{Ed002's Note - Inter's Mauro Icardi has been subject to sustained interest from Atletico Madrid and Chelsea, with both Arsenal and West Ham watching the player late last season. He was very much Chelsea's first choice striking addition for the summer of 2015 but he eventually signed a new deal with Inter - a contract that is in his favour unlike the one he had previously. It seems unlikley, regardless of a number of difficulties there are with the player, that they would look to sell in January unless they were to recieve a very, very good offer. However to counter that, Inter need to raise money for purchases and are actively looking at players with Piero Ausilio attending two recent games in London and holding discussions with Chelsea over another player. Add to that Icardi's form has not been great just recently.}

Why is it always about trying to get the perfect goal. after we scored we should have pushed abit quciker to try for a winner. ozil is better down the middle.
1.) Joe n it is always about the perfect goal because that is Arsene's dream to create 'perfect' football. This dream is sadly pushing me to the Wenger out camp.
2.) Same as that. set pieces need to be worked on 2 most of our corners the deliverey was poor

1.) What does everyone & Ed think of Khedira? I've never been overly impressed but must admit I haven't seen a lot of him?
2.) Khedira, besides ramsey please if there is a god.
3.) I don't know where u would play him you have rambo jack ozil wally and the ox carzola then flamimi arteta diaby when fit and the promisin young lad and gnabry vela unless we lose carzola to athletico I read they were preparing 18 mil bid because turan mayve on his way
4.) I would much rather of had cesc than khedira, khedira would be a massive waste of money

Hernandez wants out of man u due to lack of 1st team action. price of around 15mil would be perfect for us if they would sell him.
1.) Great news go get him. Together with Giroud and Berba great front line.
2.) He would be a fantastic addition, he is wasted at Man United but know they would not sell to us.
3.) If we sell Bendtner, sure.
But just signing him for the sake of signing another striker, No.

It was reported y-day that lewandowski was unhappy with dortmund and bayern over a move. I love for arsenal to make a move for him, surely a decent bid would be better for dortmund rather than lose him for nothing next year.
{Ed022's Note - Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE Lewandowski to come to Arsenal. He is only 24 but is already world class and has lots of experience. He would slot straight in and score goals for fun. However, in a note of caution, Dortmund could offer him to other clubs but think about it, he'd be priced at about £25m and there are a few clubs who could do with a striker; Real Madrid, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal to name a few. Do yo think we could outbid these clubs or convince Lewandowski to join us over these clubs? If we're completely being honest, I think we would come up short. However, my gut is still that he will join Bayern on a free next year...}

{Ed022's Note - But can we? Actually OUTBID them? That was my point. Wenger has a valuation of EVERY player and if it goes above his valuation then he won't bid for them. Therefore, we won't outbid Chelsea, Real Madrid or Man Utd. We were interesting in Cavani, Higuain, Mata, Hazard but as soon as their price tag was above AW's market value we didn't stand a chance...}

If we had sanchez in the form that he had last season and combined it with ozil's form this season they would tear defences apart.

Playing Sanchez against Norwich when his hamstring wasnt right before the game now looks like the turning point for both player and club Joe.
He hasn't returned the same player for some reason which maybe because of last summers copa America following the previous summers world cup so fatigue has caught up with him or for another reason we're not aware of .
Im not sure he will be an Arsenal player next season or Mesut come to that even though I do think well be in the champions league as usual I don't think going through the motions and last 16 is enough to hold either of them at the club for another season.

I think we are all over reacting a tad! I agree this season has possibly been the most disappointing I can remember in years but I don't think we are going to be losing our star players! I think we will have another very frustrating window in the summer and sadly will probably have to wait another year and hope that we at least secure another top 4 finish next year to at least give whoever comes in a fighting chance. The frustrating thing is it dosent really matter who we buy the way he has the Arsenal players playing is the main problem! I'm sure you all can remember what Sanchez was doing when first he came he was taking players on making room and having a crack on goal but now he appears to be doing what every Arsenal player does and that's pass pass pass round the edge of the box and little dinks over the top not even getting it in with some pace or whip. We are very predictable and everyone knows how we play, we move the ball slowly and every team are doing us quickly on the break. I really don't know how we can go forward it's looking stale and I have no idea how it's going to change.

We really had a good chance of winning the league this year. but I now think we have blown. we have failed to step up to the plate when everyone else around was down and put a gap between us and the rest.
2 points from a possible 12 is not the sign of champions. no real leader on the pitch and really lacking a top striker.

It's unreal every team needs a bit of luck but it just won't go in for us and a foul on ozil for there 1st goal nd now cech is out for the spurs game. will be lucky to get 4th at this stage.
