To have players who play as well as Rambo, Giroud, Ozil etc. Just nice to feel a little less nervous every game. We are in good form.

CL this week will be interesting a new d then how we play after a CL league game.

We look a pretty good side.

So nice to see us top of the league

Watching now at 70 minutes. A further view on an England player. Kate looks shot. He hasn't confidence. And he has had a shocker.

sterling looks like the price, expectations and the arrival of Delivery Bruyne at Man City. Can be much better.

By the way CTR. forgot to say Material. Jealous.

I think the kid is class. Honestly think the reason Depay's form has dipped.

Depay was the great hope. Big fanfare then bang. Martial arrives. Boom. The boys looks like a man at 19 who knows he is good.

Depay looks like a boy who thinks he is good.

When Depay bucks up. Scarey forwards.

Evening Commander,

Good post. Agree about Depay, had a great game against Brugge, not too sure if he is cut out for the prem, too cut and thrust.

Hi Jin mate good to see you've popped up :-)
You should check out the poker page, that would really confuse CTR

Chris.

Even if you decide not to post, which I think would be a shame, o am sure you will at least read this.

Whatever is happening between you and Stoner, Stoner it surprises me. I hey on with both he and you so the issue between you and Stoner has me flummoxed.

We all have opinions and there will always be differences, but that is part of life.

Banter is why we are all here.

I hope you don't disappear bit if you do I respect your decision.

I don't think people on hear are sheep to Stone's Shepherd. And even if in a moment of annoyance think such a thing, saying isn't the ctr that I have always had an enjoyable discussion with on both Man U and Arsenal. Let just say that was a moment of silliness and move on.

We all need to do our best not to be rude to each other. Sometimes I think anyone can be guilty of typing things they might not actually say. This the curse of technology on our lives.

If you do decide to leave, which I hope you don't, I will keep you informed with regards to meeting up. That is without question.

I will also pop onto your page for a chat once in a while.

Hopefully reading this might change your perspective. If it doesn't, then at least I have tried to evidence we are all indivuals, I am for sure, and so we aren't sheep. ;)

There will always be moments. I took a long sabbatical as did Stoner. But it how we rise about them and move forward that defines us as decent human beings.

All of us have a choice how we behave, what we voice, how we react and how we let things get or not get to us

Me, I am a simple man who wants decency, respect and enjoyment to prevail, so will always try to make choice that bring such to fruition.

I don't always succeed but I always try.

Make the decision that works for you best.

Sorry for the typos. Hope it is still understandable.

And Stoner I wasn't singling you out, the name Stoner double entered. So apologies if it mis-taken in any way.

J

2.) 03 Jul 2015 21:02:09
This is rediculess. It's a banter page but no banter allowed really. I understand been personal is a no no and swearing and sick chanting not for this page. But come on CTR don't take your ball in . Iv found your dummy and washed it off for you. I have a packet of sweets and some fizzy pop. Alls good ✌️

3.) 03 Jul 2015 21:09:46
My personal view is don't get personal with each other unless mega obviously in jest.
All views are equal no matter how far apart they are, no one has a monopoly on being right and even Dags isn't always wrong ( can't remember a time he wasn't though :-)
CTR take 5 and come back mate.
The last time things got really personal on here between 2 people we lost a lot of really good posters many of who I haven't seen post since and that's a real shame.

4.) 03 Jul 2015 21:12:56
Jeez,

I disappear for a week and bedlam breaks out in the asylum.

Didn't see Chris and Stoner's post, but I'm sure it was all good banter, deep down inside.

C'mon guys, if it wasn't for the banter, this page, indeed website, would be as much use as a 2nd hand parachute from the pound shop.

Keep posting Chris, you are a good laugh, and Stoner just says things as he see's it, he's a good lad and a good poster.

It's all good fun.

5.) 03 Jul 2015 21:20:26
100% g62 there are lines. You need fans from other teams for banter. I'm getting a bit sick of the only topic been about le coq. CTR is resilient he will be back pumping iron.

CTR I know your out there bench pressing cars screaming stoners name. But come inside kettles on pal

6.) 03 Jul 2015 21:40:18
Totally agree Brow we need a Le Coq break for a bit although nothing like as long as the ones my missus goes on when she's on one :-(

7.) 03 Jul 2015 21:43:18
Dags it was a bit like when Jarvis cocker ran on stage at the Brits .... And the country was outraged

8.) 03 Jul 2015 21:52:31
Haha G62 when she's on one she doesn't get on one. Same all over the world . The one weapon they have over us

9.) 03 Jul 2015 22:20:53
G62 Grrrr lol.

Remember it well Browgun.
Good old Jarvis :-)

10.) 03 Jul 2015 22:47:36
I just wish everyone at her work the local supermarket the people who park where she wants to park (in the shade during summer/sun during winter) would think be of me before they upset her :-)

11.) 04 Jul 2015 01:06:43
It was from my post below. Nothing personal or nasty, pure banter. The fact is CTR doesn't handle reality checks very well, ruins the fantasy world he likes to live in. He's certainly fine with coming on here and dishing it, not so good at copping it though. I didn't have him pegged as a fair weather banter kinda guy but, obviously he doesn't like a 2 way street. All of a sudden it's abuse to remind him how terrible United have been in the last few years.

03 Jul 2015 08:35:16
Does anyone else think that we should try and get Jose Luis Gaya as our left back for years to come?

The guy looks class, and he and Bellerin could be the left and right back for Spain for years to come possibly.

I think he would be a good addition and I think if he is available we should look to try and get him.

Eds, do you know if he is available and if anyone has shown an interest such as us?

Also, my two pennies worth on the Le Coq discussion that has been going on for a few days.

Yes, he was magnificent for us when he came back. He earned the right to keep his place and play last season, and he played.

This season going forward, we need to definitely buy another DM as we are exposed if Le Coq is injured, but considering the amount of other very talented players who are not guaranteed first team action last season, Wilshire, Ramsey, then every player should be "bringing their A game" each week to fight to get on the team sheet for each game.

Adding a very good DM either makes Le Coq improve (and I think there is more to come) or a better player taking his spot until he deposes them. Competition brings the best out of the best, and shows the weaknesses of the weak.

Carvalho, although unknown in PL having never played here, looks a very good player. He is strong, mobile, has good feet, can play a pass, defensively minded but can link play to. He plays in a similar mould to, dare I say it, Yaya, and he cane play CB. Why would we not be interested. He or either of the Bender Bros (my preference would be Lars) would be welcome additions in my eyes.

If we can get Benzema or Lacazette (yes please Arsene, to Lacazette the wing wizard who looks like a striker to me)then I think we can go into any game with a pretty close first 11 to any team in the league no matter who they buy).

On a slightly different note, I am really looking forward to seeing Gabriel play this season, if he has got on top of the language, as he looks like a defensive warrior. He and Kos could be a real pairing if they click.

Hope everyone is well. Love you all. Have a good day.

Can't wait for your agreeing or disagreeing comments to my thoughts about.

Let the banter begin.

P.S. Stoner. Love seeing you back, love seeing your comments. Do you think, as I do, we are close to a return to the days of beautiful football AND beautiful results like 2004?

J

JinKent

{Ed002's Note - Gaya was first choice for Chelsea but is not available.}

1.) 03 Jul 2015 09:26:40
Hi Jin mate, personally I'd sign cover for Le Coq but not someone who will block his path and the chance he's earned, if we sign Carvalho at £30 million he's not going to be cover at that money or with his ability and growing reputation he's going to be given and demand first choice billing.
This time last year I'd have said pay what it takes to get Carvalho Bender or who ever because our need was massive and if we had and Le Coq emerged as cover happy days but things haven't panned out that way and Le Coq has proved himself worthy of our trust in the season ahead at least and hopefully will extend that trust further still the more he plays.
Carvalho simply will not be joining us as anything other than our number 1_DM in my opinion mate.

2.) 03 Jul 2015 09:17:21
Thanks for clearing that up ED002. I can understand why Chelsea wanted him. I think he is going to be very very good, to be honest, he already seems very good.

J

3.) 03 Jul 2015 09:52:51
G62.

I completely understand your view, but I think there will be teams and times where we could and possibly should play both.

It seems a strange position to be in, without question, but he has not played a full season at the pace of the PL and playing for us with our 100% energy style, and I think it is a big step up to do it week in week out.

To be honest, it is the first time in some time that Arsene has such a conundrum to concern himself with in the centre of midfield defensively.

Hopefully he will make the right decision.

Time will tell.

Hope your day has started well.

J

4.) 03 Jul 2015 10:35:13
The idea of having and starting both is appealing but who makes way to slow that :-) its a problem mate but we've had worse ones.
The thing that I see as our most likely downfall next season is rotation to keep all happy which I fear is going to happen if we sign a DM or not and I'm personally a big fan of playing your best 11 in every PL and CL game without fail and resting players in domestic cup games only.

5.) 03 Jul 2015 11:04:24
Hey J,

It's been good to see you back too mate, I'm feeling genuinely positive about next season and little reason not to be.

Coquelin has been quality in that role and seems to have all the attributes to make the position his. Whilst I like Arteta he was our DM during the games against Chelsea, City and Liverpool where we fell apart. It's just not the right position for him so agree totally we need another.

Javi Martinez was once linked to us as was Lars Bender, Carvalho with a €37 million buy out clause is what seems to be most clubs concern when thinking of buying him. I really want to see another DM brought in, in the same mould, Wanyama being another option. It's a headache for Arsene and he has to get it right.

Gabriel I'm looking forward to seeing alongside Koscielny but read an article on the Arsenal web page where Szczesny voted him as having the worst banter as after 6 months he could still only say a few words in English so hope he gets that sorted.

Would love to see Lacazette, Sanchez and Walcott interchanging up front. ;-)

6.) 03 Jul 2015 12:53:48
Lacezette, Walcott and Sanchez

or

Aubameyang, Walcott and Sanchez.

Whichever one, we would have the fastest front line that exists in football, at least in the PL.

I can dream!

Would be nice for either to become a reality though Stoner.

Isn't it nice to be able to be positive without seemingly being told that "one is detached from reality" as we used to be slated for when posting positivity in previous years Stoner!

J.

7.) 03 Jul 2015 14:58:17
It seems to have taken a long long time to get to feeling this good about the team, the change Sanchez and Coquelin have brought, the young guys starting to come of age with Ozil getting better and Cazorla showing what he can really do.

Aubameyang hasn't had a great time at Dortmund having been hailed as the next big thing so he does concern me but guess the same could be said of Lacazette if he turned up and didn't do the business.

I get the feeling Wenger knows who he wants for where but may well be playing his usual waiting game.

It's all good J and I can't wait for the Chelsea game, albeit only the Community Shield.

8.) 03 Jul 2015 15:21:47
Wouldn't it be nice to beat them to the first trophy of the season!

Get the season off to a bang!

I agree with everything you have said.

They do say great minds think alike .........

J

9.) 03 Jul 2015 15:35:47
Ha ha, and there was me thinking I was losing mine.

I know many fans, mostly opposing, loved to jump on the 9 year bandwagon and usually blame Wenger but there is only so much you can achieve and he did bloody well.

Still have every faith he can do it again, the money is there and he is putting together a great looking squad with a great looking style of play.

It won't be easy but I'm certain we'll be in it until the end. Be nice for Cech to pick up his 1st medal of his Arsenal career against them too. ;-)

22 Jun 2015 17:12:38
Stoner,

Love the avatar pic, who is it? I am really am not being facetious. Just wondering who it was of?

And if I manage to sort out a drink with Dags, G62 and other, I hope you would be willing to attend?

J

JinKent

1.) 22 Jun 2015 18:05:45
Better not tell him I'm invited :)

2.) 22 Jun 2015 19:52:54
Chris,

Jinkent can walk in pub 1st.
G62 2nd.
Me 3rd.
You can be 4th.

That ok mate? :-)

3.) 22 Jun 2015 20:16:11
Chris I am sure we can all get on in the real world for a day.

Stoner and I have chatted before I ever met you on here and I think (hope) he knows I am just an old fashioned gent, happy to meet friends for a laugh and a drink.

I am a people person, especially to all those personable to me.

And Stoner and I used to have long chats about our Arsenal, with me always trying to see the positive even when they were tough to defend.

:)

4.) 22 Jun 2015 20:19:24
Sounds good to me Dags although CTR may have to suffer the indignity of pay off round first :-)

5.) 22 Jun 2015 20:21:41
It's the lovely Mrs Sanchez mate, not sure what she sees in him when she could have Chris.

Would be good to get up there if I can sort it J, besides ,Chris is dying to meet me.

Sounds like Cech is done, now for a few more then were up for a quality season.

I was disappointed with 3rd as 2nd at the end was up for grabs and barriers like that need to be knocked down if you're aiming for the big prize.

Ps it would be good to meet you Chris. :-) I'm not scary like Malaga.

6.) 22 Jun 2015 21:21:36
G62. I would like the honour of the first round please. :)

Stoner. It would seem Sanchez and his arrival has been of benefit on so many levels.

I think if we can add a cdm, Carvalho or either if the Bender Bristol and add a pack powerful forward who has good feet, or if not great feet then good pace strength and finishing and I honestly believe we are ready to roll.

I like the idea of Benzema or Higuain, although have no idea if either is possible.

Jackson Martinez has scored goals for fun but one of the other two would be my preference.

I think we might be OK at cb with Chambers, Gabriel and Koscielny but if we could get Carvalho, he can play cb and then I would be happier.

Lastly, an area that not many speak about. But left back.

There is a real talent around in the 16-20m bracket.

My preference would Jose Louis Gaya. The boy looks very impressive indeed. Watched a lit of him last season on TV.

I think he and Bellerby could be the future Spanish 1st team for years to come. And having them playing together for us would be a real coup.

If nor Lucks Digne. He would be tougher to get.

Excited to say the least!

And I am sure Chris would enjoy meeting us all, and we him.

I know I would enjoy putting faces to you all. :)

J

{Ed025's Note - it would frighten the life out of me JK.. :)

Which bit ED025.

Or are we remarking on my many typos using a touch keyboard on a mobile phone. :)

{Ed025's Note - meeting that lot JK...It would be like the adams family reunion.. :)

8.) 22 Jun 2015 22:20:37
Oh.

Putting games to it all. I see now. Perhaps I am just the eternal optimist.

:)

J

9.) 22 Jun 2015 23:07:00
Oy uncle fester (Ed025:-) what's all this they business! I hope you'll be joining us I hope, all the kebabs you can eat and as much southern comfort as you care for mate.
Seriously mate if you could make it that would be really brilliant

{Ed025's Note - i would love to G62, as soon as im free to visit the smoke i will arrange to meet up and have a pint or 28 mate..

10.) 22 Jun 2015 23:26:21
Im pretty sure I speak for everyone in saying it would be an absolute pleasure to buy you a pint mate, we are lucky enough to have the best page on the best site and an awful lot of that is down to you Ed mate, OK Ed001 might have played some small part somewhere as well I suppose :-)

{Ed025's Note - cheers mate..

22 Jun 2015 10:40:22
Eds,

Could you re-post the below again for me please. I wanted to make sure Honey Badger and CTR saw it (the comments about the Man U team the season ahead) and that the both the Gooner Mancs :D and the Gooners on here saw the bit about getting together to get everyones thoughts.

Thanks

J

21 Jun 2015 20:28:55
(banter please Eds)

G62.

This sounds like something that might be growing legs.

When would be best to maybe do it. After the season has started, or before it starts anew?

And I would be happy to accept a drink or two in return, Thank you.

Let me see when I might be able to get a weekend day free.

I'll update everyone then and see who is up for it.

Badger, let the banter commence and looking forward to some agreeing to disagreeing, or who knows, maybe agreeing once or twice. ;)

The fun is in the enjoyment that the banter creates.

G62, Dags, I think I am going to be back a little more this year, the Mancs migrating looks like a good year ahead.

Respect to one and all.

J

JinKent

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 20:41:42
(banter please Eds)

Badger, I agree about the nouveau rich needing to be put back in the box.

If Cech is allowed to leave to Arsenal by Agronomic then he has shown some real class by keeping his promise. He will have earned my respect.

The gutter snipe Mourinho, a completely different view. A winner he may well be, but class he will never have. He is solely focused on himself, and how he is seen.

As you may have got, I dislike him intensely. I have come across a few similar in business.

A word on your team. I think Man U will be a very different team next season. Van Haal is a strong and very good manager. He will recruit well, have the team playing his formation and tactics. I think Depay could be a real talent. He and a second season Di Maria are a frighteningly scarey prospect. I think RVP needs to go. If I was you I would swap Rooney for Cavani, then go get a Defensive midfielder such as Schneiderlin, and Gooners I think we need Carvalho not Schneiderlin. I think we need a second Coquelin, the rest of our midfield is fantastic.

A centre back or two and a new right back and your talking.

Anyway, time will tell and it is only my initial opinion. :)

JinKent

1.) 22 Jun 2015 11:07:10
Jin I'm away just for a couple of weeks in the run up to the season so soon into it would suit me best mate if that's OK with everyone else, fist week in October might be good if CTR Honey Rosie etc are thinking of joining us, OK we probably won't all get tickets for the game but I'm sure those who can't could watch the game in a local pub and those who can could join up after the game , just an idea Everyone?

2.) 22 Jun 2015 11:36:59
Sounds like a good idea.

Gives everyone a chance to plan and get agreement from those they must (for me, that would be the wife).

J

3.) 22 Jun 2015 13:19:52
So people are on about meeting up for drinks right? I'll only come if Malaga comes too :)

Let me know if u need any idea's as I know a few people that hire out bar rooms complete with bar and bbq area etc and do so at a very good price too.

4.) 22 Jun 2015 13:28:03
I take it you're not coming then Chris :)? Oh well, I guess I will have to put away my shotgun for now :(

5.) 22 Jun 2015 13:51:18
Chris.

Could such places show the game if we wanted so we could all watch the game together?

That might be quite interesting.

J

6.) 22 Jun 2015 15:32:50
Yes mate they do.

Rue, if u ever met me u would realise what a nice guy I really am, salt of the earth me :)

I just know a few people that would interest Malaga :) plus kfc is round the corner to satisfy his munchies :)

7.) 22 Jun 2015 15:41:20
Hey J,

Good to see you back posting mate, sounds like life is good, looking forward to the new season and some of our patience paying off.

The team is actually looking in great shape and whatever additions Wenger makes it will only make us stronger. :-)

8.) 22 Jun 2015 16:01:43
Glad to see you back to Stoner.

Hopefully you will be less of a stranger this season like I am trying to be.

We look like we are in better shape than for some time, hopefully with improvements to come.

Let's hope we continue to buy class, but astutely, as we have done the last few seasons.

I am really looking forward to seeing Mezut this coming season. I think it could be very interesting indeed.

Superb signing, made so much sweeter by Mourinho saying he would sell Cech to Arsenal as he would not want to strengthen a competitor for the title, not once but twice Lol

Abramovic, class.

Mourinho, Scum

It is such a big signing for us. We have not had a keeper of his stature, both as a keeper and as a human being.

Two more signings, Benzema and Carvalho please, and no matter who everyone else buys at least we would be equal as a first 11.

I am ecstatic!

And our squad looks incredibly strong all of a sudden.

We have strength in depth for once.

And if Stepney wants the number 1 shirt back he has really lot to improve now, so tome to step up or ship out, so even beneficial there!
