I want us to finish in the top four.
I want us to win the cup.
But given what the management, players and fans are saying about easy they are going to stuff us, I almost want us to beat them more than anything else.
I know its not logical but some of things they are saying are truly awful.

Players and management at Spurs saying they are going to stuff us. Plus, supporters who beat up there own fans, demands a reaction from our players!
I believe we will turn up for this one and we will win!

Let's see what happens in the next 2 games with Spurs and Utd?
Win both and when I pick myself up off the floor I will pass Arsene the pen to sign his new 100 year contract :-)
Get 4 points and ummm possible but still unlikely
2pts or less any chance of getting into next season's Johnson paint trophy rather than the spursdaynight league?

A definite possibility, but extremely difficult. The good thing is that we are on a good run, with the new formation, which will breed confidence, However, we have a tough run in. We need to avoid defeat on Sunday and negotiate difficult home matches against Man U and Everton, whilst Stoke and Southampton will be no walkovers away from home. We should beat Sunderland at home. Against United we have the advantage of more rest as they have an away EL match only days before playing us and have quite an injury list and Fellaini suspended. They also have to play the Toot away, where they may drop points. Our biggest worry is that City and Liverpool have easy run ins. Mind you Liverpool also have a few players out injured and hopefully they will draw a couple of matches, allowing us in, if we win 5 and draw one match! We must get behind Wenger and the team and do our part.

Is there anyone on here defending Sanchez for diving, if so I have some glasses I can borrow, it was the most embarrassing thing I've seen since rivaldo did it.

I love how people will not stick up or get behind some players and manager but are quick to defend Alexis when he does something so silly. Only a small minority tho.

I will defend the fact that he didn't dive! What he did do was play act like he had been hit by a sniper. And I don't believe for one second it hurt him because against West Ham he caught two balls that were drilled at him on his chest and did a little ball juggling afterwards.

Great player who has been absolutely brilliant for Arsenal football club but last night he let himself and the club down badly, one ridiculously stupid embarrassing deplorable incident should not define Alexis Sanchez time with us but it certainly blight's his reputation badly which is sad.
Up until last night if someone used the term " doing a Sanchez ' I'd instantly think of someone working tirelessly and scoring great goals but now if someone said ' he did a Sanchez ' we'd all be thinking of someone throwing themselves on the floor like a spoilt brat trying to get someone else sat on the naughty step, what a shame.

Agree sano he didn't dive, he just did a bit of play acting to try and get the idiot who threw the ball at him sent off. I agree with winterburn, poor reffing and during and after the incident did not show who is in charge.

To be fair Sanchez saw the previous long throwings and it was the only time Leicester looked dangerous. He saw the danger and stoped it. Slightly dirty but the desire to win. He's also the only arsenal player who stands in front of the ball when an opponent wins a free kick to let the team set itself. Top player in my eyes.

Before last night he reminded me of Suarez for all the right footballing reasons but last night he showed the opposite side of that resemblance that no one wants to see imo.

I think both parties should have got a yellow card for ungentlemanly conduct which would have meant Leicester down to 10.

Exactly. I still believe winterburn was correct in saying the referee could've avoided that whole scenario. Did anyone here watch it by any chance. I noticed the ref was w
Waving his hand towards himself and I was thinking is he telling Alexis to get back or Fuchs to get on with taking the throw. Should've gone over and told Alexis to get back 2 metres.

I think you should all get over it. Lots of class players did it before and just to buy time, he's only mistake that he took too long to fall. I thought it was hilarious.

I'd say he dived to the floor acting a fool made himself look a right tit.

It wasn't a dive jelfy, just be pedantic and all but no dive, but embarrassing fairy behaviour yes.

Good result last night and even though I have been critical of him, Monreal has played very well during the last two matches. With Kos and Mustafi looking doubtful for Sunday, we may have to play a back three of Gabriel, Holding and Mertesacker. With the added protection of a four man midfield, this shouldn't be too much of. a problem. Tonight in the Manchester derby a draw woud be ideal, or a City win, as our vest chance of a top four finish is to catch United and Liverpool.

Happy with tonight's result on balance, considering how poor we were. There are no easy games in this league and you've got to take wins at this stage in the season, no matter how ugly.
On the subject of ugly, that Leicester back line can definitely put in an old-fashioned reducer early in the game. The studs in Giroud's back just after he'd come on were nasty and I can't help thinking someone must've ruffled Theo right at the start. He's capable of going missing in a lot of games but he was wimping out of everything this time and almost never seemed to want the ball. Looked a bit like a player who'd suffered a nasty leg break and was fearful of contact.

Anyway, main positives are: clean sheet, the Ox got a rest (I suspect Arsène wanted him rested and fit for Sunday) ; Nacho had a reasonable impact again; Xhaka genuinely improved Arsenal's performance and Bellerin got some vital minutes in.

Main negatives: Sanchez was more of a liability than anything else and looked like he was angling for suspension from the NLD; Theo didn't look like a man recently dropped and fighting for his place; Koscielny looked like he could be out a while; and if we can't take our chances in attack and get that easily bullied off the ball, we won't even have a hope of securing a draw this weekend.

The thing this team and Arsene need is results a few great performance would be the iceing on the cake.
Of the reported 80% of fans who were ready for a change of manager after the Palace game 40% are capable of being won back over by Arsene and I'm sure many have already fallen back into line with these 3 wins.
Avoiding defeats against Spurs and Utd would probably be enough to put Arsene back in a position where he again has 50% of fans happy for him to stay on as manager.
They say a weeks a long time in politics but in football it can take just 90 minutes to dramatically turn opinion polls upside down.
