3.) This will be his first paycheck this season though laker

4.) 60k per week right. yea thought so. poor diaby. did not get paid for some months.

It may be hard to admit. but why are some of us fans soo arrogant that they cannot accept that we can drop points vs the big teams?

im disgraced by most of the posters on here since the chelsea defeat, you are acting worse than last years 6-0.

omg omg omg omg omg we lost booo hooooo.

its a marathon not a sprint. we were dominating last season at this point and didn't win it.
liverpool weren't doing too well this time last season and rose to almost win the league.

Are you fans or critics? I swear most of you think we were lucky to win the fa cup. not celebrate it.

GoonerInk

1.) Wind yer neck in

2.) Its hard to swallow being priced out of going to games, then watch the club accept mediocrity whilst there's £100m+ still in the bank.

club has sold its soul

3.) Spot on Original Ag

4.) Agreed AG

5.) The point of being or being a big team, which I hope we aspire to, is you have to win big games. 5 years now and we cannot hack it with the big guns no more. We are allmfree to have an opinion, that's the point of it all.

6.) 06 Oct 2014 19:55:17
Bang on AG. It doesn't seem like Arsenal right now.

Even in our worst days it was Arsenal. The worst Arsenal or the best Arsenal it was always Arsenal.

Don't know what this is atm.

And I'm not saying that about the squad or the management but there's a feeling about the club right now that it doesn't belong to us anymore.

Don't know what anybody else thinks about that.

a bit of posativity here.

people crying that arsenal had 0 shots on target.
chelsea only had 2 from open play!

and 5 shots off target for them to our 10.

off target shots aren't what we want. but if all 5 of theirs off target hit row z, and all 10 of ours sailed inches past the bar/post then the stats would still be the same. let the performance paint pictures not the stats!

GoonerInk

1.) Not sure what you are trying to say. Their performance was a winning one ours wasn't.

2.) Agree with Steve. Forget shots on or off target. In a game of football only one stat matters. Chelsea 2 Arsenal 0.

I would literally be doing backflips if we played Chelsea and had two shots, scored them both and won the game. Fact is, we were dominated and didn't even deserve a draw.

3.) What a joke. let the performance paint the picture. We LOST. put that in your stat book. That's a stone cold fact there. Ozil shldn't have started. still ain't had my say on him, but it's wearin' thin. get him in the gym or get rid of him. he ain't for the premier league.

4.) That was as easy a win chelsea will have all season. They barely broke sweat

5.) I'm starting to agree, Ozil just isn't up to the premer league physicality, how Wenger did not take him off I don't know.
Also we have Chamberlain sitting on the bench for a lot of the game, he is our only real wing type player at the moment.
How can Chambers develope with the alternation during the game between Ozil, Alexis, then Chamberlain. both full backs need to develop partnerships but they can't at the moment, when Wenger insists on using the likes of Ozil, Carzola Podolski as wingers, none of them are wingers.
Surely Wenger can now see the importance of getting a big strong holding midfielder. or can he.

6.) Seriously. if you have two shots on target you have more chance of scoring. they scored two goals. we had no shots on target and scored no goals. simples

if you play a football match with no shots on target you will struggle to win ffs

7.) I was trying to say that our performance wasnt as bad as everyone is making out.

you are an person if you think arsenal will win every match 200-0.

2-0 away at the bridge is a good result. is it a win? no is it the best result no. but we played ok. just not well

8.) Disagree, when you have a high strung star like him you have to build a team around him that make sense rather than put out on the wing as an add on. He needs to play the 10 with solid cover and lots of options - like we used to do with Fabulous Fab.

9.) Gooner link i'm not a what ever you put, I've said before don't get personal, put your point across. You are entitled to your opinion, don't make it personal.

personally I would have brought on joel campbell or super tommy rosicky over santi.

we had quality creative players in abundance and they couldn't create their own fecal matter.

looking at joel and knowing super tom, I think theyd get stuck in more. rosicky always seems to play well vs his old club.

perhaps that's what arsene expected from pod. but we didn't get it.

ox was a good sub mind.

GoonerInk

1.) I agree. I'd love to see both have a part to play against Villa. Transfer windows done now so we can't do nothing to rectify the situation so Wenger needs to be brutal in wielding the axe.

Ozil and ramsey need dropping

2.) Campbell should start

i do hope everyone on here puts their dummies back in ready for the game on saturday!

GoonerInk

1.) 11 Sep 2014 16:01:25
Make you right ink

2.) Ohh we still have another day, of Dags Awful PJ's now, come on, DG one more

3.) 11 Sep 2014 18:09:36
Just for you Hood.

My wife reckons that I live beyond my means.
Which is rubbish, even my butler agrees with me.

In fact, she left me this morning, saying "You are obsessed with football".
Shame though because we have been married for nearly 25 seasons.

4.) 1.0 to the gunners! Alexis sanchez

5.) According to statistics, exaggeration went up by one million percent this year

6.) 11 Sep 2014 22:03:08
Rue, you do know 98% of all statistics are made up ;-)

now that all the toys are back in the pram, did anyone else think that we looked a little off pace compared to the rest of the teams in the league?

i am not saying this is terrible. we have games to play to gain fitness and sharpness. it WOULD of been a bad thing if we had not rescued the result.
however seeing as we DID rescue the result from a parked bus Crystal Pulis side, I think it shows that we can only get better.

a 70% ready side missing 3 key players, two of whom are world cup winners.
add to that the possible final signing we are destined to make, and hope that it is a CDM. and the spells of beautiful, successful football will turn into 60-80 minute spells of masterclass.

GoonerInk

1.) 3 new players to bed in.
3 World Cup Winners, plus Walcott to return.

2.) Man Utd were defiantly off pace. Liverpool too for a big chunk of their game were too. City weren't great either. Think 1st game lethargy hit a lot of teams

3.) 18 Aug 2014 08:36:10
I don't think any team played well.

Everybody looked lethargic and semi-fit, and as said earlier, so glad Rambo snatched a last minute winner.

4.) 18 Aug 2014 08:48:47
I have to disagree with you all, after all they have been through I thought Southampton were excellent and deserved the win way more than Liverpool did.

Ward-Prowse looks like a another one off their production line. :-)

5.) 18 Aug 2014 09:08:11
Jenjen,

I didn't see the Southampton v Southampton game, but I heard Southampton played well.
:-)

6.) 18 Aug 2014 12:07:06
They did indeed Dags, a lot better than Scousehampton. :-)

7.) 18 Aug 2014 12:35:38
Lot of early season rust across the league. I wouldn't be too worried. I think the CL qualifiers could be of advantage in the regard. A run out to get back settled. Hopefully anyway. I wouldn't like to see it become a prolonged issue.

Nice avatar Rocky you beat me too it!

8.) I have to agree with you there jenny, ward prowse looked a very decent prospect yesterday.

BMI is rumored to be going to UTD

which is a shame, I think he's good enough for a starting place in most prem teams, and could be a natural understudy to Mert, however I think he needs guaranteed staring 11 football

Fab keeps his place,

1) he was given ALL the facup games
2) his form has earned him it

Completely agree with baggins here.

i think most people watched a biased stream with commentators slating us at every turn.

i wouldn't go as far as saying people posting negatively are wrong.
but i'd like people to try and see the result unbiased.

Celestyn, I know its a hard ask, (as you blues aren't know for it but) read everything that's posted pls.

only REAL selling, and if you look we are talking about this summer.

if arsenal had a 50 man squad with players stretching from world class to championship class, i'm sure wenger could loan out/sell 25 and look a genius.

His only real selling was luiz and lukaku phil,
the others contracts ran or were loaned out.
and that's if mourinho is in control of transfers. he has a say but I bet its more modern than that at both chelsea and city.

his bought a world class striker in costa, whom flumpped at the wc.

we bought a world class striker in alexis, whom triumphed at the wc.

he is no genius when it comes to transfers. his tactical nous is what makes him the 'special one'.

chelsea beat us the same way they beat everyone whom poses a striking threat.

So no wingbacks to track their wide men?

very tight centrally, and asking the 3 defenders to play a new system with more spaces divided.

why not just play the same back 4 and ask callum to be less attacking?
