Congrats to the under 23s for dishing out a bit of revenge, that our first team couldn't manage.

Very excited for Aubameyang. Hoping the rest of the season will convince Ozil to stay, and for crying out loud get a proper holding midfielder - how Arsene cannot see that gaping weakness is beyond me, it's surreal. Seri is the obvious choice and not even that expensive.

hi ed,

could the purchase of mikhi be to compensate for ozil's eventual departure in the summer?

are there any clubs still interest in him?

Yes h2z he s leaving like Sanchez, like all the rest who are waiting waiting to move on.

Once a gooners. blah blah.

23 Jan 2018 20:07:47
Well he won't be going to spuds. He only plays for teams with ambition and can win trophies. Always in our shadow.

23 Jan 2018 20:38:32
somebody's a little touche.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 20:51:51
Yes we are all a little touche whatever that means. Remind me again when was the last time spuds won a trophy, how many light years ago was it. And let's see how many months is it since arsenal won one. Anyway let us get on looking forward to all our new signings, its ever so exiting.

And if Steve says that, I am excited😉thanks Steve.

It seems that Wenger wanted a new strike force, with Sanchez and Walcott sold and Mkhitarian and Aubamerang being brought in and rumours that we wish to sign Moura. Giroud or Welbeck may possibly move on.
I think Wenger may stick with the DM options until the next window and perhaps a sneaky low bid for Evans is on the cards late on in the window, as there is a reported £3m clause in his contract if WBA are relegated, so he may tempt WBA with a £10m ish offer and perhaps a loan of Chambers or Holding until the end of the season.

23 Jan 2018 10:58:22
I guess the Evans option and price will depend on how serious Man City are about the situation.

Agree3 Disagree1

23 Jan 2018 18:04:18
man city are seriously looking for Aymerick laporte so don't think they will go for Evans.

With most of the rumours and activity surrounding our attackers, do you think the board and wenger are going to really push for europa league? With a we'll score more than you attitude.
It's going to take time to rebuild our defence and the quick fix to getting into the ucl would be out scoring teams and winning the europa league.

Wow!
Mkhititaryan in. Potentially Aubameyang on the way. Lucas Moura being discussed seriously for the right wing.
I'd love it now if we go large and get Ryan Sessegnon and Sander Berge for DM and Aymeric Laporte as Centre Half and ship out the rest of those who are relentlessly ruminated on over here.
If all the above happened - and I just cannot believe that Wenger has the control he used to have, so it could - I'd not be so sad to say goodbye to Sanchez, Theo, The Ox, Coquelin and Olivier, Iwobi, Xhaka, Mertesecker, Ramsay, Cech, et al, much as I loved most of them - until Wenger ground the best out of them. Wouldn't cry in Wilshire left too, and maybe Ramsay.

All change please, all change! (including you Kroenke and Arsene) .

Having paid the price for having signed Sanchez on a 4 year deal, we have now signed Mkhitaryan on a 3 and a half year deal, which in effect means at the end of next season he will only have 2 seasons to go and we will have to try to negotiate a longer deal.
Shorter contracts are clearly the way things are going for top players, unless they have a crazy deal such as Sanchez. This means the power transfers even further into top player's hands. I recall Wenger stating that he could see a time when players only sign for a season and this could come true, Imagine the likes of Messi negotiating terms on a season by season basis. The players will then benefit financially from teams being able to sign them without paying a transfer fee. Interesting times, although ultimately it could backfire as money goes out of the game into players pockets opposed to transfer fees moving around the clubs.

At the end of 3 1/ 2 seasons he’ll be out of contract. Incredible insight.

23 Jan 2018 18:18:25
And 32 i think, so a reasonable commitment from both parties.

Sad to see Sanchez depart, but having signed Mkhitaryan and if we sign Aubameyang then the blow will be softened. We then need a couple more signings, a DM and CB to move ahead. Although I have a feeling assuming we get Aubameyang, the only other possibility would be a right-sided forward.
This will again leave us short as we will have sold Sanchez, Walcott and Coquelin and only brought in 2, possibly 3 players, whilst Giroud may depart as part of the Aubameyang deal. I would love to see Nzonzi and a CB arrive, possibly Evans.

panic buys to appease the fans.

23 Jan 2018 07:18:56
Say's the man who's team bought Llorente and spent £35m on Sissoko.

Agree5 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 07:44:10
Dags what a response that was! haha! You don't go and buy Aubameyang and get Mkhi as 'panic buys'. Any other transfer window it would of been good business. let's hope the Auba deal gets wrapped up soon! Fingers crossed :)

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 08:26:16
Some people hey Glenn? Lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 12:30:42
Yes panic buys Dags, are you saying these players were on your list of purchase prior to Sanchez custard pieing your lot off and moving to the biggest club in the world? again his words. Ozil will be next, unless you offer stupid money. Once a Gooner, loyalty eh. :-)

Even your manager stated that you can not compete with United, wasnt what he was saying prior to your new stadium being built? That was supposed to allow you to compete with the United's of the world, your lots gone backwards big time.

£35 on Sissyoko Dags? are you reading the Sunday Sport? and I actually believe Llorente (world cup winner) is a decent player, he's just not given enough game time due to 'One of our own'.

Auba will cause all sorts of trouble for you guys, and not on the pitch and Mkhi was forced out of United, otherwise he would never have gone to you lot. what you lot have to do now to get players, massive salaries or massive fees. once a Gooner eh.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 13:33:44
Yes we have gone backwards, and Spurs have improved immensely, but yet somehow, you're only 3 points ahead of us.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 14:20:37
For now.

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Jan 2018 14:05:39
Spurs are playing every game away this season and still above you lol.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 15:22:32
NES we admit we are going backwards and that's when you actually should do something aout it, which is, i hope, happening. We are going backwards from actually winning something as near as last year. I presume because you don't win anything anymore, you can't go backwards. We will see come may wether the panic buying worked or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 17:48:01
I think we can all agree fernando is awful now. dags would of won world cup in spains squad.

23 Jan 2018 18:07:56
the truth is though Steve, it's been forced on Wenger, not planned. He had no choice with Sanchez except a swap deal otherwise he would have gone for peanuts. and all the rest are to try and appease you disalutioned gooners. and I say that with due respect as the majority of your fans are sick of Wenger and would prefer a change. He's forced to make signings due to the position he's left your club in and needs to keep you lot happy. or the out brigade will start again.

Yes come May it will be rain or shine. or May (be) sooner.

Once a gooners and all that coffofal.

23 Jan 2018 18:55:51
The truth is you have to run a club and the claptrap about our club from a spud, whose team doesn't win trophies anymore is very amusing. Thank you for you impartial, totally honest insight. We will be all the better for it. We might listen to you when you actully win a trophy, so that's never then.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 19:53:28
I can't quite work out the start of your delusional post, it's really doesn't make sense. did you get a little giddy and excited to post a response quickly. Oh

I've told you before and without any such response. I have won trophies, many. at a level a lot higher than I bet you have played. you keep banging the same old drum, as you clearly lack the intelligence to absorb anything anyone outside your little burst bubble Arsenal says.

Wenger in Wenger in Wenger in. now be off with you Steve.

ps We all have a good idea what the R stands for.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 20:05:39
NES the only dilusional on here is obviously you. And well done again you for all your trophies you've won, pity your team can't do it either.
