Liverpool fan here in peace. What do you guys think of your transfer window? I find it strange arsenal has so much potential to win the league you have some quality players but then wenger just don't seem to get the players you need. Sanchez was a great signing but you needed a quality forward and cdm and you'd guys would of had a good shot of winning the league.
Also who do you guys think has had the best transfer window?

Sanchez was a great signing, he had a lot of options, but he chose little old us over some of the biggest clubs of the past

I dunno how to take that welsh haha. I agree though with you though dags I think that would of made you much stronger. The strongest squads have got to be city and Chelsea though, they are the favourites although Stoke showed us it's going to be another interesting season.

Liverpool fan here. Firstly just wanna say the banter between the two pages have been brilliant really enjoy reading the posts on our page dags especially you get everyone's reply and open up a great discussion. So I've got a question:
If Wenger gets you 4th place again with nothing else but with the points still being close would you want a change in manager?
1.) Decent question that mate, if there were less that 4 or 5 points between top and 4th it would seem silly to do that.
But what ever happens Arsene has to spend this summer and on quality players to survive much longer

Personally I'll be sick to my stomach if fourth is all we achieve but by the same token this season fourth will actually be no mean feat.
It's a proper title race and not like last seasons give away title.
So no I wouldn't want a change of manager but I'd want Arsene to buy the right players in the summer and then really see what he can produce next season.
There will be nothing to save him if he doesn't produce then and I would wonder how he would feel himself if fourth was our lot this year.
3.) Yes. Its all a bit ground hog day if that is the case.

Good question mate. Personally I would give Arsene another season, at least.
Since the move from Highbury to the Emirates he has had to operate with certain financial restrictions to pay for the stadium and the interest.
Im not a financial expert but I believe we have had to sell some of our best players to help finance the upgrade.
Our financial situation is now a lot healthier and we have been able to keep hold of our best players and secure the services of ozil for £42m.
Basically, Wenger has had his hands tied behind his back for a few seasons but now he can express himself more and secure more quality signings.
I believe he has earned the right to stay on for another year or so, hence the contract.
5.) If we finish fourth with 14 pts more than last season (on current pace). Would be harsh to change the manager if that was the case. But so much to play for, we don't know what this season says about all contenders yet.

Liverpool fan here just to say it's going to be a good game today very tight but Liverpool will win 3-2! Anyway I hope arsenal do well overall i'd rather the big money spenders fall out top 4 that would be funny. I would wish you luck guys but don't want too!

Ed if you take anyone's main player out it affects the team. Got to agree about Everton though it's always the managers fault if it goes wrong but doesn't get the praise he deserves when it goes well

Walton I'm pretty sure he's a Manc which makes sense considering how bitter that post was! I'm pretty sure all arsenal fans are annoyed they are now fighting for 4th but as dags said win the FA cup and you've had a good season. 4th and trophy is better then 3rd and no trophy
I have a lot of respect for arsenal fans because of how you fans come on our site and we have good banter but to cool Liverpool a small club is very disrespectful.
Still because so many of you are so nice and in general arsenal is a much better club then the chavs or man city I really hope you win the league if we can't!
