Arsene Wenger got in my cab today.

I said "where to, mate"

He said, "drive with your eyes closed, it's been working for me for the past 8 years".

On a serious note, and please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it Dick Law who is in charge of contracts at Arsenal. If so, he needs a good kicking for the mess we have found ourselves in.

Enough is enough.

Old Ignatian

1.) Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that Dick Law has not respect from the football world and is renowned for his lack of respect for other clubs. I remember a distinct example of Gary Cahill when he was at Bolton. Why is his head not on the line after many a transfer window with some good signings but horrible negotiating?

2.) No it's not Dick Law it's just a DICK mate.

3.) Where you outside Lidl one minute before closing?

couple of humble points.

Fabregas was our captain, stalled for a deal and went to his boyhood club, ok. He was worshipped at Arsenal but mugged us off with feigned injuries and not turning up to even watch his own team play in his final 3 months. Would I have had him back, no, it would have jeopardised Ramsey Wilshere and OX development if injuries didn't come into play.

Next we miss out on Martinez, AW you fool the fella is a beast and Athletico will do some damage with him on board.

Reading next Schniederlin is off to the Mancs. Un effin believable if it happens, another one bites the dust.

Yeah call me a cynic but I'm tired of stupid management decisions that are affecting my club.

doubt whether this will be shown but its what I think.

Over and over and over again.

i bet you complained when wenger didn't get baletolli yet wenger was right not to, he knows more than any of us and we can only go by what the press writes, as for martinez well he is way overpriced for his age and i don't think he would do well in the prem.

2.) 26 Jun 2015 05:38:30
I agree on Fabregas. Won't comment on any other missed transfers until the window closes, as I don't pretend to know Wengers mind.

3.) 26 Jun 2015 08:05:27
If true and Spyder has that little ambition then its best we don't sign him, he already had Europa league football at Southampton so if it is true money is his only reason for joining utd
All can say is WE GOT PETR CECH, WE GOT PETR CECH

4.) 26 Jun 2015 08:52:57
So you wouldn't have fabregas (for those reasons) but you want spyder, when both of them play along side a dmf?

G62 that made me laugh.

5.) 26 Jun 2015 09:08:24
Agreed G62 spot on

6.) 26 Jun 2015 09:42:28
And I suppose these stupid management decisions are the same ones that have lead to us signing Alexis, Ozil, Cech etc.

The same stupid decisions that brought Le Coq back off loan and inspired us to finish so well.

If AW wanted Martinez he would of signed him, it's as simple as that but Wenger knows best. The transfer window isn't even open yet so give the man a break and trust his judgement.

I can only imagine what it would be like if every Tom, dick and Harry was a manager, this is the real world not Fifa..

Apologies gents rant over

7.) 26 Jun 2015 11:13:52
Welcome back Peter long time no read mate, I don't agree with all your super Arsene bit mate but good to hear from you again.
Le Coq? Master management or a very very lucky piece of good fortune born out of share desperation to rescue a season that was in serious danger of imploding.
If Arsene had bought a DM and a CB in August would we have struggled so badly in the first half of the season? " Struggle what struggle " I hear you say :-) " we were 5th and had terrible injuries "! Exactly is my reply :-).
It doesn't matter now because we have Le Coq who for me is as good as we could ask for plus Gabriel who I think will join Le Coq on that level this season plus the mighty Petr Cech.
Arsene still the genius he once was? Yet to be decided but at this moment in time there are very good arguments both for and against it especially when you take into account it was by Arsene's own addmition player power that forced his hand to change tactics at city thus bringing about a performance that would change our formation and tactics and ultimately our season

8.) 26 Jun 2015 18:13:09
Thanks G62 mate appreciate that! Don't get me wrong G62 I've cursed AW over the years for decisions he's made and players he's bought and sold but it just frustrates the life out of me when people winge about missing so called targets.

I agree with your points about if he'd signed players before the start of last season where would we have finished, but that's just it "WHAT IF....."

My previous post might come across as a bit of wenger 'lovin' but it is so easy to criticise him because we haven't signed one of the endless number of targets that we seemed to be linked to its just very annoying to read stupid posts like that...

End of rant #2 ;-)

9.) 26 Jun 2015 21:07:17
Peter I'm with you there mate, were linked with a player by the media who Arsene may well have no interest in at all then when they sign for someone else people say we lost out because of fee, wages, agents fee's or whatever when infact we were never interested in the first place.
People confuse reality and dreams sometimes then blame others for not making it happen.
I'm pleased with how things are right now and am looking forward to a real challenge next season because how we got where we are is history its where we're going that matters now.

10.) 26 Jun 2015 22:39:26
Well said G62 couldn't agree more mate

Very accurate post from Dags earlier, wish I could be as articulate.

My view is simple...

no effin desire or leadership in defence.

OK we missed a lot of chances but FFS when they broke we were all over the shop. Bloody clueless.

AW makes two changes to the team from last Saturday and on paper looked a good move but he got his game plan wrong. Two full backs pushing on leaving our centre backs exposed one of whom is slower than a snail in a French restaurant.

But what infuriates me, and as Dags has said, is AW walking down the tunnel at the end.

Man up, have a bit of respect and class, because not being funny the clock is ticking.

Like the majority on here I am very frustrated with our beloved club at the moment and would like to share my views.

Regarding Arsenal as a club and business. It has been run like any other business that a profit on the books is a good year. If that is so, a truly well run business is also ruthless and does not hold sentiment to it's employees. Football obviously is a results driven industry and one trophy in 8 years for a club of our stature is under achieving. Where does the buck stop?

Secondly, if the club allow this rot to continue, I do not trust Mr Wenger to spend any funds wisely in January or next summer. Stubborness, arrogance and his down right holier than thou attitude leaves me to believe that our problems will half heartedly be addressed. Everyone on here could see our frailities a couple of seasons back and they have not been sorted.

Mr Wenger can redeem himself only by buying a true leader on the pitch who grabs under performers by the scruff of the neck and says it how it should be. The Tony Adams, Frank Mclintock's of this world would not allow this to happen and would have the balls to say it to the manager. No one in our team can or will do this.

Mr Wenger you have transformed our club to a great height but now we are spiralling down, please amend your ways or leave before it's too late.

Thanks for reading

Be lucky

1.) What's concerning is the message that came out of the AGM. Every football decision is his and the board couldn't be happier with him.

Disgruntled fans pleas are falling on deaf ears.

Who next???

Just heard Ozil out for up to 12 weeks.

So should be fit for the January transfer window.

Old Ignatian

1.) Glad we have a new fitness coach! One week into October & the following are injured:
Debauchy, Ozil, Walcott, Gnabry, Giroud, Arteta, Ramsey, Abu Diaby Sanogo!! Is Ospina fit? I seem to recall that Martinez was on the bench for the last match & Koscielny is reported to be carrying an achilles problem.
If we pick up any further injuries in the international break, we will be down to the bare bones.

2.) Robbie.

Walcott Gnabry and Diaby have been long term injury cases inherited by SF Debuchy and Giroud, you can hardly lay any blame towards SF for those 2. Ramsey ok you can be objective with that but when you look at how the injury happened he was over stretching, a typical way for a player to pull a muscle.
His role is to prevent players like Diaby for example from having persistent little injuries. And of course players overall fitness. He's not a miracle injury preventer.

3.) Rocky - I can accept the previous injuries, but it is now beyond a joke. Since the start of the season we have, at some stage been without: Debauchy, Gibbs, Monreal, Ramsey, Arteta, Flamini, Giroud, Ozil, Abu Diaby, Sanogo, Ospina & Wilshere. That excludes the 'old' injuries to Walcott & Gnabry.
Yet, we have hardly played Campbell, Rosicky, Podolski & Coquelin.
I can see us coming unstuck before the January window & struggling to finish in the top four.

4.) Robbie you spelt debauchery wrong!

I can't believe some of your comments below.

We played Southampton not Barcelona.

I watched over paid and over ego'd prima donna's not giving their all for Arsenal tonight and that is unacceptable.

I'm not going to mention individuals but when you put that red shirt on the hairs on the back of your neck need to bristle.

Arsenal should be in their blood and if its a capitol one cup tie or a league game at home to Spurs they should have the same attitude ie win because we are Arsenal. Yes the majority won't even be in the squad for Saturday but FFS they haven't given the manager something to think about.

Ready to be slaughtered but think before you blog without rose tinted glasses.

Old Ignatian

1.) You have probably, seen why people don't force their way into the team and inject that bit of hunger and desire, that I feel is missing this season. Its that comfortable effect again, it not productive. We want hungry players right through the squad.

2.) I can understand to an extent the lack of match sharpness of rosicky and pod but it doesn't excuse them. They should be fighting for the regular first team spot.
I can see podolski leaving in January, with Walcott, chamberlain, gnabry, welbeck, a fit giroud plus Campbell and sanogo he won't be getting the game time. Then there are our young strikers one of whom is making a name for himself in a lower league. I know they aren't all world class players but when you look at it like that it's not bad depth for the front 3.

Remy isn't a step up from Giroud.

What is interesting is the talk that Real Madrid are looking at yet another forward.

Does that leave Benzema a bit cheesed off. .mmmm. I do hope so. and then AW swooping in like a Mr Burns vampire to sign him up.

Wake up OI . .was only a dream.

Be lucky
