Sorry to burst everybody's bubble, it won't be Cech joining, Iker Casillas will be Arsenal's first summer signing.
A better keeper (in my humble opinion) and no transfer fee.

Then why did Casillas win world goalkeeper of the year for 5 consecutive years between 2008 and 2012. Other players will want to come to Arsenal with a legend like Casillas at the club, the same can't be said of Cech.

Sleigh it's just their opinion too. Although I agree with them. Casillas hasn't been the same for me lately. Plus I'm sure maradona won quite a few awards but I wouldn't have his fat a** on my team now lol

Cech is a legendary goalkeeper too, records between 2008-12 don't matter to us. What good is that going to do? We need the better goal keeper, and that's Cech

On current form cech is a better keeper iker allways seems to make a mistake these days there's no doubting his shot stopping ability but I think cech is the commanding keeper we need

Am I the only one that thinks Casillas is pretty WACK,, shaky bro,, he too small,, makes the wrong decisions a lot in terms of coming for crosses when he shouldn't and punching instead of catching,, he would get destroyed in the air,, good shot stopper but that bout it...

I get the impression that Casillas is being looked at in case we don't get Cech. But I really think we will get Cech, he doesn't want to move his family and no other London team can offer him CL or the chance to win anything.

Iker is not better than what we have already. Cech will be a solid solution for next season but what about long term future. szczesny is not near good enough. We need a de gea or Courtois like player, unfortunately not easy to find.

I would prefer Begovic. In his late 20,s, which is a good age for a keeper, and I think Stoke would sell, especially as they have Butland waiting in the wings.

From a journo working on this very story. Nevan Subotic will join Arsenal from Dortmund who have already replaced him with Matthias Ginter who had long been touted as a possible Arsenal signing. Fee around £12m mark.
1.) Lol It always amuses me when people claim to have heard a transfer story directly from a journalist. No journalist worth his salt would let out his/her big scoop to someone prior to actually breaking the news for themselves. That would be counterproductive in the extreme!
2.) OR he's replacing Hummels, who is apparently United bound.
3.) We offered 12m for him back in 2009 and was rejected, can't see him being worth less now than then!

Guys, the journo I have known him for 30 years, when I worked at the Evening Standard, I myself was in sales but we used to drink together on Fleet Street. He is working on this story as are, the Star, Sun and Telegraph. It's which one breaks it first.
I was only relaying what he had told me.
Once this story breaks, I'll tell you another rumour doing the rounds.

I hope the hangovers have abated!
Straight from very high up in a newspaper.
Balotelli, in London and in talks.
There's talk of Subotic, Fabregas, Giovinco and Aurier and a couple of goal keepers who will be, free and or on loan.
1 day and 17 hours since Arsenal last won a trophy!

Hi Fellow Gooners, Back in July I mentioned Giovinco as being on Wengers wish list. It appears he has tuned down a loan move to Arsenal.
I have it on good authority Wenger to tie up a deal today. I'm guessing it's Draxler but can't be certain.
In other news. Big Sam to be down the job centre later today and West Ham to be deducted 10 points before the end of the season. I can't say why as I'm sure it won't be posted for legal reasons. It does involve an ''injured'' player coming back to the team.
