Hey Ed, paper stories but they are starting to revive the Draxler stories saying he apparently wants a move to the prem now.
do you know anymore info? are we still interested and what are the chances of a deal this summer for him?

{Ed002's Note - There have been offers and enquiries for Draxler. Both Milan clubs, Bayern Munich, Spurs, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea have enquired at one level or another about Draxler - each has met a "not for sale" barrier. I expected a deal might be brokered this past summer and Arsenal are the team that have consistently pushed for a deal. The player has given mixed responses to interest from Arsenal and they have probably moved on now.}

can you tell us what's happening with Sami Khedira and/or Lars Bender? is a deal for either of those two close and on a more personal question, which would you prefer out of the two? :P

{Ed002's Note - I have no way of measuring "close" but an offer has been made for Khedira by Arsenal but Real Madrid would like to agree a new deal. Bayer Leverkusen's Lars Bender has been a player watched by Arsenal and others, including Juventus and Manchester United, for some time. He recently signed a new contract - but I do think that a bid will be made by Arsenal before the summer but he is sending out the message that he has no interest in the move and his club are not keen to sell. Juventus have dropped any interest they had.}

ed, how true is this Hulk rumor being thrown around? we have had a £26 mill bid accepted for him and he is due to have a medical with us before the world cup starts.

Ed, Is Di Maria a serious possibility for Arsenal and what is the likelyhood that we will make a firm bid for him? also any word on Lars Bender now he has been injured and will miss the world cup? Are we still interested?

{Ed002's Note - I do not know if they have yet submitted a bid but Arsenal, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Juventus are all interested in Di Maria. There has been an offer from Monaco and an rejected PSG offer, although they may well return with another offer. If he cannot stay at Real Madrid, the player would not object to a move to Italy should the opportunity arise and Juventus may give him that opportunity, perhaps as part of a package deal that could see players being exchanged. If not, he would be beyond the means of Juventus. Madrid seem keen to hang on to him.

Ed, do you think Arsenal are likely to bid/sign anyone before the world cup starts? if so any ideas on who the possible signings might be?

So in a way Wenger is sort of correct, that most clubs won't be signing until after the WC.

3.) I believe the window opens on July 1st, so no announcements will be made until then. The World Cup Finals, will of course cause added complications, with many players being away.

I'm curious about the Benzema stories in all the papers.
1. Are we interested
2. have we inquired and if so has/will an offer be made
3. is the player open to a move and what are our chances of landing him?

The answer is yes we're interested .

He will move if real don't want him and then if chelsea, United , city , psg or Munich don't want him it will be a dog fight between us or Spurs 😉

3: You'd think he would be, however, I assume a lot of clubs would want Benzema if he was available!
He's not going to go somewhere not in the UCL, so that's Liverpool out of the picture, but he's also going to want massive wages, I'm sure he's earning something silly at Madrid, to join us, he'd probably want parity, if not more, than Alexis!

Ed's, So what's the story with Julian Draxler? is there a chance of getting him this month or is this a deal that's going to wait until the summer?
They have just signed Sidney Sam and are looking to bring back Holtby so it may strengthen our position in getting him sooner.

Paul-Georges Ntep, I've heard various names being linked but is there anything even remotely solid that you know of? Draxler, Di Maria, Benzema, Mandzukic. anyone?

Ed, they are reporting that our interest has "stepped up" a notch recently and that we are scouting him over the next two or more games ready for the january window. is there a real deal to be done here or do you think we will wait to see the suarez situation and possible attempt to get Benzema should he move down the pecking order at Madrid?
