Use our rumours form to send us arsenal transfer rumours.

It would be nice to think that we have pulled the plug on ramsey because of what is best for arsenal and not the player. Nice start to the new dawn if it is. Ramsey out and a player we need in, probably on less money would be refreshing. The new era is well and truly starting. I hope!

We should have done this last summer and we shouldn't be wasting our time on a player who won't be with us next season a moment longer.
Play Xhaka Elneny or anyone else but not Ramsey in my opinion.

From what i understand, it was all on track in the summer and when it got near to the deadline day, we wouldn't have had time to something. At least now we can plan to move on, all of us.

Ramsey and Welbeck are a problem left over from the Gazidis/ Wenger era. Allowing valuable players contracts to run down is hopefully a thing of the past and so is agreeing to overpay players, such as Ozil. Other than for financial reasons Ramsey departing doesn't concern me. He lacks pace, defensive ability and is easily replacebable.

Just a question to find out your thoughts. If Ramsey is going to leave and we could get the money together would anyone be happy to replace him with Pogba who equally looks like he may be moving soon? Please go easy on me it's just a thought!

I'd take that chance if it was available to us mate but I doubt very very much it would be within our capabilities to get Pogba, he's Barcelona bound by the looks of things and I think we will the very best of him again once there.

Of all the things you disliked in players in as you described, the old cosy club at Arsenal, Pogba has every single attribute to fit into that perfectly.

The guy is an utter waste of space, who would be about as much use as tits on a fish in our midfield.

He, in my opinion was hyped up by millions of United fans, after he left them, into this fabulous player I’ve yet to see.

I personally think Ravel Morrison had a ton more ability, sadly another waste of space though.

Is it too soon to think smith rowe can be our pacey wide player?

He has huge potential, but I feel it is 2 or 3 seasons early.
Zaha would be a good signing.

Sterling was playing and staring regularly for Liverpool at 17 and Mbappe was how old at Monaco when he was getting rave reviews, Rushford Deli Ali were both also staring in the premier league before their 18th birthday.
If your special enough your old enough, I'm not sure if his or isn't that special but there is only one way to find out and if he is it would be a huge huge boost for us.
We could do with someone really special to get everyone excited again about every game no matter who we are playing or how we are doing in the league.

Very few players are mature enough physically in the modern game to play regularly at PL level for a top club. Keep him at the club and play him in as many League Cup and EL matches and possibly as a sub in PL matches, being brought on as much as possible, It would be great if he can come through and become a first team regular, The same goes for Nelson, who should benefit from a season in Germany playing first team football.

It seems to me the sooner the mislintat era has taken over, the better. Players brought in include, auba, myki, Gouendouzi, torreira, sokratis, lichsteiner, mavropanos and leno ( who we have yet to really see) all seem to have a different standard and attitude to the wenger players. Of the ones not yet shipped out, lacca, monreal, cech and welbeck have to stay. The players with the wenger stamp, ozil, xhaka, ramsey, bellerin, mustaffi and al ninny all need hopefully replacing in the next two windows. I think mislintat understands the stamp of footballer required in the modern game. Some of the wenger squad aren't bad players, just sloppy and not hard working. For this team to progress, mislintat needs to turn this squad over inside 2 years. Some players may not be shipped out but would end up squad players. Bit by bit the squad is being over hauled.

The team appears at an odd stage, a sort of crossover between the Wenger and Emery era's. There is a noticeable increase in the teams fitness and physicality. Tactically we are clearly beginning to change over to Emery's ways. We seem to be able to win despite not playing particularly well, which is a good sign.
Player-wise, there has been a noticeable improvement in the following players: Cech (except passing out from the back) , Holding, Mustafi, Lacazette and Iwobi. Players often seemed to go backwards in terms of form under Wenger in the second half of his reign at the club.
Mislintat's signings have been good, he clearly has an eye for a player.
I am really enjoying the new era, although I believe more surgery needs to be carried out to the squad, particularly to the 3 in Emery's 4-2-3-1 formation. I won't be upset to see Ramsey go, nor Ozil if he leaves. We could do with a pacy wide player and the 3 need to be able to defend, as well as attack.

I read this mornibg that Vincent Kompany is donating all funds from his testimonial to a Manchester homeless charity who are aiming to ending homelessness in Manchester by 2020.
A brilliant gesture by Kompany who has always struck me as a really good bloke and what a fantastic cause he's backing.
Making homelessness in Manchester a thing of the past in little over a years time is a huge task and I truly hope they make it because it would surely set an example to the rest of the country if they managed to achieve such a fantastic thing in such a short space of time.
I wish the charity and Vincent Kompany every success.

Agree gunner top man, all ways liked the guy, comes over as down to earth, held back from being the best, only by injury. This country this last 5 years or so has ignored the massively increasing homeless. I blame this useless government. Anything charities can do is great.

Totally agree Steve mate, the past year or so things have improved in peterborough as the new MP has been on a mission to actively do something about it herself.
Since being elected she's gone out onto the streets herself at night to count the true number of people who are sleeping rough rather than accept the local authorities figures and surprise surprise she proved the official figures to be grossly underestimated.
There are plenty of empty shops offices and factories around the city and while obviously not a long term solution it would be a start to use them to get people out of the freezing cold this winter until a better more long solution is achieved.
They say no one is immune from homelessness it could happen to absolutely anyone for various reasons and most people are little more than two pack cheques away from it themselves.
That's a scary thought for most people to even dare to think about.

It apears that Ramsey will run his contract down and leave in the summer. This will be another player that we failed to tie up under the previous administration and in today's market that could be a loss of £50m, plus the cost of a replacement. However, I am not a huge fan of his and believe replacing him won't be too difficult. I find the Welbeck situation baffling, as he is a decent player and we are not to be making any effort to tie up a new deal. Perhaps the thinking in respect in terms of Ramsey has changed as Emery has options in the 3 attacking midfield roles and is reported to want to bring in a wide player.

Ramsey simply not worth the sort of wages he is after, he is easily replacable in fact I think Miki is kind of his replacment already. We have too many central AM's anyway and whenever he plays out wide it makes the side unbalanced. I think Ramsey will have a shock if he thinks he can secure such massive wage demends elsewhere, there were not many takers on him in the summer knowing he was in his last year was there. I would not lose to much sleep over him leaving tbh.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we sold mhiki in summer also Ryan and ised the funds to by a natural wide player, he is a quality player and has proven he links with Auba when played behind him, but that's not our best option.

28 Sep 2018 09:07:19
I’d play miki behind the forwards instead of Ozil he is involved in the game more than Ozil is.
