So Pires tries a penalty and he's a Pratt but Messi is God!
Pires brought diving to the football world.

Couldn't work out why Danny Mills hates Pires but then I went onto Wikipedia

He was a former French international footballer and is best known for his time with Arsenal, where he won three FA Cups and two Premier League titles including the club's unbeaten season of 2003-04. A former France international, Pirès earned 79 caps between 1996 and 2004 for his country, including winning both the 1998 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2000. He has been included in the PFA Team of the Year for the 2001-02, 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons, was the Player of the Tournament for the 2001 FIFA Confederations Cup, FWA Player of the Year for the 2001-02 season, Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year for the 1995-96 season, and was included in the FIFA 100 by Pelé. He was also voted by Arsenal fans as the 6th greatest player in the club's history. He is considered to be one of the greatest French players of all time and one of the finest midfielders of his generation.

Compared to Danny

aniel John Mills (born 18 May 1977 in Norwich, Norfolk) is an English former professional footballer best known for his time at Leeds United. His main position was right-back, though he could also play as central defender. On 7 August 2009 he announced his retirement from the game at the age of 32, due to an ongoing knee injury. [1]

There's a video of him trying to put Henry off, while taking a pen, Henry celebrates In front of him afterwards.

There's another video of Henry taking the ball off Mills by the corner flag then instantly nutmegging him. He can't believe it and just stands there in disbelief. Looks a proper arse! ;-)

But he's clearly not bitter.

Nice professional reply from Pires in the Times.

Having replied he continued to polish his medals and hoped Danny continued to wash his cups and saucers.

so it looks like it will be the lowest premier league winning total this millennium.

will it be lower than man united's total when they won it with, i think 75 points?

16 Feb 2016 17:29:08
Utd have won it on 75 and 79 pionts before but I personally think 78 will be needed this time, just my opinion.

16 Feb 2016 17:41:50
Oh forgot to say my guess of 78 points is based on how the top 3 are doing now as all are averaging just over 2pts per game, the pace might pick up of course but its difficult to think all 3 plus city will simultaneously have a dramatic drop in form from now until May.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Feb 2016 20:12:08
Yes I think all the top 4 will drop points in the run in.78 could well be enough. I would still put Leicester slight Favourites due to better run in with less games. Although it will be interesting to see how they cope now the end gets closer with the increased expectation not something they are used to. They are now expected to take more of the attacking initiative against the lower teams in the table and this may go against them as the lower teams will now do what they have been doing to them play largely on the counter.

Spurs look the business this season and our Darby game against them will be pivitol to the title race.

Leicester's 2 week break could go either way for them IMO, a chance to recharge or a long time to wait to get Sundays defeat out of their system.
Mind you Norwich at home is great game for them to have because defending definitely is not a Norwich strong point.

People Seem to be underestimating how of a game changer that Leicester was for us. That wasn't any regular win it was outrageously euphoric and might serve as the catalyst to our run in.
I find it funny how pundits and gooners are moaning about how we did not play well, yet we were previously maligned for playing attractive football with no tangible results, i guess we can never win.

Don't get me wrong I love the way we play, it's sexy, exciting and beautiful to watch but I also love watching us grind out a result too with pure hard work n 100% dedication!

They say you have to do that to be title contenders and doing it at home or away does not bother me in the slightest, Leicester are no mugs. there top of the league for a reason n just stuffed citeh in there own backyard so getting 3 points in a way that can be frustrating at times is a brilliant result.
Like you say CMP the way we won it would give the players a huge boost in confidence and hopefully put us on a winning run of games, every game from now on should be treated as a cup final. it's so tight at the top.

Going over fixtures trying to work out results and the title goes to Leicester by a point or two. Gave us a draw in NLD so how important is that game going to be. Man C£ty out of it by 4 points. Obviously complete bow locks and cup games, bottle and luck etc need to kick in but we can go very close. I predict with everything taken into account 1.Us 2.Leicester 3. Spuds 4. Man C£ty COYG ( Last minute win, bit of luck going our way and Danny Jack Santi coming back swaying it )

Sussex- what were our results in your run into the title? Are you anticipating a Leicester wobble?

Hi SY4 our results Man U D., Swansea W, Spuds D, West Brom W
Everton W (liberty taken ) Watford W, West Ham D, Palace W, Sunderland W, Man C£ty D and Villa win . Gives us 76 points

Leicester Norwich W, West Brom W, Watford D, Newcastle W Palace W Southampton D Sunderland W West Ham D Swansea W Man U (away) D Everton D Chelsea D = 77 points

Spuds Swansea W West Ham D Us D Villa W Bournemouth W Liverpool D Manchester United D Stoke W West Brom W Chelsea D Soton D Newcastle W = 75 points

Totally unrealistic as all unbeaten and as I say luck momentum injuries etc but Leicesters final games will be tough for them . Tried to be fair and sods law C£ty will romp it! There to be shot at constructively COYG.

83 is the average points needed to win the premier league but I reckon 78 will deffinately be enough this season which would mean we need 27 points from the possible 36 available, 8 wins 3 draws or 9 wins 4 defeats or better from the last 12 games would do it IMO only of course.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Feb 2016 19:48:40
9 wins and 4 draws lol. That's 13 lol

Think you mean 3 defeats lol

I am not going to call it as there's a long way to go and I think a lot of points will be dropped. Man U and Chelsea will have a huge say and all of the top 4 have a few sticky games left plus some "easy" games against bottom clubs will be difficult when some start to fight for their lives a la leicester last year.

Fingers crossed - one things for sure, we must take our chances.

Sussex, in your list of all the results I think you have missed one Arsenal game. You only have 11 for us. So if we win that game we are Champions!

If Leicester are still top come the final game I'm almost 100% certain you can bank on them getting 3 points at Chelsea. Leicester winning it would be much better than seeing you, Spurs or City winning. =P.

To be honest Fuser, if that Leicester win was to also relegate Chelsea I think the fans of us, Spurs and Man City would all happily accept ;)

Aurier suspended indefinitely by PSG. I wanted him over debuchy. He's a very good player. Do we make a move?

Nah. I wanted him over Debuchy too but we may never have seen the emergence of Bellerin in that case, plus you can't just go and start publicly insulting your manager.

Great result at the weekend.

Our next 3 away games will be pivitol if we are to win the league. Obvisouly we go into each game to try and win and we are capeable of beating anyone on our day. realistically though how many points do we need from these difficult games.
Man Utd -
Spurs -
Everton -
would we take just being unbeaten ( 3 points ) or do we need to win all 3?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

16 Feb 2016 12:19:29
have to beat everton, 5 points from those 3 games would be ok, but then that means we don't let up against anyone else.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Feb 2016 13:12:12
I see 4 points being enough as long as the defeat is not in the NLD.
That isn't worth thinking about. once those games are out the way they are very much winable.
