uh oh . just seen that Anthony Taylor is the ref for the game versus Villa at the weekend. Let's have a guess on what diabolical decision will take place. I am going for Koscielny to be sent off for having a bad hair day.

I think he was the ref who sent off Callum Chambers at Stoke.

2.) That's right Dags . and the one previous to that was the home game (Villa again) at the start of last season (1-3) when he gave 2 dodgy pens. Not a good omen.

I am half-way through reading the new Invincibles book which is a great read. This book highlights consistently that Wenger believes in encouraging the players to coach themselves and make things happen. Quotes from many players from that era mention how his recruitment policy was greatly influenced by the intelligence of a player and his ability to learn on his own.

Sadly, it looks quite clear that the current group of players (who I believe are extremely talented) are not responding to this type of leadership. They need coaching and good old fashioned rollocking. Bouldy . surely you have some influence?

Being an Arsenal fan over the past few years has certainly been damaging to your health. Just like an earlier post mentioned, I am now finding it difficult to even watch. The Gomis goal v Swansea and then the Rooney goal last night were just so inevitable.

This team is like having your child which keeps making the same mistakes over and over again. You keep getting disappointed and hope that they will learn. You get angry and shout at them. But Wednesday night you will be there again supporting them because the love is unconditional.

Damn I wish I didn't care so much.

1.) Bouldy is not allowed to have any influence that is more than apparent, its wengers way or the highway

2.) Steve Bould may as well be invisible.

Just a few observations that became increasingly irritating during that shambles .

1. Arteta displayed no leadership whatsoever and when his passing game doesn't work he offers little else.

2. Ramsey needs to stop believing he is a superstar and the showboating. The lad is about effort, driving the team forward and determination and tonight he showed none of these qualities.

3. Both full backs pushed up too much and left Mert and Kos totally exposed time and time again. Suicidal tactics against quick attackers.

4. Looking the stats (km's run) it clearly demonstrated Dortmund worked so much harder and Arsenal seemed to lack any desire or energy (with the exception of Jack)

5. Although the manager got the substitutions spot on . and the main fault lies with the players . I don't recall seeing him in the tech area showing any desire either!

Annoying. Poor. Predictable.

Onwards to Villa. It can only get better.

1.) Subbed off the right 2 but too late and I think he should have brought Campbell on instead of Santi.

Ramsey is in danger of turning into Alex Song

2.) Subs spot on? 60 mins he brings off a player who has been abject turd for every minute he's played.

it was totally predictable, you can set your watch by wengers subs

Szczensy, Mertesacker, Arteta and Welbeck, does any other top team have a weaker spine.

Does any other top team play their best player out of position.

They are all the answers you need.

Please don't think that any kind of trophy will be arriving at the Emirates this season.

4.) Yes like I have said Arteta was just woeful to say the least. There were just exposing our CB's constantly and Yes Mert is not the quickest we know that but any CB pairing would struggle exposed like we were tonight with no shield infront of them.

Fullbacks were attacking to much one needs to stay further back when the other attacks, simples. I can't really blame Berllerin too much as his debut and young player in hard game he needed the CB to communicate with him more. he was far from the worst performer tonight.

The thing is with our attacking fullbacks this makes a proper stay at Home top quality DM even more important to give the CB's some protection at all times. Arteta defo not good enough and Neither really is Flamini but we will have to make do with him for now.

I have a funny feeling the launch is at 11pm because Wenger is still in Brazil (and 4 hours behind). I wouldn't be surprised if he unveils a certain Mr Sanchez (in his brand new Arsenal Puma kit) to the world from Copacabana Beach. How cool would that be?

Gotta agree with the comments re Chambers. He has been outstanding in each match so far. As for tonight, I thought Szczesny played really well too. But going forward (similar to Saturday) we seem disjointed and so lacking in pace (unless Sanchez makes a run - with nobody helping him). Giroud was extremely poor and Cazorla anonymous. Ox, Campbell and Rosicky need to be considered for return leg to show some urgency. Let's also hope the intro of Ozil, Poldoski and Per will improve things. Bilic still an irritating buffoon too.

Sorry mate I didn't actually answer your question :) . Keeping the key players fit will result in seeing exactly how good this team/squad is. And I reckon they are the best in the league! Champions and a good run in Europe (SF's) could be possible.

In my opinion Greeny it is down to how well our new fitness coach performs (I think we have a new guy, right?). If he can prevent serious injury to any key player or have players return to action sooner (for the first time since whenever) then we have a fantastic chance. Couple that with what looks like improved squad depth (except CB which will hopefully be addressed soon) and the future looks extremely bright. Comparing today to where we were exactly 12 months ago ensures we are all smiling and cannot wait for Saturday.
