

5.) 08 Jan 2016 17:51:50
Well surely if your going to fantasize G62 it might as well be a straight swap, with Scarlett Johanssen thrown in for free :)

6.) 08 Jan 2016 18:01:45
Good point that Epping but I was trying not to stray to far into Derby's world, lovely as it is I'd like to find my way out again :-)

7.) 08 Jan 2016 19:54:43
Gunner i think it will turn out like, higuain, suarez, draxler and all the other targets with a price on their heads, that we can't or won't meet and offer low offers, aboomerang won't be flying in to the emirates. Shame but if we win the league, without a few world class additions, it may be sir wenger next dec. If not, it might be a bit embarrassing at citeh.

Not enough of an upgrade to giroud to justify that outlay for me. We have enough options up front to not worry too much, unlike def mid.

Ramsey out wide, just doesn't sit right, he is always looking to come inside to get the ball, then looks right and finds no one there. Ramsey alongside le coq and Walcott or ox wide for me. Much better balance.

croydongooner

{Ed001's Note - more to the point he provides no cover for Bellerin at all. At times yesterday Bellerin had Fellaini pulling out wide onto him, while Young and Rojo had absolutely no one covering them at all.}
