Tottenham offered 8 million for Eriksen, but this falls short of Ajax's 12 million valuation.

12 million? Is that it? For a player of that quality?
What are we doing!
Offer 15 and take him before spurs do. He is a quality player, who would be perfect for us and I've said this for a long time.
What the hell is happening, horrible transfer window.
Even if we sign someone, it shouldn't have to wait til the last few days. Absolute rubbish.
1.) Ajax have publicly given permission to Tottenham to speak to Erikssen, I am pretty sure they wouldn't do this unless they had agreed a fee.
2.) He has only 1 year left on his contract .
3.) I heard 9mil was already agreed. Hopefully not.
4.) He has not impressed me to pay 12 million for him.
you should be asking why no other clubs rate him?
perhaps his very muscular frame?
Perhaps his long lasting endurance?
Perhaps the fact he has been tested against the best of the world in one of the best leagues in the world?
Just because a guy skips around 2-3 players does not make him messi.
There is only one and the others are finding that out the hard way.
besides we have OX and Ryo.
For me OX is better than Erikssen, and Ryo is just a level below him, but with more in terms of tenacity and hardword.
Did I forget to mention how amazing he is at defending?

Think Lakerville has said it all. I've seen him a couple of times and he has been poor. We don't need an attacking mid, and he wouldn't get near our side. Would be a totally pointless signing.
8.) He is the next big thing in danish football, and therefore everybody is following him intensly.
For Ajax he has been key, linking their team neetly together, setting up goals, and of lately scoring quite a few as well.
But ten for the our national team, he has been unbelievebly bad. Not working hard eneugh, not participating.
Whether or not this comes down to the sorounding team, he is not performing at a top level, worthy of a 12 mil price tag. But then again he could be the next big thing (like Gylfi!).

Eriksen is a quality player and huge talent, and I find it stupid to compare him with Ryo and OX because he is not a winger, it would be better to compare him to Cazorla and Roscisky who are at their best in the Center Attacking Midfield, and considering how old Roscisky is I also find it really stupid for Wenger not to use 12 million on Eriksen, that is very cheap, and their does not seem to be anyone else out their for the taking

now imagine we sign him and cesc becomes available. do we let him join man utd, because we signed a player for 12 mill?

11.) I don't agree with that, for 12 million I really think we should try and steal him. And again, 12 million is really cheap (i know this is probably not an exact price). And I agree we need a winger more but that doesn't exclude us from purchasing players for other positions aswell, it's not like it's impossible to make deals with 2, 3 or 4 players at once

I know he might cost a lot, but Marco Reus would be the missing link in our attacking department. He would also add to the list of German players in our team.
Add a CB to the mix, maybe Zouma or Richards.
And add Hatem Ben Arfa.
There it is. Best team in the league.

Whilst I do think we have had a good start to the season,
We need to keep our feet on the ground.
Things are going well, which is great, but the last thing we need is people talking about us winning the title.
It only takes one loss before everyone starts calling for Wengers head again.
The players can't get ahead of themselves now. They need to stay grounded, humble and keep doing what they're doing. It seems to be working.
We have a big couple of months coming up, we haven't even played Manchester Utd, City, Chelsea or Liverpool yet.
The mancs will pick up points, we need to do the same and take full advantage of their lost points against the so called 'easier teams'.
We need to keep our foot on the pedal and keep this run going. The season is long, and hopefully we can keep our players fit, we have a very thin squad at the moment. Hopefully with the return of Cazorla, Podolski, Chamberlain, Diaby, Arteta, Vermaelen etc. we will start to see some more competition for places. Strength in depth wins you titles.
Keep going lads, we're doing well.
1.) Agreed, it's unbelievably early to start talking about the title. Let's wait til we've played the top teams before getting ahead of ourselves!
But I do believe we are seeing a newer side to this team and we're not so much one trick ponies any more. And to be honest with you, the fact that we have the quality of youth that we can play an 18yr old boy at right wing and he's one of our best players on a day where we weren't exactly bad, and against a very good team indeed, really is amazing! Before this season I was very worried because last year Gnabry looked like he'd need a fair while before being ready (like Ryo) but he's going to be pushing Theo and The Ox hard come the end of the season.
2.) Spot on, completely agree- great start/recovery (after the villa game)- but must not get full of ourselves at all- a very, very long way to go.
Things could change in the next 5-10 games very easily.
But looking promising, so far.
3.) Ummm not sure in with you on this one lads, the tittle is a big ask and while we should not be thinking of our self's as favourites we shouldn't do our self's down either.
We have a great self belief that's growing all the time and so is the level the players expect of them self's and each other.
We have some real talent out injured and other years they would walk straight back in to the team but now!
Utd City Chel are all under going big changes and while we shouldn't underestimate others we shouldn't be afraid to believe in us

Really hope we don't get this Marica guy, looks pretty average.
We have a big man in Giroud, a smaller lethal forward in podolski and a speed merchant in Walcott.
Remember that Walcott and Podolski are played wide, so what I think we now need is something in between.
Someone like Luis Muriel, Demba Ba, Jermain Defoe, Wayne Rooney etc. someone who is all-round gun, takes his chances and does the job whenever called upon.
Think we have a strong team this season, but it could be stronger.
Nevertheless, still stoked about Ozil.
1.) Thinking the same thing, seems like a panic buy to me because we are short up front.
if he does sign let's say a one year deal, we can be sure another striker will be bought in january or next summer. and it won't show faith, but wenger has shown a ruthless streak with the deadwood this summer apart from park and the best striker in the world, so he might be just what we need.
trying to stay positive as ever.
2.) Expect to see this kid have more game time than Mr NB52, I agree with you we should now start using Poldolski and Walcott as rotation or playing partners up front and don't be surprised to see Mr Rooney in an Arsenal shirt come the January window as I don't see Mr Moyes giving him much game time at United. Come and do for Arsenal what RVP did for United win them the Prem.
P.S Eds great job.
3.) Would love to see Rooney at arsenal, but I can't see it happening, especially in January.

Out of all days to sign for Arsenal, he signs the day we break our transfer record with a 42.5 million signing in Mesut Ozil.
Pretty much nobody cares about viviano signing because we are too busy (me included) getting excited about Ozil.
If you're reading this viviano, dw mate we have'nt forgotten you :p

Why would Dzeko be happy as a 2nd choice at a Arsenal when he can do that at city for much more money?
He would only move to us if we guaranteed him first team football.
I think 86.5 million is a lot when you consider how much we got Ozil for.

I've had the same problem too.
I wrote this massive reply to someone who asked me for reasons on why we should keep AW.
Some of mine get through, some don't.
I know it's probably not intentional but it has been happening for a while now.
