I think if he became available we would have to consider him but he's not been happy with the lack of players he's been allowed to bring in himself so I'm not sure how he would fit in at Arsenal under our new system.

Better still nab Kante off them, he was awesome again today. Huge mistake not out bidding Chelsea for him.

SOmeome needs to clone Kante we could build a right police force out of him as nothing gets past him. Hopefully Liverpool can Nab one of the clones as well.

And I thought it changed 62 so that if the right player was available the club would buy him. I’d fancy Conte to take the oppurtunity too as it’s one hell of a project.

But IF you go with Arteta it’s a huge risk but I think whoever you get next it’s could be like a poisened chalice similar to Moyes a time Utd.

Kante for me is the premier league best player by some distance, there are some fantastic players in the prem but I've never seen the likes of Kante before.

The pundits were wittering on about Hazard being head and shoulders above the rest on the pitch and I had to just turn the sound down to stop myself from shouting about Kante! Kante was colossal once again today. If every there is a world class player it is him. Not one team in world football could honestly say that he would not improve them significantly if he was in it.}

Totally agree Ed001 mate, Salah has had an unbelievably brilliant season KDB too and Suarez that season was totally unplayable but Kante over all his 3 premier league seasons has been consistently world class, I've never seen a better or more more reliable player ever.

Agree Banbury Salah has been absolutely brilliant but Kante is just so impressive week in week out season in season out, the man is everywhere and somehow he's everywhere at the same time it seems.

WY mate i just can't see the point of bringing in someone who wears their heart on their sleave and finds it difficult to hide their feelings and frustrations if we are going to expect them to compromise a lot and accept things they don't necessarily agree with.
Personally I think it would be a miss match and asking for trouble, we are trying something different so we need a coach who is prepared to go along with that Willingly not reluctantly.

WY mate we are trying something different and that is what most people wanted, we've been repeating the same old things over and over without success in the league for years and so we are trying a different approach.
Let's give it a go, so far so good with the arrival of Pea Miki and the young Greek CB let's hope for more of the same and someone who can organise motivate and get them delivering on the pitch.

I don't think Henry will get the job and even if he did I don't think he would last long with the Sven men doing his shopping for him, if he doesn't fancy being anyone's assiant how would he cope with having next to no say about which players come in, I think he's a non starter
I think Artetta would be more compliant and much less vocal about any frustrations he feels.

Your making stuff up g62. Who’s saying that the coach will have no say in transfers? From my understanding Sven is there as the primary scout, and sanalhi as the negotiator. I’m sure that coach will have some say. This is a shake up of integrating new ideas and infrastructure not a dictatorship mate.

Coming round to the possibility Banbury mate but still a very long way from accepting it as being a fact mate, apparently 1 in 4 Sky claims about Arsenal ever materialise so although there is 3 times more chance of them being wrong than right it's still a possibility.
Is it not a dictatorship Sanogo? I thought they were now ruling the roost and even having a very big say in chosing Arsene successor, not many scouts get to pick their boss mate :-)

It’s a very naive and backwards way at looking at it. Were you not all whining that Wenger had too much control. I swear you can’t remember what you say from one week to the next. The scout in question is one of the most highly rated in the world and considering the dire situation before he came (Sanchez ala) I’d say that things were better after he came and your all trying to come to terms with the idea of Arteta but joking about a radical change in thinking, that you have all been asking for. Get a grip. Got a very good crew on board and the club have made huge leaps into changing them (eventually I know) and from what the Ed’s have said Arsenal appear to be making solid ground, I think Arteta would be a poor choice but from the sound of it we have the best behind the scenes.

I remember very much saying Arsene had way too much control and I've not slagged off the Sven men appointment but simply pointed out that if your scout is going to have a big say in who your next manager is going to he's a lot lot more than a scout who simply recomends and advises the manager on players he's calling the shots, which limits your choice of manager considerably and only someone who is looking for a break into management or head coach would really be up for it.
Sven most certainly hasn't come to Arsenal simply to offer advice on players that's for sure.
