It's the same old same old. It ain't worked for years not games! What sort of arrogance is it that says just 'cause it didn't work the last 70 odd games doesn't mean it won't today.

The players don't believe it anymore we ain't for ages but Wenger does. The next game. Will be exactly the same as this. He sadly is now clueless. I just want him to leave with a degree of honour, if nothing else he deserves that. But this season as we look it's 6-7 for us.

Saliba that good at that age is ridiculous, stunning debut. Can read a game like Bobby Moore at 20! Get him signed up for ever!

1.) 06 Aug 2022 20:55:12
It’s crazy actually getting to see him and how good he looks, but everybody knew he was going to be.

{Ed014's Note - who are these everybody, that’s what I want to know! ?

2.) 06 Aug 2022 22:17:07
Everyone I’ve spoke to about it, never heard anyone say any other that he would be great.

{Ed014's Note - it was a bit of a joke mate as I’ve been banging on about him forever and no one seemed convinced so it’s nice to know plenty have liked him and I wasn’t alone. ?

3.) 07 Aug 2022 12:25:57
Ah sorry just been casting my eyes over rumours page missed the skit lol.

Hi guys from an absolutely knackered old man.

Firstly many thanks again for your kind replies this is a great site.

Wow! That was some game to score 6! Yeah it's a friendly but we were good very good Big shout for Saliba he is special.

Martinelli brill as was everyone but Jesus oh my! We could be on the verge of a great team.

Had a great day going to sleep for a week now.

{Ed014's Note - glad you had a great time mate and they put on a show for and welcome aboard the Saliba train.

Stay safe mate, look after yourself and go get some well earned shuteye!

1.) 30 Jul 2022 18:02:19
Very pleased for you Saga. Love how you're creating memories with your grandson. That's special!

2.) 30 Jul 2022 19:01:19
Best post ever that Saga mate ❤
no other words are needed from me ❤❤❤.

3.) 30 Jul 2022 19:19:53
So glad you had the best time Saga, enjoy your shuteye and recuperate from all the excitement x.

4.) 30 Jul 2022 19:23:24
Glad you had a super day live long in the memory ?.

5.) 30 Jul 2022 22:10:13
Glad to hear you had such a memorable day!
I’m heading over from Ireland in September with my 7 year old son to the Utd game at old Trafford, he’s a United fan (for now) so going for a similar score line to the one you got today, hahah.
Ed Saliba is a Rolls Royce mate, the confidence is high also right now, you can see how comfortable he is drawing opponents in close and then weaving his way out of trouble. Yet to be tested properly but when’s the last time you were so excited for a season?
When Tierney and Tomi come back into that side we’re a handful for anybody.
Let’s not forget about ESR and Vieira either!

6.) 31 Jul 2022 10:36:44
Glad you had a great day out Saga mate ❤️?.

7.) 31 Jul 2022 15:53:38
Glad you had a great day Saga mate. A lot of things to be excited about this season.

27 Jul 2022 12:01:19
Hi guys hope you are all well and keeping cool in the lovely summer we are having. It's another season starting up my 65th! I'm sure you are as up for it as me. You get to my age and reflection is a natural as each season comes around. I got to thinking the other day about the years I've supported The Arsenal and realised I'm not a supporter smaller clubs have those. This club is part of me and my life the players I've seen. Jack Kelsey when he and all 'keepers wore a green roll neck jumper and flat cap, the most underrated player we've ever had George Eastham he was some player. Mel Charles at center half, not as good as his big brother John! Vic Groves [I think I saw him]. Then the Radford Kennedy and wee Georgie. Chippy Brady Charlie George, loved him still do. The wonderful Rocky bless him. Big Tony Adams and the best defense in England Bertie Mee's double wining team. George Graham's wining teams. The wonderful Wenger years, seeing the best ever player ever to pull on an Arsenal shirt Bergkamp, Wrighty, Perez and the amazing Henry a player that changed strikers for ever.
I remember walking up Avenall Road and Gillespie Road on Highbury's last game with my then young grandson, with tears in my eyes realising I'll never go in there again. The following season going to The Grove with my grandson just the best feeling. So many players so many I've forgotten the names of, that invincible season was just the best!
So it's not supporting, this club is part of me and I consider I'm part of it. so many memories of games I've seen, Ian Ure breaking Billy Bremmer's nose and Bremmer crying as he went off. Brady telling Souness if you can't take it don't give it out on M. O. D. Loved that Souness a hard man, not fit o clean Stories boots.
But this is a different season for me. We are off to the game on Saturday my grandson his mum, our daughter, the present Mrs Saga and myself. Sadly this will be my last visit to a live game as my health isn't as good now and it's a long journey from Blackheath over there, so it's going to be a great day it always is, going there, but tinged with a real sadness. I hope that the youngsters here in a few years time will sit down like me think over the times they've loved this special club of ours. So fellow gooners enjoy the good days and bad days [I lived thru the Billy Wright years]. Look at what I think Mikel and Edu are starting to build here and hold those memories close. Have a great season guys, I got to feeling it's a special one. COYG.

1.) 27 Jul 2022 13:40:18
That’s one of the best posts ever

Take care saga.

2.) 27 Jul 2022 14:54:53
Great post Saga! Have a great day Saturday and hope your health improves enough to go again. One point though Perez in the company of Bergkamp Wrighty and Henry a bit of a stretch lol ( Sure you meant Paddy ) VTH.

3.) 27 Jul 2022 15:12:32
Sorry to hear you are not in good health mate, take care from the famous Raver of Tottenham Hotspur.

4.) 27 Jul 2022 16:02:02
Brilliant post Saga.
I am 66 and was 8 when I first went to Highbury so I got 58 years so I am trailing you. Fingers Furnell was the first goalie I saw at Highbury and you obviously seen him. Like you Saga some great great memories.
So have a great day Saga keep safe and well and hopefully we got some more great memories to come.

5.) 27 Jul 2022 16:06:13
Saga. its fans like you that make me proud to be a gooner. Really hope you're health improves and you have an amazing day.
Also, I bought 2 tickets for sat but can't make it due to rail strike, so, if there's 2 others you kbow that want to go, and there is anyway i can 4ward tickets to you, you're welcome to have them ?.

6.) 27 Jul 2022 16:09:28
Emailed the club, and they said if anyone affected by rail strike, on this occasion they'll allow tickets to be passed on to family or friends, seeing as though we're all arsenal, in my eyes we're all friends ?.

{Ed014's Note - great gesture mate and another reason to be proud to be a gooner!

7.) 27 Jul 2022 16:46:46
Love this site

8.) 27 Jul 2022 16:24:09
?if there's anyone that can benefit from tickets, its an absolute pleasure, only get binned otherwise.

9.) 27 Jul 2022 18:58:00
Brilliant post and responses, that's why I love this club. Enjoy the game Saga ⚽️.

10.) 27 Jul 2022 20:32:35
As others have said, lovely post Saga, and although I hope your health improves and you get to see many more games at the Emirates, it’s lovely that you will be at this game with family, including your grandchild. That’s a lovely reminder that we are all just caretakers, overlooking the club during our time, calling out bad owners or practices, to preserve the club and it’s reputation not just for us, but also for those future fans, just as all those that have supported the club for the past 100 years have done for us. So I hope you all have a wonderful day.

11.) 28 Jul 2022 05:34:10
Great Post mate.

12.) 28 Jul 2022 09:36:20
Thanks for your good wishes everyone. Sadly as I have stage 4 Prostate Cancer I ain't liable to improve. I've done well these past 3 yrs but am struggling a tad now. But I've also got a spine issue that makes walking very difficult and that's the reason this will have to be my last trip. That said I'm hoping to do a Ray Clemence and get a few more yrs yet, he was a great ambassador for PC. In closing just a reminder to all the men reading this: get checked a regular PSA test is vital a high or low result doesn't mean you have or don't have it but an upward movement is iffy so going 4.5.6 get checked if over 65 and a PSA of 11 gives you a 50% chance of having it. Don't believe the myth it's an 'easy' cancer. More men die of PC than women die of breast cancer! So if you are going to the loo at lot. more that 2 a night get checked and keep getting checked. It may save your life. Sorry about the rant but us men generally close this out of their life Don't!

{Ed001's Note - I am so sorry to hear that saga, I hope you are around for many years to come.}

13.) 28 Jul 2022 11:47:22

14.) 28 Jul 2022 11:55:01

15.) 28 Jul 2022 14:39:50
Love and prayers saga mate.

16.) 28 Jul 2022 15:10:20
I don't need to tell you to keep fighting Saga mate because clearly you already are. I am so sorry to hear about what you're going through but from one Gooner to another I will make sure I continue to show the club the same loyalty as you have through your life so far. Wishing you all the very best mate ?⚪️.

17.) 28 Jul 2022 16:44:44

Nufing to serious guys just old age creeping up I had a serious car accident with a 40 tonne lorry back n the 90s and it gives me grief nowadays. But i'm back in the sun with several pints on a mates 70th birthday talking about old London when scooter louts would have had a visit from a bloke in a Crombie and Trilby and told to behave themselves or get a slap.
Oh met a few gooners today as well and a really good mate that just happens to sadly be a spud. We had a good few EFES tween us as well. No hate here.
Looking forward to a great season
So from a very half cut sagalout have a great day guys.

{Ed001's Note - glad you are feeling a bit better and a lot drunker mate. Enjoy your night.}

This is the problem with a completely new set up guys. None of know what the new set up are aiming for. IRS in the backroom and Emery have, hopefully, a working plan but we won't see it till 3-4 games in. There is a total rebuild happening, this ain't going to be solved in one season.
Meantime we can all have fun hoping this player stays leaves or comes in. It's going to be fun but hold tight.

Yeah it's true re the baguettes, but they are only at the dough stage and not proven or baked yet. But when done will look promising 😂.
