Greetings gunners,
As a Liverpool fan, I would love to hear you voice your opinions on Balotelli. Would he have been the player that you wanted or do you think you have dodged a bullet?
1.) 21 Aug 2014 21:08:54
Hi mate,
Balotelli? Marmite, you either love him or hate him.
Personally, I'm glad we didn't go for him.
Loose cannon, disruptive, not a team player, too much trouble.
But, on his day, one hell of a player who can win you games.
Under the right manager/in the right team, he can be world class.
Happy we didn't sign him but would have been equally happy if we did.
Confused? Me too.
2.) I completely agree with you dags. I for one am very happy and I think he will be a success. Then again he could be he complete opposite! (Hoping he isn't the complete opposite though)
3.) Hi DRM if we hadn't got Sanchez I would have loved him personally, he's a gamble we all know that but he will be both entertaining and very exciting at times and yes he will let you down at times too.
But yes a big part of me is jealous you have him and not us
4.) I'd have been very happy if we signed him. Top player. Yes a wild one too but 30 goals in 54 games for Milan, a poor Milan side too says it all about his capabilities. And for £16m! Where else can you buy that quality for that price?
5.) Thing is about him, we can talk about how under the right manager he can become world class, but he's been at several clubs with some of the best managers in the world and he's not been anything other than disruptive anywhere. I'm glad we didn't sign him. I'd much prefer a team player with a good attitude.
6.) We have had some great strikers during the history of this club, and thankfully Ballotelli will not get the chance to be one of them, he only plays for one person, and that's himself.
It will be interesting to see how Rodgers gets on with him.
7.) Playing in Italy, no interest in us signing him! Trouble maker!
Singing for a rival, playing in England.yeah, slightly worried/would have liked him/missed a bargain?!
Same deal with fabregas! Fine without him if he was in Spain. at a rival, different issue all together!
8.) If any one can get the best out of him he could be amazing, BR did well with Suarez, so he might be able to tame him. I would rather have him than Giroud, but I would rather have one foot than have to watch giroud for another season
9.) Liverpool have a wonderful signing

So it's unlikely to be accepted then.

He also scored against West Ham dags. The Ox has been much improved of late and actually looking like a good signing. Just have a look at his performance on the weekend, absolutely outstanding! It's a well known fact that Wenger isn't the best coach, he may be a good manager but not a coach, and he simply doesn't get the best out of his players.
I completely agree with you dags. I for one am very happy and I think he will be a success. Then again he could be he complete opposite! (Hoping he isn't the complete opposite though)
