Ed thanks for the comprehensive up date below.
The papers today are suggesting Aubameyang as an alternative if Benzema is not available. Is this just paper talk or is it a possibility?

Gooner62

{Ed002's Note - There is remaining interest in Aubameyang from Juventus, Real Madrid and Roma and, unconfirmed, one or both of the Milan clubs might show an interest if available (and Dortmund are happy to see the back of him, but only at a high price - and I think that will block a move this summer). The player has made it clear that he would like to move to Italy. However, that has not deterred Spurs who have had scouts at games late last season. Arsenal and Valencia also had him watched earlier in the season so interest is possible. Dortmund will keep him rather than let hm leave cheaply. He meets the three criteria for Liverpool to make a move (a) he has a clear desire to play elsewhere, (b) he is very expensive, and (c) he has a stupid hair cut.

Not out of the question, but probably very dumb - plenty of luggage.}

1.) 16 Aug 2015 10:06:44
Thanks for the reply ED. Let's hope AW agrees with (a)(b)(c)and the luggage.

I hope Theo does the business today, he has proved himself worthy of the CF roll in open games where teams attack us with a high line but there is still a question mark over him doing it in a tight game where teams are tighter or park the bus.

Good post Gooner62.

Spot on.

Bit of a dilemma though because he is still our best RW.

2.) 04 Oct 2015 10:01:23
He needs a 10 game consecutive run to see what he can do against all comers then we can't see once and for all if he can do it down the middle, on the wing he's either the invisible man or very good but at 26 he's still not a proven top player outwide.
Its middle or bust for me with Theo

Nice to see Costa & Gabriel being charged along with both Arsenal & Chelsea. The cleaner the game the better the football.

Gooner62

1.) 21 Sep 2015 18:04:48
It's embarrassing that arsenal are appealing Gabriel's red card though imo.

2.) 21 Sep 2015 18:27:33
Why are we appealing against gab red, ludicrous really.

3.) 21 Sep 2015 18:57:43
How does work , surely Gabs has been punished?

I don't see how we can appeal Gabs red card?

{Ed025's Note - i cant either banbury..

4.) 21 Sep 2015 19:28:48
so chelseas next three opponents benefit from no costa, while arsenal at nil /nil go a player down and lose the game.
surely it would be a lot fairer and annoy chelsea more to replay the game...... will never happen but....

5.) 21 Sep 2015 19:32:07
Chris,

If Roy Keane stabbed, shot, decapitated, burgled, punched, kicked, spat, kidnapped, robbed and gave an opponent a wedgie, Red nose would appeal the decision.

Get real fella :-)

6.) 21 Sep 2015 19:51:18
No he wouldn't.

Imo, how on earth can u expect any of your players to take responsibility on the pitch if off it Wenger relieves them of any by appealing this decision?

Regardless of how the red came about Gabriel was stupid and could of cost u the game with his stupidity, by appealing this Wenger is sending out the wrong message.

{Ed025's Note - im with you chris..

7.) 21 Sep 2015 20:20:33
Gabs got red and a ban Arsenal lost 3pts so I think that's us done, now let's see what happens to the instigating player and Club?
My guess 3 match ban and a silly fine that Chelsea will pay out of the petty cash.
5 matches and 3pts docked and I don't think Coasta would be mourinho mom or fans hero all of a sudden and we'd see a lot less of this sort of thing from club and player in the future.
By naming him as his mom mourinho has made mugs of the match officials and the premier leagues authority rules the question is he right to do so or will they have the last and laugh at his expense?

8.) 21 Sep 2015 20:33:39
Bloody hell g62, the over reaction by some is unbelievable!

He's a twit I'll give u that but all these over the top reactions are laughable, ban and 3 points reduction, game to be replayed etc!
U realize only one player grabbed someone by the throat and kicked out in this game ain't u and it wasn't Costa, if all it takes is a little slap and scratch u get your players rilled up no wonder u haven't come close to winning a prem in years mate.

U can blame Costa for your loss if u want, I'm sure Theo, giroud and Wenger are glad for a break this week.

He will get a ban I'm sure.

U lot love a scapegoat don't u lol.

9.) 21 Sep 2015 23:48:25
100% agree with CTR. Some of these reactions are way over the top. If you want a replay I'd agree to it, but only if we start the game with the pen that we deserved and you starting the game with 10 men. With none of Costa, Kos, Gabriel and Cazorla being allowed to play. Deal?

10.) 22 Sep 2015 12:22:39
We can not argue with gabriel being sent off, he should never have reacted, i do think the straight red was harsh as is was hardly dangerous play, it was however 100% a second yellow and he was stupid stupid stupid.

Costa should and has been Pulled up on his actions and rightly so as there is no place in the game for that sort of action, play hard yes but i hope we would all agree that was over the line.

the red card had nothing to do with the poor defending for the first goal and the 2nd was a huge deflection.

Someone mentioned the mourinho MOM comment and for me this was awful and he should also be punished, sending out the message that this is the way the game should be played and condoning that behaviour on national TV is a disgrace, i am all for backing your players but to condone that should be punishable .. now i am not saying strip him of all his titles, then the club doctors throw rotten fruit at him and let him coach Sunday league for the rest of his career.. but i do believe that a fine or even a touchline ban ( bit harsh i know). ITs NOT the message he should be sending to the younger generation.

{Ed002's Note - More embarrassing whining.}

11.) 22 Sep 2015 15:19:41
no whining at all ed002 .. i actually said that the decision to send Gab off was correct and also that it had no effect on either goal that we conceded i also believe that even if it was 11 v 11 we would have lost the game.

{Ed002's Note - I deleted the rest of the post because it is absolute trash, nobody has said anything of the sort.}

Charlie Austin is now odds on to join United.
Dags if you still want him you better message the boss soon.

Gooner62

1.) 30 Aug 2015 20:09:33
Gooner62,

That could be another player we are missing out on mate.

2.) 30 Aug 2015 20:26:28
He's a great finisher and that's something we lack, Theo And Giroud miss to many bread and butter chances for me, I'd love to see Charlie starting for us, just not going to happen though

3.) 30 Aug 2015 23:46:57
All seriousness here a can't even believe Charlie Austin is even being mentioned in the same sentence as arsenal! Having a laugh!

4.) 31 Aug 2015 05:31:11
At this point I'd bite your hands off for Austin, bloody dags wins again!

5.) 31 Aug 2015 08:23:19
You know Lemon, you know :-)

6.) 31 Aug 2015 08:52:01
Austin is good. Callum Wilson is also a good finisher.

Why not boys

Do you think that AW should be accountable to us supporters in this transfer window after Tuesday when the window shuts.
Instead of these kind of statements like we were out there 24 hours a day trying to get players and there just was not a deal we could do.
Would it not be more honest if AW said one of the following using Cavani as an example.
A)He was not available.
B)He is not a player that I want.
C)He wanted to much in wages & we were not willing to break our wage structure.
D)He did not want to join us.
E)He was available but they wanted 60 mill which I thought was to much money.
F)He buys Cavani and none of the above is necessary.

Hopefully F and then my post would also be a waste of time.

Gooner62

1.) 30 Aug 2015 10:19:48
F is also a waste of an option and money, Cavani isn't the player at PSG what he was in his Previous club, just a shadow of himself.

2.) 30 Aug 2015 10:55:24
I don't agree Mystifier. Cavani would convert a good percentage of the chances that Arsenal make. Just look at Giroud's chance near the end Cavani would have buried it.

3.) 30 Aug 2015 11:32:05
I agree Girouds was a bad bad miss towards the end so was wallcots, but i have seen Cavani miss howlers as well, that CL game last season against chelsea he should have easily scored 2, when Zlatan was sent off and he was given the role through the middle, now playing with 10 men and for his quality he should have converted those but dint. He had a crappy WC as well inspite of playing every game. If that was Suarez we wouldn't even be having this discussion. But i fear he has gone low just like Falcao.

4.) 30 Aug 2015 11:43:57
Cavani would be an excellent buy for Arsenal....though it won't happen, as I said Wenger has ( in his head )

Giroud
Walcott
Welbeck
Sanchez

More than enough goal threat ( in his head )

Arsene will also believe that you can't keep missing chances he will know sooner or later we will thrash someone.

Cavani 78 gls in 104 app for Napoli

34 in 66 for PSG he is a tough South American he would do well for Arsenal

5.) 30 Aug 2015 12:49:57
Exactly thanks for it bringing his club up kept forgetting it, he isn't the same player at napoli which he was

29 Aug 2015 15:45:04
Away specialist. West Ham & Arsenal continue there climb up the league. I do have a soft spot for West Ham especially today.

Gooner62

1.) 29 Aug 2015 16:19:07
Agreed :)

2.) 29 Aug 2015 18:43:44

Now that Manchester United are sniffing around Benzema then Cavani would probably be the one.

If true then the player concerned wants to wait and see how we get on against Liverpool before committing.
