Good evening from not so hot and sunny Spain.

Just want to say before every man and his dog moans about tonight's result. It won't really make a lot of difference being first or second.

Top the group we could still get Bayern, Dortmund or Real, Juventus or Sevilla, Porto.

Second we could get Barca, Dortmund Real, Juventus Sevlla, Monaco.

It's the performances that are irritating me. I can't understand the lethargy in our play at the moment. Only good thing is, we are still getting results that maybe we shouldn't be getting.

P. S. Did Bayern lose to? Rostov something?

Cant argue with the teams we may or may not end up with win or second. The facts are we are going to finish second again, we haven't played well in November, we haven't won in November, we aren't playing good solid football, we are relying on luck too much too often and we don't seem to have a plan or team ethic when we play. Wenger just picks the team and sends them out to perform, there isn't any strategy to try and secure the correct result against the team we are playing and if there is it isn't working. He fits his favourite players in and doesn't think about strategy. Its always been his style and it used to work but not any more. The players look lost and lacking composure too often.

Couldn't agree more Steve. We need more running off the ball, hopefully free up space for some decent passes.

If and again a big if, we win the next two games in November and then the West Ham game. Could we see that as a decent November? We'd at least have a semi final to look forward to and would still sit pretty in the league, maybe even better than 4th.

Sorry guys but I'm always looking for the positives even though this team frustrate the hell out of me.

I thought Cavani was easily our best defender over the two games :-)
But seriously we can't keep conceeding so many good opportunities per game, relying on the opposition to be poor finishes isn't a strategy I think will continue to be successful all season.

Why does Iwobi get all the quality minutes over the Ox, seems he could use more seasoning and the Ox is in the prime of his career . just another mystic wtf on our strategy.

That was a crazy goal to concede

Thought we were there. Crap marking but crap header with a crap deflection. Was never going in, this is my favourite emoji at present - 💩.

{Ed002's Note - I am not hip to this "emoji" stuff, but the picture reminds me of (a) a sack of turnips, (b) many of the posters visiting this site, or (c) a sack of turnips.}

Or D ) how you make us feel due to your lack of replies on transfer rumours! Lol 😂.

I agree with that rooster. Especially as he played well preseason, and as a sub. Iwobi was impressive last season, but lack of experience has shown more this season. definitely would be playing ox over iwobi.

My opinion on that is the ox is right footed and playing on the left will make us play even narrower. Wont work, we would be better with ozil left and ramsay or santi no 10. But even that isn't ideal.

Pretty sure Iwobi is right footed also?

I was talking to the postman the other day and he mentioned he'd booked a holiday in Spain. I asked if he was going to Parcel-ona. He proceeded to ignore the best ad lib joke I'd come out with in years. When he gets back from his trip, I'll be sure to ask for tips on how to deliver em better.

{Ed025's Note - he deserves the sack for that GBG, or it could be that the post office are trying to stamp it out, its not a great job being a postie...but its better than walking the streets i suppose.. :)

I really shocked my postman this morning by going to the door naked, I'm not sure what shocked him most me being naked or me knowing where he lived :-)

A convincing 3-1 with Olly, Sanchez and ozil all on target, with di maria and cavani linking up to score a good goal against us :)

Ooops Raver, the stalker, so the Toot went out of the CL. So far the Toot are out of 2 competitions, which Arsenal have gone further in. I was amused by Pochettino moaning that the squad wasn't strong enough to compete in the CL. Interesting as the Toot have very few injuries at present and two of the signings made by him in the summer are absolutely dire, Janssen and Sissoko. The Toot's high energy pressing tactics are to blame, it simply isn't possible to do this throughout a season when playing in the CL. You would have thought he would have learnt this from last season's end of season collapse when fatigue kicked in. This season the Toot look worse than last season and a shadow of the CL team Redknapp put together. Yes, I know you haven't been beaten in the PL, but you have drawn half the matches and it will be interesting to see if the Toot can remain unbeaten after they have played their next 2 away matches at Chelsea and Man U. To think you could make history by becoming the first team to go the season unbeaten and finish 5th! As you well know Raver, the pain at the lane just goes on. 1961 and waiting.

R. G. for once I agree with you, the new arrivals are shocking and I think teams have worked out to play spurs high pressing game. I also agree about redknapp as his teams were a lot better to watch than poch. I admit I can't believe we are unbeaten as we've been poor all season apart from the city and Arsenal games. I think Chelsea will run riot on Saturday and end this unbeaten tag.

Raver. - It's good that we finally agree. I think Tottenham have done well with resources. Your chairman deserves a pat on the back, he employed Pochettino who has kept you competitve and made you, in the PL, very hard to beat. He also manages to get your top players to sign long contracts at lower wages than they could expect to received elesewhere, until like Modric, Bale, etc they are finally sold for large transfer fees, which he allows the manager to use to sign players. How on earth you will keep Lloris and Kane when they can obtain double their current wages elsewhere is beyond me. It will be interesting to see what happens if you finish outside the top four and fail to win a trophy. Will Lloris and Kane want to move on? Hopefully now we can continue making sensible and constructive comments.

Raver, fair play to you for the honest reply. All the teams in the CL are there on merit and all games are tough.

The problem with the Toot is that only have 3 top quality players: Lloris (where would they be without him? ) , Alderweirald and Kane (where would they be without him? ) . They have been knocked out of the League Cup and now the CL. If they get beaten at Chelsea at the weekend, I can't see them having enough to get ahead of Chelsea, Man C, Lverpool or Arsenal, so a CL spot next season looks highly unlikely. In fact other than Man U, who could overtake them, they are in contention with similar teams to them; Watford, WBA, Everton, etc. The pain at the lane just goes on . 1961 and waiting.
