Unai Emery is a big Lucas Perez fan, which means he could bring him back from his loan.

Happy days.

Saw him Dags about three four weeks ago against Barcelona and he was best player on the pitch - and commentator was saying what a good season he was having! Under a Spanish manager worth a punt he's free after all COYG.

Also read somewhere he created more chances in la lugs than everyone bar Messi and Deportivo were relegated . Could be an asset.

Hi eds do you see many leaving arsenal this window and how many do you think we could bring in and thanks for all the hard work.

{Ed002's Note - The numbers will be about even if you remove the kids from the situation. Obviously those responsible have clear targets - as I have explained - they might be able to get what they want, they might turn to others and might have to make do.}

Ok thanks ed for the reply hope you have a good summer and will you be watching the world cup.

{Ed002's Note - I don't have the time to watch too much football SB but I hope you enjoy what you see.}

Hi eds. What's the situation with carl jenkinson? Read his contract expires in 2018.

{Ed001's Note - that is his loan contract. His Arsenal deal is 2020 and it will be up to Emery to take a look at him and make a decision.}

I hope Jenks gets a season back in the Arsenal ranks even if not the side to see if he can progress under Emery, he looked a decent prospect at one time and did well for a while at West ham. He has no resale value as it stands so it might be worth seeing what Emery can do between now and January to get the lad back on track.

G62. As much as I like Jenkinson he is a good example where we have to be ruthless and move him on. He hasn't progressed while here despite opportunities and loan deals. We need to evolve the squad and keeping players at this level who are simply not good enough for us just take up valuable space and salary in the squad.

Great attitude and I wish him the best but I don't see bringing back into the squad is progress.

Your probably right SG it's just that he doesn't fave any resale value at present so might be worth improving before selling if still wasn't good enough for us.

Best option for that would be another loan deal, wouldn't it? His value won't increase if he's not playing here, better off playing regularly somewhere else and in the shop window, Burnley would be ideal, dyche seems like a great coach for defensive players. Don't know if he's better than anything they have though, but with Europe they need a bigger squad and loans is probably the safest way to do that with it being unlikely they would qualify again the next year and then stuck with too big a squad.

Burnley Brighton Newcastle might be good options if they want him as a potential first choice RB, if not Arsenal reserves is a better place for him than anyone else's reserves as it's ideally Emery he needs to impress either on a daily basis in training or a weekly basis on TV.
