Extremely sad news, never knew the man but from everything I've heard over the last 24 hours he seems to have been a top person.
God bless.

We can all agree that Sanchez is great, most seasons too, but what i can't get my head around is, if he is, such an amazing player, then why is it he 'doesn't always' turn up when we need him? Give him his dues, we'd be far worse without him -
But we know players can carry teams, i.e Luis Suarez at Liverpool.

I Haven't seen Sanchez carry us like the media make out he can, Sometimes he just isn't around. And he throws his dummy out when he gets subbed off after not scoring a goal in 75mins against Stoke (for example) , which, by rights, he should be doing.

Either he's a great player, surrounded by other great, great players - or - He's a player surrounded by terrible players, making him shine.

I Want to love Sanchez, i really do, but i feel after the way he's been over the last two seasons, i feel we can do just that little bit better.

And before anyone mentions, I'm aware this season he's one of the top scorers - but i feel maybe we're showing that we're not that strong of a force if the best of the best for Arsenal is what we call Alexis Sanchez.

Sanchez for me is in a class above would of love to of seen him link with rvp. Cesc. He has down tools a little this year but previous don't think so.

Great player hope he stays but if he does go I will follow him career and im sure he will be a success.

Sanchez needs to be played as a centre forward for a couple of reasons firstly when he plays wide he provides no cover for our full backs leaving them completely exposed secondly when Sanchez plays up front he puts a great deal of pressure on opposing defenders so in affect he is our first line of defence which brings out extra qualities in an already very good player.

Sanchez like other players has been mis managed and he is a winner not a top 4 specialist without him this season we wouldn't even be in the top half of the table.

Sanchez is our only world class player and with a few more top class players around him would only get better it's hard to criticise Sanchez who this season has played in a very poor team.

Couldn't agree more jay, how anyone can criticise him is beyond belief. he's south American and has a temperament but he is an out and out winner, who works his socks off, unlike many.

When it comes to the premier league player of the year i can see some room for debate but as for Arsenal player of the has anyone but Sanchez had even a good season even if not brilliant one?
Walcott has had a lot better season so for me my 1 2 3 for the season is
1 Sanchez
2 Walcott
3? Can't think of anyone worthy of a mention other than Kos i suppose who i don't think has been at his best by a long way but probably still best of a shockingly poor rest.

Theo wouldn't be on the list. Most over rated player in prem imo. wouldn't get in any of the other top sides in the country, Koscielny 2 for sure. but that's where problem lies, no one else deserves a mention.

I haven't been a big Theo fan for some time but being left out by both Arsenal and England last season seemed to get his attention over the summer and he came into the season with a much more determined ambitious attitude than I've seen from him in the past, is he world class? Nope is he ever going going to be? Nope again, has he had his best ever seen and done much much better than the vast majority of the rest? Absolutely in my opinion, i would have let him go on a free last summer just to get him off the books as i had totally given up on him but credit where it's due he's done ok this season, not outstanding in general footballing terms but in Arsenal 2016 -2017 terms I'd say he's been totally outstanding and only outshone by Sanchez and the rather dapper looking fellow in the grey blaser with the tweed lapels and sky blue flanelet bell bottoms who who sat 3 rows back to the left of Arsene in the first half of the home game with Middleborough then seemed to disappear without a trace for the rest of the season for some strange reason.

lol. But does he look better because of how bad everyone else has played? or has he improved? Everytime i watch him, he bottles out of tackles, doesn't track back at all, Usually makes the wrong final decision. Has no skill other than pace and cannot cross. I may just have a personal vendetta against him cause he's on such a rediculous wage for what he does. but then almost everyone past few years you could argue the same.

Theo god no. He needs to move on or be guided here by a new manager but I don't think theyl want him. Getting on now and he's a limited player. Would be an asset further down the prem I feel.

Hard to pick a three tbh. Monreal has had his moments but he's always ready to give his all.

Sanchez wins it rest I don't know.

Sanchez has been by far our best player. But honestly despite his goal tally, Walcott has been really inconsistent and awful in some games. Kos was decent first half of season, and when defence been a disaster recently he's not been the worst culprit. Ox i'd say up there. Just based on few games he's played Cazorla maybe (remember him) .

1. Alexis
2. Koscielny
3. Ox.

seems crazy i totally forgot about Cazorla, amazing player and if its on performances in games played rather than number of games then he is in there, every year.

Sounds like there's life after Sanchez and Ozil with a top 4 finish or an uphil battle without it. Lacazette is the striker arsenal should have bought last summer.

Don't sound very good for us. Our best players leaving with even average players being unlikely.

I have no idea why wenger didn't just hand the cash over for lacazette. he's not number one target of course but the ones we want are at big clubs. Lacazette will cost a lot more this year no doubt.

£50 mil apparently, I'm not an arsenal fan but I just feel if you had bought lacazette instead of Perez and then any half decent midfielder over Granit X you wouldn't be worrying about missing out on top 4. Now it's likely to be a struggle to break back into it, Chelsea, City, United will spend big Spurs are now a top side and Liverpool will likely draw decent players with a top 4 finish. Recruitment needs to be spot on in the summer or you may be looking over your shoulders at Everton aswell.

Any info regarding Rob Holding? He looked pretty good affter we signed him, getting game time etc. Are we going to see more of him next season? Is he any part of the potential overhaul plans?

Excellent young player. I just found it extremely odd that we extended Mertesacker's deal for a further year when we have 4 alternative centre backs.

{Ed002's Note - There still remains a good chance that PM will move on this summer.}

Hopefully we can get rid of Gabriel too, he's never looked like being comfortable in the Prem.
