Congrats raver 61 on winning the Huddersfield Cup, a trophy at last. The pain at the lane and Wembley just goes on. 1961 and waiting.

As for Our Jack. I would prefer 11 of him than 11 of Sanchez any day. Well 10 and a goalkeeper. And as lobg as he can stay injury free. Just saying. He loves the club. Means a lot to me.

I don't doubt Jack's words but the proof of the pudding is when a player is at the very top of thier game and stays even when the club is not at the height of its glory.
Kos and Sagna both passed that test and gave their best years to Arsenal despite having really good alternatives, Sagna was the premier league best RB for many seasons and stood by the Arsenal despite us not being at our best, Kos? Few beers CBs than him over the past 5 years and despite our lack of competiveness he's still here.
It's not until a player has a real chioce to make that you can really bang the loyalty drum.
Sagna and Kos have been externally loyal beyond any possible doubt.

Some really worrying reports kronk trying to buy out usminov. The guy really has got think skin and I hope it has the opposite effect on usminov because kronk in sole charge of arsenal, is the end of us as a football club. Why can't someone tell him in no uncertain terms that he is not wanted at our club.

Totally agree Steve giving him more control would be a catastrophe. Can't believe people have given the thumbs down - if true single most important thing going on at the club. Does Ed 02 know if Kronke has bid for Usmanovs shares? Ps still reeling at agreeing with Steve 😂.

{Ed002's Note - Yes he has.}

Thanks for reply Ed02 . If Kronke were successful in buying the shares could Arsenal be then registered as a private company - even in USA - with there being less accountability no AGM etc and even with the club put up as collateral to support his other interests? Genuinely concerned where this could take our club COYG.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Just to be clear, there is not less accountability in the US. There is less accountability in the state of Delaware, as there is with the Isle of man and chunks of the Caribbean and various other places dotted around the world. In theory, if SK had control of all of the shares he could try to register it elsewhere, although I very much doubt it would be allowed. The club would still need to produce detailed accounts regardless of where it is registered. In terms of collateral, any sharehold can use his or her shares as collateral for a loan but that won't be happening either.}

Thanks again Ed 02 . Still hope Usmanov doesn't sell though COYG.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

Sussex, the last person in sport you would want to own your club is kronk. The man is a sleeze and he isn't interested in the sports side at all. It would be a total disaster for afc. We can only hope usminov isn't interested in selling to him at any price. I will take your word on the thumbs, it's probably kronk.

But will he be thrown in the deep end against Brighton?

I would like to think so g62. I think people forget the abbitlity he has and I know he's immature and a daft sod and his injuries haven't been helpful but I think he still has a big part to play for us. Against Brighton I think we have to go back to the team that won against West Brom but would like to see him come on earlier depending on the situation.

Maybe just Maybe Sanogo with Jack fighting for his Arsenal and possibly even premier league future we might yet see him finally knuckle down and mature?
Injury is always a big concern obviously and at Bournemouth the only way he seemed to stay fit was staying out of the action for 85 minutes per game, obviously he can't do that for us England or any team really.
He could yet be a big asset to us but the odds are getting longer each season mate.

People have to remember that on his previous two returns from injury towards the back end of 13-14 and 14-15 seasons he was great and it was seen at the time as a massive blow that he picked up two bad injurys. He also got goal of the season in both seasons and the only ever player to get it in back to back seasons. Some of the link up play midweek showed me that he still has it. He loves the club and is a gunner through and through. With keeping off the treatment table and grows up abit then he doesn't just walk into the side but the England starting 11 as well.

Gunner are you comparing him to Ozil, with that assessment of 85% out of the game and not tackling. Are you saying he could be our very own Ozil replacement. Or are you saying he can come off the bench for the last 15% of the game and give us his all. Give him another pay rise. Lol.

Steve if there wasn't the injurys that have blighted his career and it was just poor performance after poor performance with a combination of juvenile behaviour then I'd agree. But injurys are not really anything (to a degree considering how he can be reckless at times ) he can do much about .

Contracts don't tend to be one year affairs and when players have been offered contracts it tends to be on the back of good showings not after two years in the treatment room or crap performances. the problem with us is the so called socialist wage policy not so much giving under performers lucrative contracts.

Sano, I used to think Wilshire was one of the few English players ever, who had real footballing ability. While he still has, to some degree, the last 5 years have taken their toll and I personally don't think he will ever get to the heights he should and could of. I don't think he will last until Xmas but he could prove me wrong.
